Downloaded the game this morning, I was having so much fun I didn’t stop playing it until the servers shut down for maintenance this afternoon. I could only do custom games but it really was refreshing playing something that felt new but nostalgic at the same time. This game is a solid 10/10 so far
The game has great movement, but to make it flawless they should add a climb mechanic. Sometimes I'm flowing through the map and I just barely miss the edge and my momentum is killed
@MigulGuy yeah I agree, the portals are where the complex movement to avoid your enemies and get the advantage on them. Sliding just doesn’t make sense to me

I rate the game 9.5/10 it's fast paced, it has mostly balanced guns and the portal mechanic is so fun to use. But I would like to see them add a sliding mechanic and also introduce a search and destroy game mode then it would be 10/10.

No, it's an arena shooter... not COD. The portal mechanic and jet packs is more than enough movement. The only thing that makes sense is maybe adding mantle so you can get to those ledges with your jet pack that are just out of reach. Adding slide would ruin it.
1:30 I actually had an idea while playing, what if you could place a portal on an enemy? Would they explode or implode? Would they become invulnerable? I also honestly love how the "Power Weapons" are literally any non-starting weapon minus the Battle Rifle and Sniper Rifle. Also the portal blur isn't harder to see through imo, it's still great though because you can instantly know which side of your portal you're on based on how watery everything looks. I LOVE the challenges giving me drops but also skins per weapon, it's fantastic, I just like earning shit in game and unlocking stuff using hard work and skill, it's sorely lacking in gaming today outside of it just being "Haha here's a lootbox, loser" or "You get this by time investment only" or "This is a looter game and I'm gonna throw a nebula of items at you" Personally I want more in this game, of that. Also my favorite glitch only happens on Stadium nowadays where parts of the level, including much of the floors don't load, so when you step onto the missing floor, you kinda sink into the floor but get recorrected ontop of the floor... but then you fall again, etc. You kinda just jimmy on the floor until you fall out of the map, or use the jetpack... But then the walls don't load, like walls that you're normally not supposed to shoot through... And you can literally kill people by shooting through these walls that don't exist for you, but for others they do.

I found out about this game through a random UA-cam ad just a few weeks before buying a PS4. Here I am, having owned it for two weeks finally getting around to playing this and it is FIIIIRRRRRE!!! 10/10,b dude, this is the only shooter that I've never felt I could get backed into a corner because that corner portals me out of harms way. The mobility is phenomenal, the graphics are gorgeous, the stages are beautifully designed, and it controls as smooth as silk; I'm on a controller and somehow hitting quick scopes like I'm on PC. A downright fantastic job teseh guys have done with this game: it reminds me of couch party style games of 007 with my sisters and dad and I love it..
when the stars align and I actually get into a server, this game is the most virtual fun I've had in a hot second, can't wait for the servers to grow and play with friends

I’ve been playing only Halo for 5 months straight now and this game is really refreshing, especially since I get to use my m&k (I play controller on Halo). The core gameplay of Halo is deeply rooted within Splitgate, but the satisfaction and fun I have with portals is significantly higher now. Until now, there were no other FPS games I enjoyed. So being able to play this game feels like a breath of fresh air.

As someone who just picked the game back up. The game improved so well! It really pays off to try to give it another shot. The ONLY problems I see is 1. my connection and 2. that it's quite repetitive if you don't switch to another game mode or speedruns. 2 tips to make it more fun: Convince friends to play SplitGate and improve your movement. The momentum you can build up is so underrated. Just bhop and place your portals the right way and you will zoom around the map like nobody else. I literaly see nobody else than me using that kind of movement. :) I promise the grind is going to pay off and the game makes a comeback in a few years when it launches.

I found out about this game through a random UA-cam ad just a few weeks before buying a PS4. Here I am, having owned it for two weeks finally getting around to playing this and it is FIIIIRRRRRE!!!
10/10,b dude, this is the only shooter that I've never felt I could get backed into a corner because that corner portals me out of harms way. The mobility is phenomenal, the graphics are gorgeous, the stages are beautifully designed, and it controls as smooth as silk; I'm on a controller and somehow hitting quick scopes like I'm on PC.
A downright fantastic job teseh guys have done with this game: it reminds me of couch party style games of 007 with my sisters and dad and I love it..
when the stars align and I actually get into a server, this game is the most virtual fun I've had in a hot second, can't wait for the servers to grow and play with friends

Tried this game for the first time and i love it. I’ve always had PlayStation’s throughout my life and an OG Xbox, this game literally takes me back to those days
The first time I played splitgate it instantly became my favorite. I haven't seen any bugs mentioned In this video but I have had some lag but not a lot

I’ve been playing only Halo for 5 months straight now and this game is really refreshing, especially since I get to use my m&k (I play controller on Halo). The core gameplay of Halo is deeply rooted within Splitgate, but the satisfaction and fun I have with portals is significantly higher now. Until now, there were no other FPS games I enjoyed. So being able to play this game feels like a breath of fresh air.
I would give it a 7/10 but once they fix the issues I'll get it in 9/10

As someone who just picked the game back up. The game improved so well! It really pays off to try to give it another shot.
The ONLY problems I see is 1. my connection and 2. that it's quite repetitive if you don't switch to another game mode or speedruns.
2 tips to make it more fun: Convince friends to play SplitGate and improve your movement.
The momentum you can build up is so underrated.
Just bhop and place your portals the right way and you will zoom around the map like nobody else.
I literaly see nobody else than me using that kind of movement. :)
I promise the grind is going to pay off and the game makes a comeback in a few years when it launches.
