Hey thanks for much man for your help. My instructions were horrific and didn't even mention to cut the tube or what goes where. Got it all hooked up and ready with your tutorial. You rock.
I’ve got a 55lt tank would you recommend the u1 or the u2?
Best tutorial video on the sponge filter that I’ve seen 👍 I understand where I went wrong with my last one now
Just put a little spit on the ends. Make it slip on real easy like. 👍 great video!
Thanks very useful
1:31 Best in tanks for fish fry?
Thanks for the great info!
this helped me so much thank you!!
Does it help with PH levels??
Worst description ever
Sponge filters are brilliant. I have one in every tank.
Yeah, I can’t get it in
Try some lube
Thanks but for the love of God, doesn't take 7 min's, drives me crazy. Just saying
No one forced you to watch the video, chief.
Can I stick the tube to the glass without silicon?
Very helpful thank.
Great video
Hi thankyou for your video. The air-rational nozzle do you put this above the water level and also the purple cap is that tightened fully or left a bit loose? I’ve got the directional nozzle 1cm below water level pointing upwards
i have a pawfly. still done get why i have 2 tubes. also not sure how it will work if it's not taking water and putting it back in as using the filter rather than the stone.
didn’t even know there was an air flow control available. thank you so much! this is very helpful
Thank you for this video! It helped me earlier today. I’m not sure which part without watching it all again but I know yours definitely helped! For anyone that wants to use this (u1) as a pump that oxygenates their tank then you will need it slightly peeping out of the water for the Venturi to work. Also…. may need to remove the inside part of the foam (it’s removable and I had no idea why) but removing will increase the flow to get the oxygen flowing. Couldn’t even work out what max flow was without taking the nozzle off to see it shutting off and on. I learnt all this today through searching many many unboxing Videos and reviews. No help from fluvals videos for the U1. The Instructions that came with my filter were terrible and I lost a fish in the process. Glad I’ve got it working now. It’s like a totally different filter/pump to how I originally set it up with the instructions it came with
Take a shot every time he says em
Thank you sooooo much! Watched multiple videos and finally came across this one-thank goodness!! Managed to set up my filter and pump in t minutes because suddenly it all made sense! 😅 👌❤️
Thank yooou. Works perfectly ✌️
Well this was easier than what the instructions made it seem.
Thank you
If I use the sponge filter do I still need an air stone for a five gallon tank ?
For everyone asking what goes in the middle it is the clean and clear filter cube made by fluval
Yes it is
I am trying to connect an air pump, air bubble and filter all together but only one seems to work at a time...any advice please?
Thank you, I had the little dial to turn the bubbles up or down but had no idea what it was for since the box did not explain.
Thank you so much for this video
Have u modified it there so much better just did mine
So an air stone can be used alternative to a sponge filter?
No
Great video 👍🏻
No.demo on sound.....is it loud?
Will it fit a small round aquarium?
Thank you, I am going to give it a try for my 20L betta tank, as I have another Fluval, a U3 for my other tank. It's about the same size as the one on the left. I'm thinking about taking out the middle section of filter and putting in some carbon pellets held in one of my wife's old pairs of tights, cut down.
I just bought the nicrew nano silent, I set it up, and then pump turns off after 30 seconds of working :(( not sure what to do
Hopefully you still have the packaging. I'd return it.
Thanks for posting this!
If my nitrite is at 2ppm ammonia is 0ppm and nitrate is 20ppm should I add more ammonia or wait until nitrite is gone before I add more?
What's the point of having an air stone if you have a sponge filter that filters and gives bubbles? I got on airstone with my sponge filter
Thank you so much for this video. I was struggling to set mine up and you literally explained it so well.
Thank you quarantine tank-saving my fish-cheers! Thank you.
Thanks this was helpful. I couldn't remember which direction to attach the check valve.
😅😅😅😅
Even after 3 years of your video being posted to UA-cam, you have helped someone. Thank you for sharing this video. I've been stuck with which part goes where. I almost flooded my living room because I didn't have the stopper connected. Thanks again!
Thos was teally helpful thanks
Thank you very informative!!
thank you irish fish guy!!!
horrible filter, had one for 2 weeks. Still can't get any meaningful flow through the thing. You would get more flow with a baby blowing through a straw. Makes a nasty buzzing noise and is generally useless, i'm planning on taking mine back and getting a refund. Avoid at all costs
I've had mine for about three years now and it's doing great. HOWEVER, when I bought a second one, I had problems with that one. Had to return two of them and then upgraded to a U2. Staff said they had multiple problems with a particular lot of U1s. So depending on when your particular U1 was made, it could be perfectly fine like my original one or one of the crappy lot like the second/third ones. The U2 is also doing well.
Have you tried looking at the impeller to make sure it’s properly seated
Thank you ❤️
Exactly what I needed to know...thanks, man!
