@@mikesosa1146 Conn-Selmer still makes all but some student models in the US. There's also BAC (who got much of the Kanstul tooling), Getzen, Shires, Edwards, M&W, Patterson, Atkinson, and others. Just nothing in Anaheim anymore, but Atkinson is in Burbank which is just up the 5.
@@Finetales Thanks so much for all this info. I was aware of several of them but was not aware of that many brass manufacturers in the USA. THANKS!!!! My sadness comes from no more Bass Trumpets made in USA (I think). I am not sure if Bach makes their Bass Trumpet in the USA. I wonder what did Kanstul do with their stock, esp BTs? I only have one kanstul BT. I better treat it with kid gloves. Thanks again.
I use marching instruments for playing in jazz, R&R and salsa bands. Not only do I use the Kanstul bass trumpet but also the marching trombone and marching baritone. They look cool in Jazz, R&R and salsa bands.
trust me, once you get used to playing euph, a baritone feels like a trumpet. seriously, my school has 7 JP(and 4 spare Yamaha) euphs, and they're a blast to play!
@@WheelinWeenie oh you know what...you're actually right!! BUT you have to excuse him since he doesnt play euphonium. He could literally play the same fingerings as trumpet but I think he thought he needs to transpose down
Wow I never heard a guy say "my father designed marching band instruments" that's crazy that my whole time is thanks to this one guy.. thanks👍
it’s a shame kanstul went out of business, would’ve loved to own one of these euphoniums in silver
Enzo Calderon aye, I was actually looking to buy one of their G soprano bugles and had no clue they were out of business until a few days ago
@@Lazarus2112 BAC got a lot of the Kanstul tooling. Might be possible to get them to build you something with it.
Bummer. It is sad and a shame. I love Kanstul Instruments. Now who makes brass instruments in the USA?

On the other hand, the King K-80 euph was a bell-heavy beast ...glad I played soprano!
even I don't call them sopranos any more... but I guess you BD guys have earned the right to call them anything you want...
wow he is pretty good for not being a euphonium player
hes probably played other brass instruments like trumpet, so its easier to use something like euph
@Joel Hezekiah 👎🏿

Right 🤣

Lovely video ;-)
I played one for 3 of my 4 years in marching band, while in high school.
Awesome ❤❤❤
3 valve, non-compensating only?
There’s no point in making a four valve compensating marching euph.
a setup like that would weigh probably 8.5-9.5 pounds!
Niceeeee lovely I play baritone 💯❤️❤️
that second suite solo was in the wrong key
That was the exactly the right key!! You are a troll
@@mambojazz1 nah, he played it in Eb i believe, while the original is in F

That’s so cool I actually play a euphonium 🤣
What's the weight?
redboter about 35 tons. That’s how much weight it takes to balance the average baritone
@@zanebenziger5425 uh the baritone ways 34 tons....?
Can’t tell if Zane benziger and battleship217 are joking or it’s their culture but I’m fairly certain a ton is 2000lbs or 907.2 kgs
redboter yeah the last 3 people that replied are wrong, idk whats wrong with them. it weighs about 860 pounds.
this guy gets it ^^^
what’s this solo called
it is from Gustav Holst's Second Suite in F, Mvt. 1 "March"
Manda um euphonium para mim por favor, eu sou musico
I want one
