The butter eating is necessary for the meaning it carry. In Korea, "butter" is a deragotary slang used on locals deemed to be too American or Westernized. And BTS have had that accusations hurled at them all the time. With Butter, BTS is telling haters that they don't care what people call them, they will continue to embrace who they are, they will continue to roll, because at the end of the day they are bigger than whatever labels put on them (hence the Butter being eaten).

I have never heard members of a performance group, especially _every single member_ of a group (and a group that large!) speak that way about each other. it's crazy. but it's real. and just like you said, members of a group who see each other that way are not trying to out-perform one another, outshine one another, compete with one another. When you guys talked about " Humility" I realised..... At that moment... There are people out there like you who really... Sincerely.... Knows....the intricacies, the difficulties, the passion, the hardwork that BTS has and goes through.... And truly wants to understand them.. And appreciate them .. And validates them for who they are and what they do and just making this world a better place.
I always enjoy your chaotic reactions...so much fun. I noticed you have a slogan of "representing the underrepresented" in your intro and I feel like that is a huge part of BTS's message as well. You hit the nail on the head when you said they are humble despite all their success. If you watch any of their content like RUN BTS (variety show) or any of their travelogs (Bon Voyage, In The Soop) you get to see their personalities and how they don't have a conceited bone in their body. We get to see so much offscreen content that we fall in love with them as people (beyond their incredible talents). They have put in 12-16 hour days on their craft for 10 years, and still credit all their success to ARMY (the fandom). The fact that they are relatable and grateful (and even surprised by their own success) is what I think gives them the most loyal fanbase on the planet. A couple of fun facts...Jungkook had a gemstone eyebrow piercing in this video, but he has now gotten it done for real. The hand kissing gesture that you see throughout the video is a nod to the fandom, based on JK having ARMY on his hand and he is kissing that. There is a line in the song that says "got ARMY right behind us" and they are spelling out the word ARMY with their bodies (not sure if you caught that). They are constantly reinventing themselves for every comeback (which is 2-3 times a year). I think it is brave of them while they are trying to break into the North American market to not be afraid of wearing gender fluid outfits....it would have been the easy way out to just come off as high end mainstream to attempt to appeal to the masses. They are unreal and I enjoyed your reaction.

You hit the nail on the head when you said they are humble despite all their success. If you watch any of their content like RUN BTS (variety show) or any of their travelogs (Bon Voyage, In The Soop) you get to see their personalities and how they don't have a conceited bone in their body. We get to see so much offscreen content that we fall in love with them as people (beyond their incredible talents). They have put in 12-16 hour days on their craft for 10 years, and still credit all their success to ARMY (the fandom). The fact that they are relatable and grateful (and even surprised by their own success) is what I think gives them the most loyal fanbase on the planet. A couple of fun facts...Jungkook had a gemstone eyebrow piercing in this video, but he has now gotten it done for real. The hand kissing gesture that you see throughout the video is a nod to the fandom, based on JK having ARMY on his hand and he is kissing that. There is a line in the song that says "got ARMY right behind us" and they are spelling out the word ARMY with their bodies (not sure if you caught that). They are constantly reinventing themselves for every comeback (which is 2-3 times a year). I think it is brave of them while they are trying to break into the North American market to not be afraid of wearing gender fluid outfits....it would have been the easy way out to just come off as high end mainstream to attempt to appeal to the masses. They are unreal and I enjoyed your reaction.
