- The fifth part in a series on writing your own experts and this time I have done away with technical indicators in favour of a simple time based range breakout strategy.
This will start with the expert created in part 3, basically as a structure, and make modifications for a range trading expert

Very interesting. Same topic, different approach. I like to use "minutes after midnight" for my time inputs.
I do the same but without the user having to do the math.
@@OrchardForex Yes, that's easier for the user.
Why I still prefer it is that it reduces the number of inputs and it's easier for optimization. Think both have advantages and disadvantages. I've learned a lot from your videos, thanks for the great work. 👍

If you can code I have something for you to trade the breakout and Retest.
The breakout base on a zigzag HH then breakout LL then entry retest LH . This is your ABC pattern.

What if there are no ticks during a specific candle period? There can be minutes between ticks during the Asian session.
If there are no ticks then the price does not break out, but if you want you can implement the code in OnTimer.
Hello Sir, how to delete order after one order is Open? Example, Buy Stop is Open, then after that Sell Stop delete immediately without waiting Close hours?

Thank you for providing a link to copy the actual codes,. I would like to point out however that the "Time Range Breakout.mqh" file has refused to compile, it's showing, Isallowed, and other 19 errors. I just copied the code and tried to compile.
Point it out all you like. The mqh file isn’t meant to compile. Why are you trying?

Mqh files don’t compile. At best you can run a syntax check but the code in the mq4 or mq5 is required to compile

Look for error messages, likely invalid values being too small.

There is no 50 point or 10 point in my code
I tried copying the code using the link you provided and i got an error message saying! IsTradeAllowed-undeclared identifier.

Yes, just monitor for the trade opening and close the opposite pending.

I'm sorry but I'm not sure what you are asking. Yes you can loop through all pairs and extract and save data for each pair in the market watch window.
