Wow! Cyndi's panel quilts look like scrapbooking. Just love them ❤
Hi Pat,I never had a toy sewing machine growing up.But now I have about 40 little machines and dearly love them all.I have a grandson that is 24 he goes antiquing and he has found me a few of them.
You’re so funny. Finding fabric that you forgot about. It happens to all of us. Lol
😅We quilters are so nosey!!! We love eye candy!🍬 We're always looking at details and ideas. "What is that?!?" So funny😂
When I "organize " I always find more projects❤😂
It’s a vicious cycle
Thanks for the shout-out and highlighting what my newest book is all about! I appreciate it so much Pat!
Good Morning from Sunny Virginia Beach. Yesterday’s show was fabulous. I get into ruts often. I think it’s the age I am. As a change and Thanks to YOU for introducing us to Duckadilly for Liberty of London Tawny Lawn fabrics. I have made many many purchases from them and currently working on a 60 degree diamond star thanks to Kate at the Last Homely House using my Liberty of London from Duckadilly to make my first granddaughter a lovely quilt. So when I get into a rut from sewing I switch to hand stitching. It’s very therapeutic. Happy sewing/stitching. Tracy from Virginia Beach .
I love watching Kate from the Last Homely House.
Hi, I also watch Kate. I love seeing her home and property. She also inspires me. I have worked on some plus signs to make a quilt. Mixing in hand work is what I need sometimes.
Cute tiny machine. RED!! My sis & I had a 1950's era Singer Sewhandy. Pretty sure she still has it.
Absolutely love Millie's dresses. Your fabric choice is on point. I love it more and more as you add blocks!!!
thank you so much!
Nosy Quilters!! HAHA 😂 Curiosity killed the cat - but satisfaction brought him back! ❤ love your extra project. Well done
Pat, my toy sewing machine didn't survive being passed down to younger sister & a few cousins! Enjoyed today's video very much! Will catch you online tomorrow!
I had 3 different children’s sewing machines growing up. All gone now. Remember the Barbie doll dresses preprinted on fabric?
Yes! I made several and still have some of the dresses I made.
That would be so cool! ...the preprinted dresses. I bought a couple of the Barbie rooms panels in the 90s I think.
I’m glad I’m not the only one with organizing to do!! It’s like wedding - never ending!
I never had a toy sewing machine, we got to play on mum's Singer. It was an old one, originally a treadle but had an electric motor fitted to it. If we wanted to sew, mum gave us something useful to sew. I started making my own clothes in my early teens.
Beautiful tree! We also do all our yard work. It is a constant battle to keep weeds out of my flower beds. I also will be spending hours weeding. 😭
Hi Pat! The panel book is amazing. I laughed so hard at the "what the heck, why do I have this in here??" I love the idea of using the HSTs for those churn dash blocks. 😊 I'm so going to do that!! Since watching you, I've been cutting some of my scraps into 2 1/2" squares. I also cut them into 5" squares, 1 1/2" strips & 2 1/2" strips. (pre-cut sizes). I love someone's suggestion of placing them on point 💗
Thank you!! ;-)

hehe.. real life all day here Marla!
Lovely scarf ❤, interesting book, and your tulip is huge! 😂 it so funny when we hide fabric on ourselves! Those leader ender blocks are forming into a cute quilt. 🩷 Beautiful tree 🙏 I have a little sew machine that is a pencil sharpener. Time to go hunting for hiden fabric 😂
Gardening and quilting. Favorite things to do while I miss my grands.
I see it with smashing and corner stones!
Or maybe shashing. Lol
I had a child sewing machine that came with a cabinet. I wish I still had it or could find it. I kept it in my playhouse, which had a sewing room.
That was fun
Love the shoofly blocks, great scrap buster. As for weeding, I avoid it like the plague! This time of year, just smother your weeds with a few layers of newspaper and put mulch on top. Easy, peasy, and your yard will look great in no time. Less weeding, more time for sewing!
Makes me think of scrabooking with fabrics
Why is it that I have the greenest thumb when it comes to weeds, but not so much for the plants I want to grow? Love watching your process. It always gets me thinking of ways to use that process in my own projects.
haha!! they do grow well!
I missed this yesterday. I've just finished a top of churn dash I posted on website.
my yard is mostly clover not grass, and wild strawberries. I set the mower high and just mow over the lower 4 inches.
Thanks for telling us about the book. I think it’s what I need to make my Alaska quilt. I’ve got a small panel on Denali, fabrics I bought while in Alaska, and photos I’ve wanted to make quilts of.
Thanks - I hope you will find my newest book helpful for your project!
I love your sewing room. It is just like ours, organized and not organized 😂
I could tell you were working thru something. Thanks for sharing. Im sure i will enjoy all your worthy projects. Hugs❤
Oh, the Shoofly blocks are cute!❤
Love the Alphabet quilt in the panel book - gorgeous - as are all the other ideas she shows 🤩
Thank you! I hope the book might inspire you!
Good morning from Tybee Island GA. Great show this morning (as always) 😊
I love flowering trees!
Your dresses are looking great! No, I never had a mini sewing machine, that one of yours is so cute! Tackle it Tuesday is sometimes Monday-Friday for me! hahaha. I am constantly organizing and re-organizing in my sewing room, things just pile up, or don’t work where i have them, and I need a clean slate to work from each day! Oh my, I have that organizer like yours made in Italy, except mine is the stainless steel gray. Love yours in red, maybe I should ask hubby to repaint mine! Yes, I got it from the container store and went back a few years later to get another, couldn’t find them ! So sad about that. I use it for my threads, a bin for poly, one of aurifil, one for specialty threads, etc. Love it!
I just love the ideas in Playful Panel Quilts. I think I just have to have it!😊.
I hope you'll find the book an inspiration and a great help in creating fun panel quilts!
Pretty sure I had a mini similar to that one as a child.
.Oh My!! I have a stack of the Churn Dash blocks that I have been making with scraps as "leaders and enders!" I need to have a plan to put them together... but I have way more than what you have! lol
Good morning getting notifications now so watched late
Lol paint your toy one red like you did your festherweith😊
I saw a face in that fabric instead of a roof lol. Fun little blocks from your cutoffs!
Thanks for sharing the Playful Panel Quilts book. I kept thinking that many quilts looked like scrapbook pages, and yes I do think I need the book! Yesterday my mail lady delivered the Eiffel Tower panel that I ordered to make an Eiffel Tower quilt for my daughter-in-law--perfect timing!
Good luck on your de-weeding. I need to do the same. **sigh**
Hi Jenny - I hope you'll enjoy my newest book about Panels!
Beautiful tree.
Good morning from sunny Surprise, Arizona. We are having a beautiful spring this year. We have had quite a bit of rain this spring as well so I, too, have spent hours weeding. Love the book. I have a basket of panels on the shelf but need some ideas to actually use them. I am in agreement, your project needs sashing and maybe small cornerstones. Love it!
Both of my books are all about what to do with panels and in-depth how-to look at the process. I hope you'll enjoy them!
Good morning everyone ❤
I collect the toys, but I was never lucky to get one as a child. I have a red one .
Haha we quilters are certainly nosey aren’t we…lol.
My tackle it Tuesday project today is working on my Toffee bar blocks. I'm making some progress so I'm getting itchy to finish the blocks. 😊
If it helps, in the UK we have ‘No Mow May’. The idea being to give wild plants a chance to thrive and set seed.
You could try on point with those squares
Good morning
The mini thread on your toy sewing machine is the type spools of thread used to be back in the day.
Spool looks like Belding Corticelli
❤❤❤
I agree. I don’t care for them side by side either. Maybe sashing between? Good luck! (Haha, didn’t wait for your comment)
Please like the video and subscribe for free. thank you
I'm catching up watching the videos but I feel u re: reevaluating projects. I'm going thru the same thing.
It happens! I just have to tell 500,000 people about it.. haha!
I had one when I was little, hand turned the wheel, sewed chain stitches. My parents thought I could sew my doll clothes instead of treadle machine.
I wonder if the blocks would work as border for a quilt? 🤔
You could do that!
I had to use your link and order this book immediately! I enjoy panels but feel they can be a bit boring, excited to try a fun playful way to use a panel? Thank youn@Pat Sloan for sharing?
I hope you find my books about panels inspiring and helpful!
Good morning! Your little machine is so sweet!❤ I love your half square triangle project! What size did you trim them? I always have those cutaways and I keep saving them but need something easy to do with them! 😊
thank you! the squares are 2.5" finish 2"
Me, too! Now I have a plan! I was wondering on the size, too. I know she cuts scraps into 2 1/2" squares, so maybe that the size.
@@PatSloan thank you!! Now I know what to do with those cutoffs! 🥰

How about setting your blocks on point? I think that would be a good look
You could do that!
Oooooh, great idea!!!
what if you took your little blocks and set them on point??
i might try it!
I have two sets of blocks, counted 23 each. Have not decided what to do with them., they are just from extra material left from as something.
They are yellow & black, not sure who would want them.
Mine are just 9 patches.
Here is my toy machine from a child and i bought one :
I'd set the shoo fly blocks on point with low volume setting blocks. That might make it bigger than you want. KPDUTYQUITER
