There's a few things i don't like about it like the saving system, no automation recording for the drum part and a few missing destinations for the lfo's. But other than that it's a fun machine.
The perkons hd-01 is my favourite drum machine in my collection, I just wish it had an input through the FX and compression. I think mark 2 will be fantastic. I have an octatrack and I hate it, had it since it came out and have used it fir sound design so it's paid for itself but the menu diving is total balls. Love your videos and keep chatting to us about your input/output. X
@@Kablehead Yes you are correct, Octatrack is awesome but... It doesn't inspire my workflow or get my creative juices flowing. The PULSAR 23 on the other hand... holy shit, it's like learning a proper instrument and when you strip it and rebuild a patch new things start happening all the time.
Yes, i really like it but i just sent it back. Similar situation to the Perkons. The high price makes me think too much about the usability for my musical output. It's a tricky one for me. If i had more money i would have kept both of them for sure.
Wonder what you ll do with the pulsar. I think the sequencer is prehistoric. Just got a modor dr2 from a guy that was selling a pulsar and the perkons too… but not selling the pulsar yet 😅
@Kablehead The modor reminds me of tr909. But you have a filter on each sound, faders that do more then fade the sound, compressor, distortion, and you can tweak each step on the sequencer. I did not read the manual and already fan a LOT of fun (not gonna happen with the pulsar) and it is calling me atm to have a play instead of watching yt but i m tired. So far: it s cool. I might do a video. It also has some crazy sounds that make me think of the donky jaw bone. I had a rytm once and it was waaaayyyy to complicated. I don t do menus. I dont scroll browsers for sounds. That is work not play. Seems like modor and me might become real friends.
I love the Roland sh-4d jdxi looks fun I should try it

It has a particular sound like model cycles or lxr

Thank you! It's one of the greatest drum machines ever imo. MK2? Oh yeah, that will be crazy...

@@KeithDuncanSound I meant the Perkons as one of the greatest drum machines ever. :) The OT is cool too but not the greatest drum machine imo.
By the way the pulsar 23 made me love making music again. You will fekin love it;

I thought about the Modor for a bit too. How do you like it so far?

@@klinkske Sounds pretty good. I might give it a try some time. The UI looks definitely cool and fun to use.
The perkons is a desert island machine for me. I feel like I could do live sets with it alone.
Yeah, that's definitely possible. Awesome machine.
I've been saving up to buy a Perkons, partly inspired by your videos! I don't think your discussion here is going to change my mind...hmmn 🤔
And it shouldn't. The Perkons is freaking amazing. This is just my very personal opinion based on my musical journey at the moment.
