Please do more videos on net metering in regards to wholesale buyback. Who are the correct people to ask, & What are the key questions the public should be asking in order to be able to know how wholesale net metering works and how to calculate how much the public can expect to get back from their energy systems.

Missouri Wind and Solar has been instrumental in helping me with my DIY solar/wind system.
Anyone who tells you that YOU can't do it yourself or that Missouri Wind and Solar won't be there for you every step of the way is not being honest.
    They have been GREAT!

My system provides power to use: one 240v pump to pump well water into my cisterns, another 240v pump to deliver water throughout my property, my 120v rv hookup, my 120v apartment, and more. I can even run a small 120v welder on my solar/wind system.
I don't understand why yours can't power a well pump.

It takes 8 years to get back $500? Sounds like a waste of time and money to me.

I think you should watch it again. He said, "You can get started for.... about $500."
He went on to say that wouldn't be the most efficient (paraphrasing) and that the average time to "pay for itself" would be "...somewhere around eight years..." to pay-off your investment.
Eight years is not very long to "pay-off" a major investment, such as electrical power - in my opinion. A typical home mortgage is around thirty years. Imagine having 22+ years with little or no electricity bill while you pay-off your mortgage.

To clarify, if you spent $100, it would take you about 8 years to get it back. If you spent $40,0000, it would take 8 years for you to get it back. The time is relatively fixed - it is the amount of energy produced based on the size of the equipment ($s) that is flexible.

It's only a waste if you like having bills. I do not like having bills and subsequently have few. Owning your own power means it's yours to fix if it breaks. it also means you aren't being upcharged monthly for it. It's the same old argument (buy or rent) both have pros and cons. I'm just glad everyone is free to make their own choices on the matter.
