@@SarahandKeelanTravels But it’s all in one Place lol 😝, Our Canter 4x4 Truck did the Gibb in 1988 lol First of its kind in Australia 🇦🇺 Mitsubishi were testing two trucks for the Australian market and as you see plenty of-em on the roads now and as Fire Trucks they were a big success ! It just wasn’t ours at the time 🤪 would have rattled their teeth 🦷 out I’m sure hahaha

We did the Gibb River Road in June 2021, i cant believe how much water has dropped in all the gorges & waterfalls you visited....but still pretty. We took our time doing the walks and staying at places more than 1 night. Great video.😊
This was only a month or two after you guys did it!! Dosnt take long for it to dry out a fair bit
Aug 21 was when a friend and i did it too! Enjoyed it but the corregations at the Kununurra end were pretty harsh!
Had no dramas except the spare carrier on the camper broke a weld. 200 series and pop up camper.
If someone is going to do it I'd suggest to them to drop tyres to 20/22psi and keep it under 70kmh.
So now when I’m asked what my favourite movie I’ll know what to say. 😂. (Actually it’s a draw between this one and your Cape York movie). Also how about the memories of “is the Prado a Land Cruiser?”, and that time you hit 5k subs!!!! ❤️❤️❤️ and wow you’ve done a lot of Kms since then.

Nice guy’s, great ep . Fuel at Fraser Island is around $3.50/ltr atm, so $2.05/ltr is about the same as Brisbane presently, not bad for in the middle of nowhere. Safe travels

no wonder yous are exhausted, we did less than 100km a day on the Gibb.
Interested in your thoughts as to which was tougher - the GRR or the PDR? Percy & Keith coped beautifully with the PDR, and I know it was extremely heavily corrugated when you travelled. Loved this 'movie' of your travels across the Gibb; can't wait to do it ourselves. Cheers, Kerryn

I would have thought that 6:23 OTT would take first place regarding " the most dangerous road" in Australia. The Gibb is just a road , admittedly with some severe corrugations.
From doing them both in last couple years these are the main differences we noticed, The OTT and cape York (in general) isn’t remote compared to the Gibb, there are 6-7 towns, atleast 3 major towns up the cape. The Gibb has none. 40% of the cape has telephone reception. 99% of The Gibb has no telephone reception! there’s 6+ places to pick up water and food on the cape, the Gibb has 2, sometimes only one (mt Barnet) also we found the corrugations worse on the Gibb (roads change a lot with graders always operating on both the Gibb and the PDR so luck of the drawer)
With that being said, in our experience the Gibb is a far more remote and dangerous. It’s not just a road either, got heaps to do and see!! If you wanna go even more remote, turn off the Gibb onto Kalumburu road, which is a non gazetted road that dosnt get maintained! , goes to honey moon bay and Mitchell falls, no one will come tow ya car out if you break down there!!

Nice mate! We love our urban!! We ran 20 psi all round on the Gibb, low and slow we think (low pressures and slow speeds) I think we averaged 65kmh on the Gibb, just enough to get on top of the corrugations. Up Kalumburu road the corrugations were so big you had to go 15kmh for 6 hours
We have everything in our home state, so why go overseas, said an idiot
that now lives o/s. Wish I could have done the Gibb before I left.
How good would it have been to see the Mitchells in the wet?
Those chips had me slobbering, the chips here are ghastly as is most
of the food.
Sad to see Wyndham has taken the knock, was a great place, suppose
that is the fate of most non city places now banks and other services
are pulling out of small towns.

Why the old video ?
since we posted these old videos we have had a fair few people start watching our videos, we think it’s on of our best adventures in our first year of travel so I guess we are just proud of what we achieved. Not so proud of the video production quality but was a heck of an adventure
