  • This wonderful succulent looks like a cute felt toy. Thanks to the soft but thick, silvery-white hair Kalanchoe eriophylla is a very unusual plant that is quite easy to care for and propagate.
The Snow White Panda is a small shrub native to Madagascar. It is a fantastic succulent for pots and, if you don't get many frosts, for the garden as well.
In this video we'll have a look at everything there is to know about Kalanchoe eriophylla including best growing position, watering, potting medium and temperature tolerance.
We'll also cover all different propagation methods (leaf, seed and cuttings), pests that attack it and toxicity.

In my experience when I was a beginner I did not do well with this one or any of the fuzzy kalanchoes when starting out because I didn’t give it enough light or the proper KIND of light. Growing indoors I had it originally under a warmer glowing grow light but have realized since then that they prefer white bright grow lights and can flourish under that lighting. I also underwatered at that time with the misconception as a beginner that succulents don’t need much water. So I lost most of them. But now I know that soil matters, the right kind of lighting matters and watering more frequent is key. You live and you learn right? But the panda is definitely one of my favorites and if I ever come across one locally to me in the spring I will snatch one back up for sure! 😊

Your setup must look amazing!👏👏💚 And completely agree- it's all a learning process. I've lost countless plants along the way too. A lot of the time the best way to learn with plants is by experience and trying things out yourself.

They'll come down in price soon enough 🙂 I've already seen them available as tissue culture which means loads can now be produced at a cheap price. Fingers crossed you'll be able to get one soon 😀🤞

In the Philippines this is only 2 to 3 U.S Dollar along with other varieties. There was a kalanchoe that was more expensive but after 2 to 3 years the price went down by 90% lol
