      Thanks mate. I managed 12 laps this year after three years of being away from the nurburgring. By the way Alex Hardt lap was for long time the reference for our little 130i.
      My car at the moment is much more tracktool/ringtool in depth than Alex's 130i so it's really unfair to do a comparison between.
      From my perspective there is still room to improve and it's all about getting confidence with the track and have confidence in some really fast spots where I prefer to avoid any kind of risks.
      At the moment the fastest 130i around the ring is Arne Michel with a stunning 7.43 and a 7.42 not present on the tube.
      In the end it's hard to find the limit of car or what the car can achieve with the right amount of risk, the right day with the best Temps for tyres, brakes and engine performance and the right trafic jam. My car, imho can lap below 7.40. Possibly 7.3x mid-high it could be the best laptime considering the best case of the previous factors on the same components and weight. With less weight and better components it can be 7.3x low but you need big balls to send it properly.
      Enjoy your 130i and if you have the chance visit the nurburgring if you didn't already. At least one time!

      Hey man, I used chatgpt for the translation as I speak a bit Deutsch but not often. In any case I agree with you, the plan is to buy a new set of wheels (protrack 9x17 ET35/38) and a new fresh set of Direzza. Also I'm trying to save more weights with lighter hood (-10/15 kg?) and I'll install a lighter battery as well. Also thinking about a lighter flywheel to save some kg especially on unsprung mass.
      Goal is to reach 1300kg with 1/4 fuel tank and driver (75 kg). 40 kg less and better grip overall I agree with you that 7:3x is possible. Already know with a better knowledge of the track 7:3x is already there but needs more risks and I have to bring the car back at home : )

    Little question - how livable is it with solid subframe and diff bushings?

    • @skynzilla
      @skynzilla  10 місяців тому +1

      It depends on how bad/good are the roads where you are use to drive the car and what are you looking for from your car. I mean I went with uniball and solid bushings because it's the best mod to improve the car on track but I'm not using the car daily or in the city center. I lost all the comfort that the car had out of the factory but I don't mind because I'm not looking for it. As I said think about the purpose of the car and find the best compromise. Probably if you don't want to lose all the comfort in terms of nvh go with poly bushings

  • @anticlub1982

    Just a question, why didn't you go with a E82 135i?

    • @skynzilla
      @skynzilla  10 місяців тому +7

      Honestly when I bought this car I didn't know about all the bmw models available on the market and I wasn't even aiming for powerful cars as when I bought this 130i I was 18 and this was my first car and it was already too much expensive for my pocket. When I start to go on track back to 2015/16 I wasn't expecting to end up with all the mods that I went through until today and I wasn't aiming to have a proper tracktool. Also why I didn't switch from 130i to 135i through this years is because I love NA cars more than turbo and also because in Italy is way too expensive to maintain already the 130i which is 265hp and my salary it's around 1400/1500 per month as I'm a simple employee. For example this month I had to pay two taxes that you must pay every year for every single vehicle that you own and I payed almost 700€ for the 130i which is sitting in the garage since November 2022 and I won't use it this year due of issues job related and lack of time. Now imagine having a 135i that costs you (in Italy) only thousand euro per year sitting in the garage.
      I find for my current pocket the 130i already on the limit as 2nd car and my current daily is a 2005 Toyota aygo, payed 400€ and before this one my daily was a 2002 Ford fusion. So it will be hard to have something more than 130i and after the latest mods that I did on the car I don't feel any reason to change it. I love it, it's my first car, it will probably die with me and there is still a lot of things to improve before upgrade to a better performance car or think about the "lack" of performance that the car has. Thanks for your answer
