Great video and thank you for your help!! Much more straightforward than others that have the same goal (they remove entire glove-box!). By the way, a little WD-40 on the shaft opposite the fan end got rid of the squeaking noise I had.

zdravim, mam problem s mojou octaviou 1.6 greenline bez systemu climatronic. Motor nespina pri ziadnej rychlosti. skusil som vymenit motor a aj odpor ventilátoru ohrievača ale stale nic. poistky su v poriadku takze fakt uz neviem co s tym moze byt. Ak by ste vedel poradit nieco bolo by to super. vdaka

Thanks for taking the trouble to post this very helpful video! I'm not the most adept home mechanic but I just changed the motor (and the resistor) in well under an hour. The last one I did, which involved removing the glove box, took all morning and required a trip to the garage to have the airbag warning re-set.
