Chelsea fan here. Loved watching Ipswich this year ( kept watching because of Omari Hutchinson) and to spend what they've spent, to achieve what they've achieved, is a dream. Proper club. Can't wait to see them in the Prem! Bobby Robson would be proud 👏
Omari is a sensation
He came to ipswich as a boy and leaves as a man
Hope he continues to improve and not spend his next 6 months on the bench .

Omari has been a dream mate, since I was a kid the one loan player every looks back too for lighting up Portman Road was always Giovanni Dos Santos, but now it will be Omari and whether he comes back or never wears a town shirt again, a whole generation of kids will talk about just how good that loan player Omari Hutchinson we had was.
Big game player, going to have a big career for sure
As Craig insinuated, Omari when he first came to us, although undoubtably talented, was not that great. Not bad, but not great. His development this season has been steady and sustained, not only is this a testament to the ITFC coaching staff, but the attitude Omari himself. I know they say don't fall in love with a loan player but.......bugger me, it's hard not to in his case.
He's become a fantastic player as the season progressed for all of us to see.. If the rumours are true that Chelsea need a few quid to balance the books, I would have him back here in a heartbeat on a permanent deal.
Also, If Chelsea have other young talents that need a bit of KMc coaching, feel free to send them our way.
We would love to have him back on loan next season, continue growing under McKenna and get plenty of premiership minutes.
However, aware he will have lots of suitors. Wherever he goes, he leaves us with us all wishing him well and he will get a warm reception if he plays against us.

Growing up on the Shotley Peninsula in Suffolk Finbow was one of many Suffolk names I used to hear my parents and relations drop in conversation (Gooch was another). So there's a certain symmetry to Craig and his Ipswich podcast. Good stuff.

Up the town! I was lucky enough to see the last promotion 22 years ago at Wembley so this is reliving it again! What a achievement and we’re only the fourth team in history to be promoted to premiership in two years is total madness 💙

Yes do yourself a favour and stay at Ipswich for a few years don’t jump ship and ruin your career like so many others have done
It’s completely wrong to say Ipswich is not a hotbed of football. From a population of 150000 we get near 30000 in Portman Road. It’s like the whole town goes. One illustration of the depth of support: a couple of months ago l sat next to a family of Muslims. How many grounds do you think that happens in? This is a club that has won the two highest domestic competitions, won a European title, produced two England managers ( one who won the World Cup, the other got to the SF) and a captain of the team, was the first to abandon the old W formation and pioneered the introduction of foreign players. How many supporters can say their team beat Real Madrid? We remain the only team to have won the highest league in their first ever season in it. When we won the FA Cup in 78 people decorated their houses in blue and white ( I estimated 1 in 5). The police station had a giant inflatable policeman with a blue and white scarf on the roof. After the game the police drove around giving people lifts home. People in Ipswich live and breathe for their football club. Unless you live there you have no idea how important it is to everyone in the town. We are the club.

@@MarlboroughBlenheim1 Compared with 2.3 million in West Yorkshire. As someone who has not lived in Ipswich since 1976 and has been to many grounds you notice there are a lot more women, children and minorities at Portman Road. There are also a lot more posh people. In other words it’s a ground where many more people feel welcome than other grounds.

This time last season it was all about Kompany been the best up and coming manager. The same is now been said about McKenna. Its the PL and it is ruthless and Ipswich and McKenna will be in the same position next May as Burnley and Kompany are now heading for relegation.

McKenna is a lot smarter than Kompany and will stay loyal to the players that got him up, he won’t replace his whole team.
Guarantee next season will start with Burns, Morsy, Luongo, Davis, Hladky, Burgess, Chaplin and Hirst in the starting 11 at a minimum.
