    Great followup. My favorite part of this interview is the part where Cody mentions that you can't just try for a year or two and expect success... you have to be okay with trudging through the snow for a while before you never have to again.

    Graybox was/is the best studio you've featured (IMO - obviously). It's everything you want from a contemporary recording studio. Can see it's influence on your latest configuration - looks er, 'dope' as they say in the US.

    Great follow up. I think your original Graybox tour was what turned me on to your channel in the first place Its great to see things coming full circle.

    This is GREAT! I would love to see this update series and see the building and transformation portion of these great spaces. Your documentation and interview skills are astounding. Your genuine enthusiasm for others success is obvious and an inspiration for those dreaming big. You gotta celebrate other peoples achievements and digest them as fuel for self improvement. Well done.

    This Studio changed me as well. Totally Inspired by your work of Art! I've seen a bunch of other studios and nothing has topped "The GrayBox" for me yet and that is why this is the best studio in the world for me! Thank you and Thank you Andrew for showing us this awe inspiring studio... _/\_

    Loved the update and hearing about the journey! I’m about to embark on the basement studio setup so it was inspiring to see someone who started with a very similar setup and what they were able to evolve it into

    I was making lunch while this started and literally had to do a double take when I caught my first glimpse of him. I thought Jorge Masvidal had transitioned into pro audio for a second!

    This video has been so inspiring! Mostly when you guys talked about being able to create a space like that and just going for it. Mega inspiring! Hopefully I’ll be able to male my big studio in my backyard 🙌🏼

    Great video (as always) Andrew! Graybox was one of the first studio tours I saw on your channel and I didn’t recall that it was so freshly built when you did that initial visit. It’s great to see how you both have grown and evolved in the time since then. Loved this return and the hearing/seeing the backstory and how they got to the place they are today. Very inspiring!

    Hi Andrew. Thanks for doing a follow up of Graybox. I actually wanted to ask you if you would visit them again on your previous video, but realised you always visit new studios… So I think this is a first, which made my day!
    Graybox has been my favourite studio tour so far. The aesthetics are gorgeous! The wood, lighting, windows, colour scheme, furniture, layout… everything is just breathtaking without “trying” to be “flashy”.
    This specific tour has been a huge influence and inspiration for me to make my own studio (though a much smaller, humbler version than this - no hidden loft lounges or grand pianos, unfortunately hehe). I have been working on it for almost this entire past year. It is a lot of work and can be daunting at times, but extremely rewarding when plans work out.
    Cody seems like a really cool, down to earth guy. His positive message, even though somewhat cliche, once again set my mind at ease. I wish Cody all the success and hope you will return to Graybox in the future with another update. I wish I could visit myself, but I am not in the US. One day.
    I also wish you good luck with your new studio Andrew. I am so happy for you. Watching your every step and see you grow is very inspiring. Subscribing to you was one of the best things I did. Keep up the awesome work!

    Super cool space! The short loft hangout is pretty quirky. Kinda adds to the character of the place. I wonder if it's difficult to get that equipment in and out of that space?

    By watching the amazing performance and uplifting music of Cece Winans recorded in there that you guys talked about. I just found out that she won X3 Grammys Awards.
    Best Gospel Performance/Song “Never Lost”; Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song; “Believe For It” (the song shouted at the grey box) and Best Gospel Album. “To God be the glory!

    That studio is incredible and one of my favorites, but that loft with table and chairs is absolutely hilarious. A place where you can get away from the session? I mean come on man. Great for storage, but 4 ft ceilings for hanging out, I'd pass. One of the most bazar design features I've ever seen anywhere.

    • @phase56
      @phase56 2 роки тому +1

      gotta do the best with what you got man! we were literally capped at that ceiling height by city codes, so we couldn't make it any taller, but wanted the upper area to be somewhat usable - you should come hang sometime and maybe see if it's not as horrible as you imagine!

    • @mcoffey56
      @mcoffey56 2 роки тому +1

      @@phase56 Like I said, one of my favorite studios and just incredible space. Took a lot of vision to create it. Certainly more than I could have done. I've shown it to people as an example. That being said, some things are better left to their own IMO. Storage, yes. Table and chairs, no😉 I'm 6'1" on a bad day. Ain't happening for me. Just sort of takes away from the overall intelligence of the space. Again, IMO.

    • @mitchclem4442
      @mitchclem4442 2 роки тому +1

      @@mcoffey56 even the storage is questionable to me. Crab walking back from the back corner with one of those guitars in hand sounds difficult. Still tho, very sick studio indeed. I took a lot of inspiration from it for my studio I’m currently building.
