100% agree. I know loadouts are "in progress" but it's not just a QoL improvement, it's 100% necessary. I'm fed up with the PVE content and stopped doing mutators because managing different gear sets has become such a headache I rather just do PvP with the same build
This would be the best QoL change they could ever do. It would be super easy to find all the roles needed for expeditions, you could have different weapon loadouts for specific expeditions, have a dedicated PvP build, one character could have a build for each role, etc.
Nah! Tbh the changes made people actually Learn how to DODGE correctly and just NOT just be a GOD with the RAPIER. Love the changes since a Damn potato could turn God with a Rapier in Light armor. Now it actually takes SKILL.
imo they should add more armor pen to muskets when being closer to your target and nerf the base damage, hence u are encouraged to not snipe light and medium players from miles away but get into to the action and actually be a threat to heavy/medium bruisers
musket is destroying the game for now. People leaving oprs. also, they can change the environment and make it less open fielded... so people can dodge snipe situations.

@@bobshanery5152 yeah this is difficult to balance. but for now the slow after the light atack is tooo op. before that, the movement from lights was too op. i mean you take all movement with one ligth atack ( your slowed, your dodges are short, and in most situations the enemy has grit, so your abillities dont work and you cannot escape. imagin i would have 100% armor penetration after 1 light atack against heavy armors. i feel bad bcs i see with every change, that the developers have no idea whats going on in their own game.

I almost fainted seeing musket shots being able to be reloaded on the move. As for the nerf to musket range. i think they should just take that last 50% and divide it between 'Hit your mark' and 'sniper'. Just so that way nothing is lost but you have to full commit to left tree if you don't want to suffer.
The biggest nerf to rapier imo is adding a delay to a charged heavy attack after riposting, unnecessary and promotes more running away than being offensive

no you got it wrong on bow, it means when you shot without charged atk it will always on 0,15 size, but if u use charged shot it will always hit on 0.33
I thought I would pass on that this is not the case. The so called nerf with fall off damage is actually a decrease of approx. 40 damage. This is 50% to the damage fall off (not over all damage) . On live, the total damage decrease you get from not having ballistic advantage is 80. If you take into account that “hit your mark” now gives a guaranteed +15% damage at a range of 100m from target (not needing to headshot or crit), this will actually benefit and encourage musket players to always keep their distance and never fight close up. Iv seen a lot online how people have misinterpreted what the patch notes are saying and read as of though the musket damage is reducing by 50% after 50m. This is not what the patch notes say. :)
Yea, that’s what most people are assuming but this seems to be a misinterpretation on the patch notes. The patch notes say the following “Updated passive to no longer remove damage fall off entirely, but reduce damage fall off by 50% after 50m”. People are assuming this refers to all damage but it only refers to the damage fall off from having the passive. This total damage equates to about 80 damage with having a 5 con build. 50% of this is a total of 40 damage. So… I will get 40 less damage per shot which hits close to 3K… and then if I fight at 100m, I will get 15%extra damage now without having to hit a headshot or crit. This will encourage all musket players to fight at minimum 100m from their targets.

Dude, yesterday I could have sworn musket reload was a little faster than it had been. Glad they are making musket more viable, and versatile. I always use sticky bomb and play closer to the action with musket. Aggressive musket might actually be a thing now. 😁

I run the musket all the time, and i have to admit that the range change is much needed, was kind of nuts doing full damage at long range. being able to snipe at barely render range with full damage was to much. the fall off damage is good imo. as a person that has a musket in real life, i know what they can do at what ranges ;-)
While discussing the .33 vs .15 bow hit box, you made the comment twice, that it's a buff for "good" bow players. Having been main bow/spear since launch, how does a smaller hit box become a buff for a "good" player. Meanwhile mages will continue pumping out .33 hit box light attacks, which have no flight arch to compensate for.
rapier bow is just a run away class and I kill every greatsword/bow player if they use greatsword. Bow is for runners. In wars bows are not really great.
@@ItzTermx in defense wars one musket group is the best. In attack wars I dont see why bows are that important. On my server they didnz even let bows participate for a whole month. Now you see some in the hunter tram but they mostly underperform. Most wars are won by the bruisers. With no zerg the whole war is lost. Bows are like fire staff just dmg farmer if they dont hunt healers. And for healer hunting I think there are better options like hatchet, blunderbuss.... I have seen bb/wh player dropping 50+ kills in wars. Even 30+ kills in wars they lost. I have never seen a bow player dropping 50+ kills in the wars.
So basically they just taken away the only pros of a musket while kept all the negatives. I mean the only time I was able to defeate a decent bow player is when I was at long range, even in medium range I was outspammed and destroyed before my third shot. At this point what am I supposed to do? Now i cant keep the distance, I cant fight in close range because of the great musket scaling dont let me to have more than 50con as an absolute max, and if I continue to keep the range I will hit 500s-1000s/1,5sec into others? Because even now mediums rarely get more than 1,5k dmg/hit heavys are easily under 1k. If it will be as shit as it sounds then maybe this will be the time to quit the game.
This reminds me of the time my life staff got nerffed to the ground. Went from being able to survive a 3v1 barely to can't even win a 1v1. (Had all my points into focus)

I can answer this, Yes the falloff is a nerf but ONLY to a certain group of players. Within 50 meters with the new movement musket has can help it compete with bow or even IG / FS. So musket can be viable in everyday situations, not just on a mountain or from really far away.

Never played Bow with Arrow Ranged, never liked the increased hitbox buff either since I was already hitting before it, so this is a great change for all the newb BowPR spammers to go away so I can finally stat pad and ks alone :D Also, I really like how they are moving away from all the CC spam ranged weapons previously had, and are instead (slightly) buffing the ones from melee. This should really promote more the Rock/Paper/Scissors playstyle weve had in previous patches but quickly dissapears once a new meta combo is out.

What I dont understand is why musket and bow gets haste from dodging when GA gets only haste if you are really near enemys. A bow player 50m away is not catchable. Its stupid to run around the entire map for a bow player...
Dex degenerates are annoying and ruin good fights. I don’t mind dying in fights where we are both attacking and defending each other… that’s not what happens / rarely happens against bows and muskets but especially muskets. It’s objectively bad design and annoying!
Every bow player I have faught plays up close - mid range. They also use spear or rapier. As for musket I never see this happen (maybe sometimes) but light armor was designed in a way where if you make a mistake you die.
Honestly if you are dying to muskets you are either really badly geared or just cant position. All it take to counter them is to stand behind something, while a GA or hatchet player will stick to you no matter what are you doing.
@@inasatok There is no avoiding it sometimes, they just sit there and if you expose yourself they take a chunk of health, so everything in that direction is off limits in the best case scenario, worst case they somehow land every single shot and shoot you leaving spawn in OPR. War I have no issues with dex, please slot as many as you like.
I donno, when the game came out. Bow absolutely was trash. I donno how it is, Between that and all the bugs/exploits. I quit. Since I like being an Archer, but it felt like I was a target dummy for every melee player. I donno how much better bow is now. But if it hasnt had much change from the launch, then I can't say much. Game had major balance problems. Everyone needed to wear heavy and use CC melee weapons, mage or heal. I'd come back if i found out Bow is much better than it was at launch, i'd probably play again.
I've always used it, I remember coming back thinking they fixed the arrows. They felt like they actually connected when they should. Like the musket, I constantly see bullet trails going through enemies. Now it's going to happen with bow again. I might be quitting again.

Light armor feels really bad now. Cant let a melee touch you now or theyre on you like super glue. No chance to escape.

muskets are currently weak. they tickle anyone with more than 7k health in med and heavy armor. they're gutting it soon.

I hate the delay, makes it feel clunky. People say it's bad to have quick attacks, but I think GA swings faster with all its abilities.

Rapier was NEVER used to be offensive. Literally everybody uses it to RUNAWAY or tries to counter something.
I think the dmg drop off for musket would affect only physical but not elemental dmg for me as a musket user since day 1.
what about rapier life staff combo? what is the new meta build now at restart?

Fyi none of the charged shots or sticky bomb are normal movement speed. It's the reload walk speed, so everyone relax

your game is not fun. ppl coming back will just laugh when they take the skin and peel it back. no. it doesnt make you feel better.
the endless evade, hit detection. joke of a game. i just had 6v1 guy with rapier. i hit him with tether (slowing tether) he slowed right down to a crawl. switched to FS, burnout, still slowed. evaded, rolled, evaded, evaded, evaded, while 6 ppl on him. he runs off didnt take 1 hit.
