This was excellent, I learn so much from your videos and I happen to love stitch in the ditch. Many thanks.
I always learn something from your great videos, Thank you for the tips too! Your sound was very good today as well.
Thank you, good tips.
Thanks so much! Great tips
Yeah, my stitch in the ditch isn't always in the ridge. I like the channel lock idea - I might try that. Thanks, guys!
Good Morning from Morgan Hill, CA 😊
Traditionally this was called crack stitching or sewing. I, too, leave my gears engaged when stitching horizontal and vertical lines especially for borders and around blocks. It helps to keeps the quilt square.
I love the ditch ruler, BUT, the last time my machine came back from its spa day I noticed the foot is a little “lite” on the one side and a little “heavy” on the other side of the foot. Any suggestions on how to get it back to right where the 1/4” is a true quarter on both the front and the back of the foot?
That is something that a tech would best be able to help you with. You can call the technical support team at Handi Quilter and they can let you know what you can do or if you need to have it looked at by a tech.
Could you please give some tips to quilt with minky backing? Thank you!

@@HandiQuilter Thank you! The video was very helpful! 😃
good tips....which brand markers do you use... I have used black or blue but other colors I don't have,,,,,(because when I use the black or blue colors its not a marker but pens)
Have a different brand long arm and not quite sure what you mean by “make sure your gears are engaged”. Please explain what that means.
It would be for computerized machines that use gears or belts to drive the machine head. If your machine is completely hand driven then you won’t have to worry. Hope that helps!
The Gears are part of the computerized system that you can add to a Handi Quilter machine.
