The best thing about PlutoTV is it is never the same. It constantly adds new content/channels to keep you coming back. That's what sets it apart. Pluto and Tubi are the best by far. 👍

the commercials on pluto are nothing as bad as what they are on the networks....I just wish they did something better with the soap channel...we need classic soaps... not current...
I’ve heard the name Pluto TV for years but never knew they were a free service until a few days ago. This really is an amazing platform! I love the fact that there are real people choosing the content and not some automated process.

I've been using Pluto for quite some time and it's been a great free service. What Andrew says about finding a movie that you haven't seen for a while and wanting to watch it again or finish it if it's already started is so true for me. And it seems like the commercials are kept to a smaller amount than anywhere else. I've found many great things to watch over the years on Pluto. Great interview, Michael.
I watch "Gunsmoke" and "Andy Griffith" I love it. I Like the fact that these programs never go off the air. Even the commercials are entertaining.
Pluto is available on Android tablet or phone, computer, Roku, and probably more. That's great, and I can always find something to watch. "Nostalgia" had never occurred to me, because I'm still finding plenty of new to me content that I'd never watched before. But I'll keep nostalgia in mind. Lol
Right there with you. We go through seasons in life as far as TV consumption. I’m watching more now than 10 years ago, so Pluto and others have plenty of shows and movies I missed the first time around.
The experience of surfing through live tv channel gives me a lot of nostalgia, i havent done that in years, since internet streaming services came along i stopped whatching traditional tv...

Andrew Montenez is so real! I loaded the Pluto Android app a few years ago then ignored it. I started watching again this week and Pluto is way improved. Which led me here. :)

I remember back in 2017 Pluto TV only had one channel, which show only original contents made by Pluto TV itself. They were very good and you had to wait the next day to watch another show cause they didn't have that many shows on their app at that time.
A little over a month later. Their original channel was gone and replace by several new channels that they still have today.
Channels Dvr is the best addition to Pluto. you can add the channels to your Antenna / Cable or most live streaming services and record
I like it! Commercials are pretty short. There's a lot of B movies but enough good stuff to make it worth watching!
"The Brady Bunch" on demand sealed the deal for me.

Thank you both for all the great information. My son recently showed me UA-cam and got a Roku stick thingy. I can't believe all the great things for free. I love Pluto. I have been watching the old daytime show "Dark Shadow". My cousin had the board game when we were little, LOL.
Keep searching because I get movies free with no commercials no fees nothing.

Pluto TV is way way better than when it first started I remember when it first came out I actually was one of the people who thought it was kind of lame and I thought it sucked because there wasn't really that many great stuff on there but now it's like filled with so much great content.
I think Pluto app is fantastic. I found old western TV shows on the app that I love.

Pluto tv and Tubi is a great combo.
I just signed up and looked forward to seeing some old TV shows.
The on demand stream plays okay at first with ads properly spaced out.
Then, in the last five minutes or so, the stream keeps getting interrupted every five to ten seconds by the same ads.
I contacted Customer Service last week, and they said their engineers are working on the problem.
I appreciate the need for ads, but they should be properly spaced out. Why do I keep seeing the same ad(s) ten times?

The market for FAST is huge. Lots of platforms in the space. If I had unlimited resources I'd aim to create the ultimate one stop shop for FAST content making it so that all the revenue from ads go to the right place in other words the stream comes from the service it's on just accessed through an app that has it all in one place.

i have really liked and have watched Pluto TV for about a year now. However the Audio Description is very annoying. I checked the "How To" section and I see a description on how to Enable Audio Description but NOT to disable it. Please include this in the How to section

I like PlutoTV but it's buggy with commercials and the video freezing up.
It's true. You can see the guy gets nervous when asked about ads. Since basiclly there are no ads, all they run is their own channel promotions and they become annoying quick. And yeah full of glitches and quiet time. But is bearable I must admit.
@@timotialban2688 Even with all the problems of PlutoTV I still like it a lot of old shows that are fun to watch. For free services Tubi is better with no bugs like freezing up and stuff.

Pluto use to have a channel that was exclusive to providing only 4K content. It appears that it disappeared within the last year or so. Do they have any sort of replacement or any sort of current channel that plays only 4K content?

If you’re interested in the content! Lots of stuff on there that UA-cam TV doesn’t have - and it’s free. But it’s up to you. YTTV has a ton of channels to keep you entertained
My biggest question is what about the music channels and they automated controlled or are they picking the music videos out that we get to see.I'm a big music lover.
I favorite channels on pluto tv and when I turn off the tv, the channels I have favorite no longer shows favorite, how do I fix this??

@@robbeichelberger I know it’s an issue others have brought up in the past. I don’t experience it on my Roku. I wish I had a fix. Many of these services have more reliable features on the Roku or Fire TV versions because that’s what most people use. I’ll let you know if I get more clarity from Pluto TV on this.

It has some good TV live shows, but lacks a nice amount of good moves. I like the star trek TV channels, (Especially original and next generation) , but would like to see more Star Trek Movies.

Great interview! I've been watching Pluto on and off since before the ViaCom merger, but haven't gone beyond the live content. It sounds like the on demand section is definitely worth checking out for movies. Nice pro tip about recently added content being shown up front.

Pluto used to be good. There are way too many commercials now. Tonight I timed it and I got 4-6 commercials every 4 minutes. I could not even get focused into the show I was trying to watch.
Deceptive title. You didn't even say how to sign up. I went to the account creation page and it's not even encrypted. Great "infomercial". You showed the "what" but not the "how".

Pluto TV is very unreliable on my smart TV. I do like it, but it's very unreliable. Sometimes movies play, sometimes not. Most of the time the TV shows play and sometimes not. When TV shows play then often movies won't. I'd love to make Pluto a regular but I can't stand sitting there waiting for the video to start, to find the channel banner 20 minutes later.
