...Looked like the Healers let him die on-purpose ? ...I mean, it looked like the Healers were putting "on a show" to make it appear like they were doing their job, but it looked like they only gave him PW Shield & HoTs only ??? ...Whereas, with the _other_ Tank, it appeared that his character constantly lite-up with the healing animations.
The last clip when the group came back on the elevator to save the guy gave me Avengers Assemble vibes

Loola actually played that well, those elementals are nature immune so earth shock/earthbind do nothing, and they did drop Stoneclaw at the start (probably also immune though?) Should have war stomped at the start but any later it would have extended the leash and RIP.

The biggest problem with hardcore players is that they don't take their life seriously. They should pretty much be roleplaying as frodo who just left the shore(edit- shire rather)and everything is dangerous. Calculate every mob encounter as if you were thinking about fighting the mob in real life. I have no sympathy for someone with autowalk on while alt tabbing that gets killed by a guard. I wouldn't be running down the road in real life with my eyes closed while trying to figure something out

@@jannicretterath-xr7yg Fortunately to get to 60, you don't need to do instance content with classic players that back peddle and click their spells, everyone good at the game is 60 already, the people leveling now are 5 time rerollers, you know they click every button and lick their monitors.

I watched that Herod clip multiple times. I still don't understand how all of that happened. Was the guy griefing? Did literally no one know how to play yet somehow formed a group to Armory? Was everyone drunk?
Herod has two mechanics. He's....not exactly a huge hurdle. I don't understand.
Nobody did anything on purpose (griefing). The warlock just paniced and instead of doing damage he was just running around in circles until he decided to heartstone out. What actually happened was that shaman totems pulled four elite Myrmadon guards that appear outside the boss arena when you pull Herod.
My guess is, that all or most of them are new to the game.
Their voices are fairly young.
That one was actually hard to watch.. esp as a German. Oh the embarassment ^^
The guy had default keybinds and was clicking, he's very much a new player (probably the whole group)

They were at the last boss, every other player had a chance to realize the Demo was a " noob/ new player" and reconsider continuing the dungeon. What test you want to install to make sure you will never die in HC because of someone 's fault ? ...

The tank finally died from 3568 damage twice. The tank withstood two consecutive crushes, a very low chance.😂😂😂
Can you comment on the *_Off-Tank_* having 14k HP, but the *_Main Tank_* only has 10k HP ?
...Also, was the *_MT_* *_Fury_* spec instead of *_Prot_* spec ??? ...is that a factor at all ???

Warrior dying 14:04 was because his last stand fell off so he lost the bonus hp
also because the healer decided to refresh renew on him rather than doing a hardcast which may have saved him.
The constantly rooted sham did well, the totem for slow would be good but there's no need to do anything else like warstomp cuz of extended leash, it was mostly well done

The weapon buffs tell you he's DW'ing during the Nefarian fight.
That nefarion fight is a great example of why if I’m tanking and I’m playing a class that can use a shield, I’m using an F’ing shield. Yes it would be more challenging for maintaining threat, but if your dead your threat is zero anyway
if you want your dps to hit any sort of meaningful parses in classic, you basically have to tank without a shield and/or with leather pieces on, but 1st clears in hardcore probably isn't the place for that lol. I get it though, since good dps makes the fight 10x easier b/c healers arent going oom. If he weapon swapped a shield on as he was going to zerker stance to zerker rage the fear (you could do this w/ shields in vanilla), he prob wouldn't have died though.
If you wanna do pro gamer shit you have to go all the way with it lol, but tanking without a shield isn't really as ridiculous as it first seems (this is only if the tank is actually geared though, if not, you wouldn't be rage starved enough to justify it and will just die)
The alert for Robocerules said something about dying in pvp in BWL, might there have been any kind of mind control that happened that took him out maybe?
As someone who always plays warrior, seeing a warrior tank with no shield has me dying a little...

This whole Fury-Prot stuff was so stupid through classic. It was introduced by a guy who knew what he was doing (he outgeared the content he used it on) but was adapted by so many players who just thought tanking dual wield is great, not knowing anything about the math behind it (like basics of attack tables). The only encounter I remember where it shined was Vaelastrasz due to aggro problems. Anything else went perfectly with deep prot shield tanks.
Also: getting Warrior call on Nef and not instantly switching to a shield displays a lot of incompetence. While we did use some Fury-Prots, we forced them to switch to shield when they got a good amount of aggro. There is no reason to get from 200% to 300% while burning through your healers mana.

@@chrism2441way to show you have absolutely no clue, there are no good talents in deep prot, all the important ones are in the first 4 rows. You alway spec fury/prot to tank, more threat lets dps do more damage, so fights are shorter giving less chance for fuckups or healers going oom. You do need defensive gear though, a good tank knows when to put on more dps or more defense gear.
A deep prot warrior with defensive gear will lose aggro to wand dps.
@@heygek2769 Thats not true at all. The only way to this being correct is if you outgear the content you do (leading to rage starvation), which is pecisely what I stated before: The Fury Prot was introduced for exactly that scenario when you try doing speedruns.
Going into high tier content does hit hard, even if you are deep prot with defensive gear.
The question you have to ask yourself is: What do you expect of a tank? Do you need them to do like 200% agro of the highest DPS or do you need them to live for 5 seconds when shit hits the fan and a healer dies for some reason?
Also, WoW relies on not too hard to understand math. Yet, most fury prot warriors I encountered never understood even the slightest about hit tables and how it can fuck you over if you do not wear a shield and / or use shield block correctly.
The clip does show ecaxtly that. A fury prot warrior, going into berserker stance on warrior call, parryhasting the boss with dual wield attacks, eating crushings and crits.

This is the epiphany of the typical idiot that started tanking in classic, because dual wield was the meta. Just doing damage and nothing else. I am so happy to see so much time going down the drain.
I really don't understand duel-wield tanking in HC. Is it for extra threat, or is your epeen so desperate for big numbers that it outweighs any survival instinct? Even a green shield at that level is another 1,500 armor if nothing else.
The only reason I can think to duel-wield, is against ranged magic.
Don't know if anyone noticed but in these Hardcore videos when the music goes epic mode, it'll be a crazy video.

The Nef tank should have gone GSSP as soon as Nef dropped. Then went SnS, and Last Stand because it was warrior call. You're taking 50% more damage than you're used to, losing the 10% from D-stance, gaining 10% more damage taken from zerker and a further 30% from the call itself. Good on the second tank to be second threat, have shield ready and pop GSSP right away. He even ignored the call to go on the adds which is what you need your 2nd threat to do for this very reason.

@@OilFreeFeathers that's not correct. FProt is the competitive tank spec in Vanilla content because DProt does not generate enough threat beyond preraid content.

There is no reason to run fury-prot on HC. Just be more conservative with dps and threat, then you are fine. Fury-prot has too little effective hp.
BWL -> Tanking Nefarian without a shield during Warrior class call is 100% his fault. Especially at his gear level. Its far more important then the Stoneshield potion. Many Tanks have no clue what a shield really does aside from block chance&armor increase.
What else *does* it do?
@@PowerfulSkeleton It Pushes crit and curshing blow off the hit table of the boss, assuming you use shield block and have a 1/3 in Improved shield block talent. Crit and crushing blow do respectively 200% and 150% damage of a normal boss auto attack, so it is a sure way to remove big spikes of damage that can happen very quickly.
It allows you to use the skill "shield block" which increases your chances to block by 75% for two attacks (with a 5 second cooldown on the skill). The way the hit table works in wow means that a warrior with shield block up can never be critted or crushed unless the boss attacks faster than one attack every 2.5 seconds which is usually bosses with an enrage mechanic (chromaggus, huhuran, patchwerk, gluth, magmadar). This bozo wouldn't have died if he knew how to actually tank.

- you have a higher hit chance + lower attack speed -> less chance to get parry hasted by the enemy.
- Allows you to use shield block talent. This prevents Crits and crushing blows and also reduces the damage consitend during the fight.
- default block value already decreases the chance to get hit by Crits and crushing blows.
And yeah, on top of this you have the armor increase-> further damage reduction.
This guy wouldn't have died, if he used a shield. Because he wouln't get parry hasted two times in a row together with crits/crushing blows. The healers did their job right. So it was 100% his own fault.

Probably a dumb question but never played on HC. Do BGs like warsong be turned off in these servers? Or can you spam BGs without permadeath?
you can´t queu BGs but you can make premade ones (wargames) - you will still permadie in them though

Depends on your gear level, but generally speaking you want a stoneshield potion at the very least if/when a warrior class call happens.
Me neither. And to honest not equiping a shiled way more red flag than stoneshiled potion. The epic shild would give like 2.5k armor, enables blocking, enables using shiled block skill which overall reduce surviving chance way more than a stoneshiled potion.
Also I have no idea what is the point of tankinf with dual wielding? I don't think it increases dps that much that it worths it. Gear is still tanking gear means no crit chance etc. (if not even more red flag)
@@runo949 I'm talking from the memory of tanking Nefarian at the time of release. I suppose I already had all the tank stuff out of MC and the best out of all the dungeons, as did the healers, but I was never a big potion user.
I was probably a rank 1.5 tank, I hit a wall with the Bug Trio in AQ40, I just couldn't keep threat on those for some reason and I lost my raid spot.
Probably these Hardcorders are doing these raids way undergeared. But duel wielding a raid boss outside of defensive stance IN hardcore just sounds insane to me!
You guys are all talking like this is vanilla WoW. But this is "optimized" classic WoW, where you just stack a bunch of stamina and rely on flasks and world buffs.
Why go to all the trouble of getting to defense cap and using a shield when you can just fury tank stuff... and then get double critted in bezerker stance with a boss that has curse of recklessness on it and go back to Elwynn forest. It's fun!

Our tanks in HC Elite sometimes pop MRP and Reck and dual wield in Phase 3 on Nef but our gear is on a whole nother level. Play it safe brownbois, esp when you have an insane threat-lead already

I had to try the game because HC is fun. The amount of hard carries I do on a daily basis is annoying as hell. Wow players are so bad at their own game, I remember now why I stopped playing in 2008. They were bad then and are worse now.

If you die as a tank when you don't have a shield equipped it is one hundred percent your fault.
Just because streamers tank without shields, it doesn't mean that you can. Streamers have so many requests from healers that they get to be very picky which ones join them. The healers hard carry them so they can play whatever off meta or wonky build and they still blow through content.
