    Man you are GREAT! Because of you and your video I saved 250€!!! Thanks a lot! My cruise control didn't work (skoda octavia mkII) and after cleaning just worked! Amazing! Another big fan of yours!

      Hey, that's so great to hear! I hoped it will help at least couple of people to save some money and frustration about removing the whole wheel. Glad it helped you as well.
      P.S. It's been working in my car for about a year now, so looks like a good stable solution :-)

    My contacts were so black ,I cleaned them but that wasn’t the problem ,there was a broken blue wire which I soldered back together ,thanks to your video I fixed it though ,I’m really happy many thanks Mike 😃😃

      Hi Mike, great job fixing the issue. I'm glad you were able to identify that the blue wire was broken and repaired it. I'm happy that the video helped with the disassembly process. I was scared myself just to tear it apart - all the videos shown wheel removal method only. Martin

      @@flagrantYT yes, it did! You saved me a heap of travelling plus an unknown bill that I couldn't possibly have been able to verify if it was legitimate or not. Many, many thanks!

      @@maxkagi1297 Oh, that's so great to hear! That was the main reason why I did record the video - to help at least one guy. All the videos out there were suggesting to remove the steering wheel in order to remove and clean the lever. Since I tried this simple method, I wanted to share it and encourage to try it as well.
      I'm so so happy to save you some time and money. Take care!

    Great video, i had my Set button stuck and not operating for a loong time (VW Passat CC) and i was looking around for replacements or fixes, and removing airbag horrified me.
    I went on to try this fix, i got my plastic tools out, started going at it and I think my Control lever was so afraid I would actually succeed in opening it, and the button jumped out and works flawlessly now :D
    Either way, great guide and if i wanted, couldve fixed it your way, love it! Kudos

    What do you use for cleaning?

    • @flagrantYT
      @flagrantYT  2 роки тому +1

      I would suggest that any contact cleaning spray will do the work. I think I used WD-40, but probably there are better solutions for this job. As it's only graphite powder, that is on top of the contacts, no special chemical solution is required. If you have isopropyl alcohol, or any other alcohol-based cleaner, I think you're fine with it as well. Let us know if it helped :-)

      I used Isopropyl alcohol to clean contacts but I think any electrical contact cleaning solution would do the job.
