Even after 3 years of your video being posted to UA-cam, you have helped someone. Thank you for sharing this video. I've been stuck with which part goes where. I almost flooded my living room because I didn't have the stopper connected. Thanks again!
Hey thanks for much man for your help. My instructions were horrific and didn't even mention to cut the tube or what goes where. Got it all hooked up and ready with your tutorial. You rock.
Thank you so much for this video, it was just what I needed. I bought a cheap air stone/pump setup and wasn't exactly sure where to put the check valve, or even what it was. Thanks for explaining it all but also for keeping it short and sweet.
Thank you sooooo much! Watched multiple videos and finally came across this one-thank goodness!! Managed to set up my filter and pump in t minutes because suddenly it all made sense! 😅 👌❤️
Thank you your video absolutely helped me to use the sponge filter I now know how to set it up. I had no idea where the check valve went it's a weird little thing I thought it went into water and I tried googling up but it was showing all these diagrams I couldn't understand but thanks to your video it's working great now thanks again.
This is what I was looking all over UA-cam for…an easy way to get that hose on LOL! I thought of using very hot water but wasn’t sure if it would degrade it. Thanks for confirming it can be done 👍
Great video I need to hook one of these up Ive never seen the stopper before i always kept the pump up high Or a drip loop Rembering water safety around electronic stuff is good to know Love this stopper idea but had no idea what it was My stuff has very little instructions but i can't see fine print anyway So videos are great Thanks
i have a pawfly. still done get why i have 2 tubes. also not sure how it will work if it's not taking water and putting it back in as using the filter rather than the stone.
Does this pump come with tubing ?? Is all I need to connect to air pump sold with pump? I have an air stone but looking to buy a pump and this looks good .. Hope you can help me thanks
Want your air pump overheat they restricting the airflow? I put a tea valve in to add the airflow valve soul a cut off pressure can run I watch the end and to the bubbler and not overheat the pump.
Three points. 1. Air pumps don't add oxygen to the water, otherwise all the oxygen tanks in the world could be replaced by simple air pumps. The oxygen is absorbed at the surface. The rising bubbles lift the depleted water to the surface, where oxygen can be absorbed. It also helps to keep the surface in motion, breaking a lot of floating oils. 2. When you use an air valve in the way you do, you shorten the life of your air pump by forcing it to work against a partly blocked air line. It would be better to use a "Y" or "T" connector and have your air valve connected to the "unused" side. This allows the unrequired air flow to be bled off. 3. Check flow valves can fail from either side. From the air pump side or the fish tank side. If the the line becomes unconnected on the air pump side, then the check flow valve will do it's job. But if the air line comes off the check flow valve on the tank side, then the water could flow out the air line. If the check flow is located inside the fish tank (just over the edge, but not in the water), then the check flow valve will either just fall into the tank or the air line will drop to the ground behind the tank. Sponge filters are annoying to have to clean all the time and take up a lot of tank space.

Thank you! I had totally forgotten about the check valve so I’ll make sure to get it this weekend
no problem my job is to help
didn’t even know there was an air flow control available. thank you so much! this is very helpful
Thank you, this cleared up my question about the air stone placement. Plus I could hear you say "air stoone" all day😁 Lonna Frazier
Best tutorial video on the sponge filter that I’ve seen 👍 I understand where I went wrong with my last one now

Thanks well under stood was nice to here it from a person that actully explains it and shows it to you 👍🙌👌👏
Just put a little spit on the ends. Make it slip on real easy like. 👍 great video!
Just a hint dip the end of plastic tubing in boiling water ,much easier to fix onto the ends of pumps etc , many thanks

Thank you so much for this, I just got a sponge filter and was confused about the check valve. This explained it perfectly 🐠
Thank you so much for this video. I was struggling to set mine up and you literally explained it so well.
Thank you quarantine tank-saving my fish-cheers! Thank you.
If I use the sponge filter do I still need an air stone for a five gallon tank ?
Great video
I need to hook one of these up
Ive never seen the stopper before i always kept the pump up high
Or a drip loop
Rembering water safety around electronic stuff is good to know
Love this stopper idea but had no idea what it was
My stuff has very little instructions but i can't see fine print anyway
So videos are great
Thanks
Thanks for this video. I did my pinko the wrong way! I didn’t know you had to include the pump valve!
Thank you, this was the help and info I was looking for! So much appreciation! :)
Thank you, really simply explained! 🙌🏻
this helped me so much thank you!!
Exactly what I needed to know...thanks, man!
Thank you, I had the little dial to turn the bubbles up or down but had no idea what it was for since the box did not explain.
Thank you so much, I was so confused :D

Thank you so much! Very helpful for a fishtank newbie👍
Thanks for posting this!
Tremendous help! Thank you!
Thank yooou. Works perfectly ✌️
Great video
Thank you so much perfect instruction and exactly what I needed.
Sponge filters are brilliant. I have one in every tank.
Thank you so much for this video

I have an air stone but looking to buy a pump and this looks good ..
Hope you can help me thanks
tubing is usually sold separate, it’s super cheap.
I just bought the nicrew nano silent, I set it up, and then pump turns off after 30 seconds of working :(( not sure what to do
Hopefully you still have the packaging. I'd return it.
Can I stick the tube to the glass without silicon?
I am trying to connect an air pump, air bubble and filter all together but only one seems to work at a time...any advice please?
So an air stone can be used alternative to a sponge filter?
No
Very helpful thank.
thank you the sponge idea really helped me again thank you
Do you need an air stone to attach the air pump and sponge filter?
This is what im wondering too. Other than that the video was really helpful. Hopefully someone replies

Best in tanks for fish fry?
Love from Brazil!
Thanks very useful
Thanks for the video
Thanks for the demo
How much would all of this cost, roughly
Huell The pump and tubing alone cost me $19 dollars and the sponge filter cost $3. It’s not that expensive especially when you find sales
Thanks for the info
What's the point of having an air stone if you have a sponge filter that filters and gives bubbles? I got on airstone with my sponge filter
Thanks this was helpful. I couldn't remember which direction to attach the check valve.
😅😅😅😅
Are the airstones good enough for Betta?
Can the valve damage pump?
Thank you ❤️
thank you i had it wroung
Thank you
does anyone know where i can find a sponge filter like the one in the video? i ordered one but it seems too bulky nd takes up more room than i want
I got all mine at Petsmart
Thank u!
Thank you hopefully I get it right.

Have u modified it there so much better just did mine
Take a shot every time he says em
soo i got a tank yesterday it was 58 leters 15 gallons
Yeah, I can’t get it in

Worst description ever
Thanks but for the love of God, doesn't take 7 min's, drives me crazy. Just saying
No one forced you to watch the video, chief.
It's just air pump, no filtration.
Wrong description
The black thing IS the filter....
I couldn't stand the almost inaudible, mumbling tone and rambling...
lol
I was able to understand everything 🤷♀️
You're just a bitch.
