First off, Janette thank you for not pushing the envelope!! Love that. Second, WHY DID THIS NOT GET HIGHER. The timing was good for the routine. The routine wasn't lustful, it gave a mood like a RomCom at the end, I like it. Fluidity was present within the routine. If I was to critique anything it would HRVY swaying his hips in one setting, then moving around the floor, but other than that, THIS WAS A SOLID ROUTINE! *9!!!!!*

Well I loved this! It had the right feel for a Rumba, all the Rumba walks, arm to arm, cuccharachas, sliding doors etc. He finished his lines beautifully which was a surprise because normally he doesn't, great hip action, beautiful chemistry and such a quiet and understated routine. Unfortunately it stopped a little to much and the judges are right his footwork was a bit odd his left foot wasn't turned out enough. But I thought the sheer performance and connection was just sensational and one of the best male Rumba's ever I think. Upper body fantastic, lower half wasn't just as fantatsic but I thought it was beautiful. Still my winners. Come on Janette it's final for you surely 8 years long time coming. *9/10*
The snow globe staging was really inspired and this was a gorgeous dance for Janette. But for HRVY the hip action was lacking and he struggled but 90% of his dances have been amazing.
This was so cute! Romantic and beautiful. Loved the snow globe concept. You can tell it isn't natural on him though and the work he's putting into it, it didn't quite flow as it should but was still pretty damn good for a male celeb rumba- none of the other male contestants this year would even be able to touch that. That 7 from Craig was harsh, should've been straight 8s.

On the positive side, I truly loved the connection between the two of them, it was really soft and beautiful. I loved their outfits too, they both looked lovely. I also loved HRVY's cucaracha step, it had beautiful hip action. However, on the positive side, I wanted a bit more rumba content, I wanted to see much more hip action (especially in his forward check) and he also was stiff in places. Rumba is about continuous hip action and continuous movement of the body that never stops for a second. The romance was there, the interplay was there, the feel for the music was there, but the technicality wasn't all there. His cucaracha was stunning, but where was that hip action in the rest of the dance?! It had the potential to be much better (even though, overall, it was pretty impressive). My score: a 7

Strange that he's the only celebrity made to dance a Rumba this series. Almost as strange as Ranvir's endless string of ballroom routines. I think she's only done one out and out latin routine and that was poor. Her argentine tango was great but that's the most ballroom of the latin dances. She also did a jive but although technically a latin dance, it's stetching the definition to breaking point tbh. Though her jive wasn't great anyway.
