Question. I have seen newer reviews were some say the measured the health futures and noticed it is on par with apple and Samsung watch. Could it be that they have tweaked the software or do the newer version have other hardware?
Apologies for the delayed reply.. Did you buy a smartwatch? All 3 are good, with some minor shortfalls. I guess it all depends on your requirements and what you are willing to compromise. My personal preference is the Samsung GW 4, followed by the Apple Watch 7. However, out of the mentioned, if I had to choose, then probably the Amazfit GTR 3 Pro has been a popular choice.
@@bzqr2k yep, it's doesn't record skin/room temperature in background. While exercising you can keep the temperature app running in foreground, so that it measures the temperature!
Tested it around a week before, shot the video on the day the review was published. Yes, as mentioned in the video, the battery is decent, and especially when compared to some of top, flagship smartwatches.

Thank you so much. In my honest experience and opinion, I'd say the GW 4, for this and many other reasons, is a much better option. I am now wearing the GW. They only get better and better.
Well, I didn't get an opportunity to wear it during extreme / tough activities as such.. but I did wear it for a while, at the gym, whilst cooking and cleaning, surfing, and some climbing activities for example, and the screen is still as good as new. I'd say the screen is tough, and durable. I hope this helps. ☺️

Having the watch in wrist has motion detection. Meaning that every time you move your arm it will count as a step. When I look at what my watch collected in steps and then look at what the phone collected, it's usually off by a 1000 steps or more.
Can you make a detailed video of calling feature? Like normally I wear earbuds & they are connected to my phone, so when someone calls me and if I answer the call from my watch, so will the audio from the person calling me will come through the earbuds or the watch? And during an ongoing call do we have an option to change the audio from watch to phone and vice-versa, from the watch itself, or will i have to pull out my phone from the pocket to do so? And also let me know, is there a feature of battery saver mode and time only mode? Please let me know. Thanks.
The steps counted base on movement of your wrist not the steps taken, they assume as you walk you'll swing your arm, that's why it keeps calculating even though you are not actually walking
and how about the steps counted when I am not wearing it on my wrist, but had it placed next to me, on a desk? This may have changed since, with possible updates. I may revisit this.

I'm a bit lost since i need to upgrade my smartwatch, i have a samsung galaxy watch 3 and still not sure whether to upgrade to the 4 or to the amazfit GTR 3 pro. I'm sorry, correct me if I am wrong, I am not sure there are any other smartwatches, other than the Apple watch 6, 7, and the Fitbit flex which have support for wheelchair users. I def' will be sharing my video on the Apple watch 7 soon, and this feature in particular.

I believe I mentioned this in the video. I wore the watch for around a week, and compared to the reads from the Apple watch 6 and Samsung GW4. The accuracy of the heart rate, blood oxygen and step counter is not so great. However, sleep tracking seems somewhat accurate and not far off from the reads from my Apple watch 6, or the Samsung GW4.
I love the amazfit range, there a great alternative and I believe it's going to be one of the top dogs soon. Love the in-depth review, nice overview of the watch.
How can I lock the screen when I don't want to let the screen been changed by the water drops during taking shower? In my GTR2 is a feature to lock the screen (paddle symbol). In GTR3 pro I cannot find it. Do you know is there such functionality?

There have been some updates since I reviewed the watch. I do not wear the watch, as the Samsung GW4 is my daily driver. However, as you raised the question, I have revisited it, and tbh, although a decent and a very popular smartwatch, and much improved with updates, I personally prefer the GW4 and Apple 7 over it. This was something I was really considering. The hardware, screen and battery check all the boxes, it t just does not have the health monitoring features that the Samsung watch 4 has, plus some of the software issues sound disappointing. Terrific review thanks!
Well that was certainly an in depth review. As an owner of an Active 2, Classic 4 and Amazfit GTR2e, I would not entertain or ever recommend another Amazfit product. The software is unpolished at best and downright awful in places and known issues dont ever look they will be addressed. Even with the GTR 2e's awesome battery I would never take this on a long break for example where the Samsungs batteries will run out... just because the clunkynesss of the OS and lacking features make it unpleasant to use. Whilst the poor (2 day) battery of the Samsungs can be addressed using the Reverse wireless charging facility of my phone.
Correct the Amazfit keeps up with the polar Heart Rate Chest Strap within a 1% tollerance. What will you get that is better than a polar heart rate for accuracy.
Just becos she is comparing with another set of watches it doesnt mean those watches are correct. I have seen many videos of comparisons only to see that if you want to compare accuracy you do it against a Garmin watch and as for Heart rate etc you are best to compare against polar chest strap which is probably got the best accuracy in a mobile sports measurment device.
Samsung 4 for me has been ruled out. All reviews & reports give a battery life of between less than a day to just over. Unacceptable for that sort of money, so despite the features and how well they work (although these are not professional, so there is error that we need to be aware of) the Samsung is not even figuring! I would like NFC and wear os, but then I have Gear S3 and rarely use any features other than tracking my jogging or walking occasionally. Afterall, who really wants apps on a tiny watch screen when for the most part we will have our phone with us, apart from jogging say! 3Pro has had great reviews from the many I have read & watched. If Samsung had 7-10 days battery life, then I would opt for that, but it doesn't. We don't need all these redundant and rarely used features.
Waste watch... No all time on display available... If 30 sec set to keep display on then it turns off in 5 sec... Watch lags and gets struck badly when you connect mobile apps for notifications... Can't respond to messages... Native language fonts show as boxes in notification... Outdoor visibility is not that great for Summer days... Very limited watch faces....

I had the gt pro 2 and it doesn’t link to Strava and had many other issues so I changed to amazfit

The reason why I stay away from amazfit is because there sensors are not reliable. Has it changed?

If you compare the HR and GPS readings with galaxy watch 4 which is suboptimal to say at least, then you'll get the amazfit readings definitely off :)
