I have always enjoyed your announcing and knowledge of the sport and it's people. We will miss you Alan!
Thank you Alan. Thanks for the memories and amazing announcer
I’m saddened and devastated by this news. Thank you Alan for 30 years of Memories and loyalty to the NHRA Community ♥️
Truly a sad day for the race community loosing a legend in announcing 😢!!!
Loosing? Loosening? The oposite of tightening?
Thank you for being a great announcer.
Attention in the pits ! Thank you Alan and the best of luck with your new adventure.
NHRA will not be the same without Alan on the microphone. Bob Frey retired and then let Lewis Bloom go and we lost Bob Unkefer in April 2022. The NHRA should have paid Alan whatever he wanted for a salary. I really think that's why Alan was missing in action last summer for a few races because of his contract. NHRA you just shot yourself in the foot!!!! IHRA has Alan now and hopefully this will haunt the NHRA.
I'm really bummed right now . Thanks for all the good times. We'll be watching for where ever you land ! GOOD LUCK !!
You will be dearly missed Alan! Best of luck to you!
Thank you Alan, the track won’t be the same without you and your voice! Wish you well! Yes it hurts and keep moving forward.
Alan is the GOAT! Thanks for all you have done for NHRA. It won’t be the same without you calling the races!
What a sad day for the NHRA and especially sportsman Drag Racing. I'm sure the NHRA will bring in some slick clueless "personality" to replace a guy who knows Drag Racing from top to bottom. Take care Alan and as a long time fan of Drag Racing I wish you the best.
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,this leaves a major void for me,,,,,,,,,,,,,THANKFULLY i HAVE FOUND GREAT PEOPLE RACERS ; IN THE DRAG AND DRIVE EVENTS,,,,,,,,,,,sickweek and more to come,,,,,IT IS THE FUTURE OF COMPETITIVE DRAG RACING,,,,,,,,screw big corporate money,,,,,,,,drag racing was the arena for the backyard wrench,,,,,,,,,,,NOT THE MEGA MILLIONAIRE THAT COULD PLAY IN IT.........Money just ups the anti......THIS AINT VEGAS...........
There is one person I PRAY will NOT be his replacement. If he is, I will not renew NHRA TV!
Cleetus is half owner of Bradenton , so that would be a great place to announce,!!! BigAl California thanks
Sad to See You Go Alan!
Thank You for Your Time in the Tower!
NHRA , needs to step up and keep him on , NHRA not a smart move, there is negotiation in time to negotiate a compromise, ok , lettttts goooo people,BigAl California thanks
It’s been a pleasure Alan God bless you. Good luck in the future endeavors. You had the most distinctive voice and all the motorsports. I know it’s you before I even see you. God bless you, sir. Thank you
I always enjoyed leaving .TV on all day at work, just having the announcing on in the background. Alan's voice is one of those voices you can just listen to all day. To me, he is on the same level as Steve Evans and Big Mac, simply one of the best. It takes time for a personality to become so ingrained, and Alan certainly cemented his legacy as one of the best.
I'm sure Jason or Brian will train my ears to their cadence eventually, but DANG, sure gonna miss Alan's "'isms". Best of luck in everything you do man.
OH! Who the heck gonna answer the announcer@... now? I got questions!!!
Like Buster Couch and Rick Stewart, Alan is a part of the NHRA. Far better at calling a race than most anyone behind the microphone. I’ll miss him while in the stands in Pomona.
Would like to know if anybody has an answer as to why spectators are disappearing from Pomona ? 1000 foot? Same cars? Cookie cutter cars? Short fields? Anybody?
I knew something was up last year.. him being at the top end doing interviews and not in the tower.
I also thought that Alan wasn't at a few of the races last year there was something going down. If I had to guess it's over contract and $$ and the nhra should pay him to return.
Hostile workplace in the tower?
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,BOXING BACK IN DA DAY,,,,,COULD NEVER REPLACE,,,,,THE GREAT VOICE OF HOWARD COSELL,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,screw new stuff,,,,,,to say it weak......
Alan, I am going to truly miss hearing your beautiful voice calling NHRA Drag Racing. I wish you nothing but happiness, health, peace, and success in whatever and whenever you future endeavors take you and I hope we all get to hear see you call a few races here and there in the future. Good luck and Good Journey
I met Alan once when I delivered a 572 55 Chevy to his home in Asheville for headers and pipes. Super nice dude
To say I am disappointed is an understatement. Hearing Alan doing the announcing on when I am at the track or on nhratv has been significant part of the drag racing experience for a long time for me. Gonna miss his calling the early morning stock eliminator 1st rounds for sure.
Hope Alan will continue with WFO
“Attention in the pits” I will certainly miss hearing those words at the track, along with so many others. Thank you Alan. And hope to hear you at a drag strip again soon.
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,absolutely,,,,,,,,,alan started many catch - phrases and always kept us involved........
Miss you already
We will really miss you Alan, you were up there with Steve Evans, Dave Mac. God bless you and we wish you the very best.
So glad you’re coming to IHRA!!
Will miss you on NHRA TV, all the best Alan.🇦🇺
Your sense of humor will be sorely missed. Best wishes to you.
Thank you, it was an honor to work with him.
I FOUND DRAG RACING IN 1989. I DONT KNOW THIS WITH OUT ALAN ! 🏁💪🙏
Sad to see you go Alan, you are the best announcer in the nhra
Best of luck to you Mr Announcer Guy! You will be missed
Good luck, Allen! It has been a great ride and I've enjoyed all the NHRA announcers.
Alan you will be greatly missed. You are "THE VOICE OF NHRA" and always will be for me. I have attended multiple NHRA events and always went to Nitro School just so I could get a chance to speak to you personally. It's hard to believe, that you even answer your emails in record time. To me you and your voice and knowledge of the sport cannot ever be replaced. Shame on NHRA for not renewing your contract. I don't think I will renew my subscription to NHRA TV. We didn't get a vote on this - but we can vote with our $s. I pray you will get back in to NHRA in some capacity. We need your wit, we need your knowledge, and we need your great voice back where it belongs. Good luck to you in your future, and just know - that we the fans thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the early mornings, late nights, plane rides, and all the trouble you went through in 30 years to educate, entertain, and most importantly, give us all a piece of your heart and love for this great sport. God Bless !!
All the best Alan in your new adventures. SC 560
This is B.S. Alan is the best of the best. No wonder NHRA is losing its fan base at a record pace. They care more about their paychecks than the people who make my race day experience.
Alan congratulations on your new job with the IHRA.
Alan for me you R the voice of NHRA sportsman racing PERIOD ! you will sadly be missed I can't imagine who the replacement will be ? NHRA NEEDS TO FIX THERE SHOW concentrate on fielding 16 cars for the entire season obviously this doesn't help anything or anyone !
Sad day, thanks for all the good times. Enjoyed listening to you for many years.
where are we going to find another voice like Alans. Good luck
The voice of NHRA. You will be missed. Especially the nitro school times before the races.
NHRA has been going down for years! I was a diehard NHRA fan that went to multiple races every year but the last 2 years I have not watched or attended. They cater to the big owners and screw over the small teams. Alan Reinhart was dedicated for years and a huge part of the NHRA. Wish nothing but the best for him and will be waiting to buy my IHRA tickets and support that group. This will make IHRA so much better with Alan Reinhart.
Nhra will not be able to replace you, it is their loss. I am extremely disappointed!
Best to you for the future. You show great class. I know we'll see you again.
Joe seems upset. He must really look up to you,Allan. You’ve been one of the pillars of Nhra broadcasts for years.Good luck in your future endeavors. Thanks
Alan, you will be missed.
As announcers go, you went to…the…TOP!
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,lucky for us fans,,,,,,He will always be around with friends like Joe and WFO.................................
This was obvious the first time he came out of the tower last season! They were doing interviews for his replacement! I sent him a text message telling him I knew why he was out of the tower. Now we just have to HOPE they don't choose the WRONG person! Alan will be hard to replace.
Did a great job. Much appreciated. Thanks
YOU will be MISSED, SIR !! GOOD LUCK in your next endeavours
WOW...!..enjoyed u announcing the stock class's live @ the track...!...!..always made me chuckle...great sence of humor..!..it wount "sound" like an NHRA event without u...IMO...!...thanks Alan...best of luck stay healthy...i think this is another mistake on NHRA's part ...!...!..just my oppion...!..also always like'd Mike Dunn's coverage on TV...!..
The greatest announcer of all time. Thank you. Allen you will be missed ❤
Yea I don't think NHRA thought that one through very well... Good luck in your future endeavors AR......❤
It sounds like the failed contract renewal was all about money.
To the NHRA or the IHRA, you should damn well better think about going back to quarter mile racing, not to mention a new drag strip in the place where it all started as it is going extinct in So.Cal.(take a look at the grandstands the last five plus years at Pomona) The sponsors are evaporating, short fields, etc. There has got to be some ideas out there. And referring to a new drag strip, meaning one with a god awful long shut down area and tires that can take it as otherwise drag racing in California seems to be disappearing. Sorry for the rant.
👏👏👏👏 Great comment
24 hours is all it took for Alan to land a great sounding new position with IHRA. NHRA’s loss ! Hope Alan and IHRA get going and succeed!
Bob Fry and now Alan Reinhart! Two of the very best! The NHRA is a meat grinder!
Holy 🤯 I did not have this on my silly season bingo card. Alan, thanks for everything and good luck. You WILL be missed 💯 💔
We're going to miss him too!
Sad to hear you are leaving, but all the best for future endeavors! All good things come to an end, that's life.
Alan you will be missed!!!!!
I can’t stand Tony Pedrigon ! Allen should have his place.
Sad to hear. Alan is a great announcer with a ton of knowledge. he will surely be missed by all. NHRA can't seem to get anything right lately. Starting to look like Nascar
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,greed breeds strange bedfellows,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Now , all but a handfull is left to the nhra organization,,,,,,,,,,When the long time greats like John Force and Tim wilkerson,,,,,,Jim Head,,,,,,,bob tasca,,,,,,are gone,,,,,whats left,,,,,,,racers children,,,,,,,I'm 74,,,,,,,kids don't rock my boat...............I'm an old diesel mechanic machinist,,,,,,,,,,In 45 years , ya so-called kid ; may be qualified to discuss mechanics with me...................................screw the new,,,,,,,,,my memories are like yesterday,,,MY ERA WAS THE BEST,,,CAUSE i'M ALIVE TO SAY THAT.......,,,go blind with dem little cell phones..........HA....,
Aha! He was a contractor. The old non-employee trick. Contract expires, no agreement to renew and he’s gone.
I heard this guy at 1992 nationals in southern nationals in Atlanta good man
Congrats and Good Luck Allen.
Feels like loosing an old friend!
Best wishes for you, I hope this doesn't mean that we will be subjected to more Pedregon.
He would be welcomed with open arms at Santa Pod Raceway here in the UK if he wants to visit I'm sure.
It’s not about money. NHRA sat Alan in the corner during the season, while still under contract.
It won’t be the same without you 😔
Voice of P.R.O. Flo Championship next year? Looks like he's joining the rake based on pic.
A sad day, I understand sir. ALWAYS the wheeeee when one did a good wheelstand!
nhra you have fucked up BIG TUME.
Another nail in the NHRA coffin.
No one says Doink like Rhinehart.
THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU.
30 years, Your The Voice Man! The sport and fans won't let you go. Your that white haired dude in Lord of the Rings! 🙏🏼😎 👑
The NHRA school with you will be missed.
The voice of NHRA , cut back on the president's salary of NHRA & keep the man we enjoy listening to !!
Alan Reinhart the mo-par behind you( the yellow and black thing with the 6 pack hood) would you race that???
Hate to see you leave, i'm sure the travel caught up with you. NHRA would not pay what you were worth. I have been there, and done that.
Great Loss to the Sport ! ( imo ) But Thanx Alan for what you have givin & Best of Luck in the Future !
NHRA lose! Someone else’s gain!
Attention in the pits! Attention in the pits! Say it ain't so, Alan!
..............................................AMEN,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Was it his doing or nhra
My guess by the tone of his voice, it was not his call. I don't see him being the type of guy that would retire from what he loves so much, because he needed a change.
@@jdfan43 ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,WELL STATED......................
Be a very sad time at Boulder Tap House after B.I.R.
Will definitely miss the cool kids comments lol
Leave it to the NHRA to royally screw up and they did with this. Alan going to the IHRA is a big loss for em and us as fans.
Great loss!
SAY IT AIN'T SO ALAN...
What a shame , so much knowledge lost , what is the NHRA thinking?????
iHRA WINS!!!
No more nitro school.
Wait... No more Kablooey!!! Nooooo!!!!
Always about money to bad every one these days believes they need more money .
Not going to miss him.
He should try and become a crew cheif with all his knowledge
THANK YOU ALLEN. DON'T BE A STRANGER AT THE RACES ... IS YOUR HOME ..... 😃 ❤️😃❤️
Ne knows more about nhra it's more of a tv show now real racing
