I love all those warning stickers. Soooo funny! You guys crack me up!
I can vouch for this generator. Building a house and living in rv on-site. Over 1600 hours continuous 24x7 use... oil changes every weekend. Finally have temp power, but this unit was a life saver beforehand. 👍
A. How many hours between oil changes. And do you run it with gas or propane?
About every 100 hours... which for us was every Saturday for 4 months like clockwork.
Did a mix of both propane and gas, but mainly non ethanol fuel for the extra wattage output.
@@JupiterMoJois the propane or gas more efficient aka less expensive to run? Also how many hours do you get to a tank of gas?
Loved the extra stickers, that was funnny....I'm kinda new to your channel but you two are in my top favorite RV youtubers to watch.
Dude, you are a beast! 100lb dead lift, impressive. Great video, complete info with dashes of humor to spice up the subject, the added stickers was creative, along with the "generator doctor" making a house call! Well done.
Hubby and I can't love 💕 this video enough!!!! First, thank you for your honesty and humor. Second thank you for addressing real life issues that are on our minds.
I need some of those warning stickers! LOL
Whomever wrote them definitely has a sense of humor, LOL! “Do not lick dipstick.” “Do not stroke knob.” “In case of emergency 🆘 RUN!” That’s hilarious! 🤣
Really good vlog on the Champion Gennies. Loved the "additional" stickers my favorite is don't pee in tank, and don't set yourself on fire LOL. You two are awesome, safe travels.
Yeah…These alcohol blend gasolines can be troublesome. I forgot to run the carburetor dry on my generator years ago. The alcohol in the gas turned all the rubber carburetor parts to mush. I had to have the carb rebuilt. The mechanic added a fuel shutoff valve and strongly cautioned me about alcohol blend fuel. I pay extra for alcohol-free gasoline, but it’s worth it.
Loved this video; quite informative and very funny! Thank you, both. ❤️
When I found out that the Championship 2500 dual fuel would start and run a 15k AC on propane my interest in these 100 pound 30A generators went WAY down.
I think a soft start would be pretty much a requirement to run that size air conditioner with a 2500 W unit
Was born and raised in Southern California, and laughed until I had tears. I don't think I've ever watched such an entertaining product review! 😂
The “Warning Sticker” are hilarious! Good job. LOLOHO!
The warning labels were epic!
I didn't see any warning stickers that I would consider expendable. Leave them all on for the children.
That being said, I'm in California, and I think you offended me. If I could reach, I'd slap you.
Would love to have a nice craft beer with you Sean. 🍻
OMG....Loved the video. Took us awhile to watch because we had to pause the video to read all the warning stickers. Thank you for making my evening.
Love the warning stickers! Haha
I believe you could just make a ton of money making the stickers and selling sticker packs! I like the generator but still like the westinghouse better due to the remote start.
Still very satisfied with the Champion 3100 you recommended and that we bought!! Thank You!!!! Single Fuel but REMOTE START and SHUTOFF!!!
Just picked one up from Amazon after seeing your video. I plan to do the Wife test too!
Love the extra notices. No snarkiness in this video. :-)
First I thought oh no he’s back to hocking stuff. But then I saw the stickers! Quite funny but yet informative.
There’s a trick I learned about pull/kick starting . First gently pull /kick* about 1/3 -1/2 of the way feeling the compression. You want to stop so the cord is completely in but you are where the compression is the hardest to pull , this may take several soft pulls to find that right spot. Now you can give it a good pull . This insures your getting maximum revolutions.
* kick is for motorcycle-/ scooter only ; )
We enjoyed video!
Unfortunately we’re from California and I love your videos! 😄 Hope to see you on the road someday. Safe travels!
Thanks for having a sense of humor! I really do love California... hope to see you out there someday. Cheers and safe travels to you! 😄
I bought this unit last fall and I’m very impressed
I think you need to sell those stickers on your website, I would like a couple of each one !!
I grounded our Champion 3400 Dual Fuel generator last summer because we were located at 9,200' ASL in a high lightning area which was also grounded to our 25' Weboost pole with lightning arrester. I would shut down the Weboost during thunderstorms, but did not have any lightning issues once I finally got the copper-coated steel rod pounded down through the rocky terrain & soaking some saltwater in the immediate area around it.
Good Morning. 4500W units is very heavy. That why I got the 2400W unit and it runs my AC unit and I have a second one just in case I need it. Yes they are dual fuel. Jack
Smart idea 💡 Having two smaller ones has benefits. If one goes down for some reason y'all got a back up. Plus, easier to move around. I think smaller ones are also quieter. If only one smaller one is running at a time that is. Enjoy
Love the addon stickers! 🙂
Love all of those stickers.
The stickers and warnings are over the top. I especially like the Do not lick the dipstick.
I don't know about anybody else but I always use the surge protector on the generator when I run it to the camper just to be safe.
I have one of these and really like it. I have not put a drop of gasoline in it and will not.
@@Hundert1 short answer yes. Gasoline with will not store long without stabilizer. The little jets in the carburetor clog up and may not clean requiring a new carburetor.
@@davidbottles3035 Then you'll be stuck using only the propane for sure. Thank you
@@Hundert1 I travel with 100 pounds of propane in the 5th wheel. So it is my fuel of choice.
@@davidbottles3035 OK, then what's the point of getting a dual fuel generator? I'm guessing in a rare emergency you might consider using the gasoline.
My wife & I were nearly rolling on the floor in tears at the labels! Haven't laughed so hard in awhile! Glad someone appreciates great humor... Nickelback sucks... LOL 😅
Love the warning stickers! I am impressed that Christy hasn't killed you. I have been married 47 years and I am amazed every day by how much my wife puts up with. Never grow up and thank you for all the work you two do on the videos.
Here is my video on this awesome inverter. I ran it for the 5 hour break-in period on propane, put about a 50% and less load on it, changed the oil, and stored it in the garage. The battery is in a trickle charge, ready to go when needed. I used about 2 pounds of propane in those five hours.
Love to see the evaluation tests for Prepper products. New technologies are coming on board that's going to change our lives. Somebody with experience has to give them an evaluation RVing or living off grid.
Thanks, I'm planning to do more Prepper videos in the future. Mainly because I myself have started prepping LOL
Very funny and informative video., probably triggered some commyfornia folks. I bought a champion generator years before the dual fuel option. Still starts first pull. Has the 30amp Rv plug and runs my ac. Great buy back in the day for $279.
I'm going to order a Champion just to get all those cool "warning stickers". LOL
Great video. Thanks for the info
Excellent update to the Champion line of generators.I wish they made a remote start with this generator. I'd like to see you guys review some of the Bluetti products like their power station and put it under some electrical load to see what it does. Also, Curt came out with a new wireless brake controller that looks like a nice product to review. There still are not enough videos in the categories of towing and electrical power for RV's out there. Thanks for your amazing review and have a fantastic day!
All those warning stickers placed on the device are just funny.
Recently purchased this generator and looking forward to using it this season and hopefully many more to follow. Just downsized from a dually and a fifth wheel to a Jeep and a Casita so this should fulfill all of our needs. Big big big shout out to Sean and Kristy for all of your videos! Always top quality and makes us feel like you have been a part of our journey as well.
I love your show. I was watching out for deals on bluetti last year. On your recommendation I bought one on last black Friday. It's been useful in running remote job sites where I use my car as a mobile office.
Sean: As always your videos are informative and fun! I purchased this same Champion generator a few months back when we moved from our small motorhome to our new travel trailer. I included your past reviews of Champion products as part of my assessment of this unit. The features and performance of this generator have been everything I wanted to power the Imagine when we are off grid camping. I second all your positive features and comments. This generator is perfect for our needs. While it does take both of us to move it from the truck bed to the ground, the handles are so well designed it is not a big chore. With regard to your inability to get it under your truck tonneau cover, we have not had that difficulty. We have a different type of tonneau cover and it fits just fine. I think because yours is a sliding type cover it rides just a little lower on the bed than ours does. Again, another great video and we hope you'll be headed out west again this year and that we get another chance to see you at a meet up. Great video and safe travels, LarryAndBarbi!
Thanks Larry & Barb, hopefully we will get together again this year. Very cool that you own this unit also! I am very impressed with it. The extra power is welcome as is the dual fuel feature. We may end up bringing it but first we need to find a solution to the tonneau cover issue... Safe travels! Sean
Sean,
1) As a Californian, I guess we’re all nuts!
2) Kristy may be challenged by manually starting that beast, but I wouldn’t want her to be on her bad side.
3) And lastly, where did you get those outrageous stickers for the genny?
PS: I purchased a Champion 3400 Dual Fuel. Best purchase ever!
great review. Only problem is "there is no replacement for displacement". At my age if I start trying to sling around a 100#+ generator, I am quite concerned that the displacement might be the discs in my spine....?
Love mine. And, it does fit under the tonneau cover of my F-150.
Heard great things about these units..thanks for the thorough review!
Another great video! I love my Champion dual fuel inverter generator, one of the best for sure. Running on propane just makes so much sense instead of gasoline but it is good to have a back up fuel source. I do recommend it as you do. Take care and safe travels, all. Dave
Own several of the older 2000 watt Champion units and they are fantastic. Proper break in and regular maintenance and they have been 100% reliable. This looks like my next purchase as I love the "Propano" option.
Love those extra warning stickers on the generator!!! 😝🤣😝🤣
I love mine! It's only about 10 lbs heavier than my older 3100 champion. Look forward to using it camping. Stay safe.
Love the Warning Stickers!
😂😂😂 love the normal, none chalant, jabs and jokes. I just bought one of these and getting it tomorrow. Can't wait to try it out. Awesome video! 👌 👍👍
Thanks! I took a little heat for the jokes in this video, so I ended up "toning it down" in some subsequent videos. Your comments make me want to crank it back up! 😆 👍
You can convert a standard gas generator to Propane with a kit for less than $100, in most cases, and avoid the almost doubling (although convenient) price increase. Although with propane, the generator is around 25% less efficient, than with gas. Maybe with the fuel increases the price per hour will close the gap?
Haha this is one of the best product reviews of anything I have seen on UA-cam!
Hello. 4 years ago I took your advice and bought the dual fuel generator. I only run it on propane. It still runs great. Lots of boondocking. It will need a new battery soon. But that is ok.
Those warning stickers are hilarious!
I don't have a large RV like you guys, I camp in a square drop, but I wanted an inverter generator for just in case scenarios either at home or at the camp site. It came in handy last year during the October snow storm. I purchased Champion 2500 pull start based on your reviews of Champion. I am extremely happy with it and at age 72 I can handle it. It only has one downfall, it doesn't have a LOLOHO banana sticker on it.
This will run my entire travel coach, no problem. 103 lbs is the weight of a petite woman. Small price to pay for the ability to spend the summer in the eastern sierras in comfort. Thanks for the useful information .
love your generator videos! 🙋♂
p.s. i think i have sticker envy!
So, i (Dave) think that Kristy has trouble starting the generator simply because her arms are shorter and she cannot get enough leverage to pull the cord quickly enough. We bought a Champion 2500 for home backup now (and maybe RV later) last year based in part on your reviews. New out of the box it started on first or second pull (propane only - plan to never use gas). So far have not needed it, but happy it is ready if needed. OBTW really love the "edited / added" stickers.
Great summary. Looks like Champion has become your sparkolator of choice. Unquestionably the propane is way to go.
Oh, all the "Warning Labels" are awesome. It is like a lawyer's wet dream. Excellent review by the way.
Well done review. I am very impressed with the product. Glad to see a manufacture produce a dual fuel generator.
Barry
Softstart has a new voltage regulator/softsrart combo plug that can handle softstarting two 13500 watt air conditioners. No need to install softsart directly to your aircondioner.
Another first on UA-cam!! Man gives up remote for "EZ Start". I got the 4500 watt gas model with the remote. Propane is kind of like diesel, you can't always get it. I also have a larger 240 volt dual fuel generator for emergency use at home.
Propane is by far the easiest fuel to get, dispensing it requires no electricity, it doesn't get contaminated by storm surge, it's not used by people trying to evacuate, and as pointed out it stores indefinitely so you can easily have a stockpile at home.
As far as places to get it, nearly every gas station, grocery store and convenience store has propane exchanges. Blue Rhino has over 50,000 locations and Amerigas has over 54,000. That's more than 3x the number of locations that Subway, McDonalds, Burger King, and Wendy's have combined or just slightly fewer than the 115k gas stations in the US.
@@andrewfidel2220 I guess you live in a different world. I use it at home because I can control the supply. I don't use it on the road because I do not find the supply as reliable as you. Every refill I have seen requires electricity to use the pump. I don't like carrying gasoline, but I burned a house down because a regulator failed on a gas grill. My propane powered generator for my house is about 75 feet from my new house.
@@screddot7074 if you're only looking for refill service then yes it's going to be more limited, but exchange service is basically universally available and will always allow you to get propane.
I have this same model and loving it. So far I'm still less then 100 hours. I do run it once a month for 15 minutes just to make sure it all good. I only run it on Propane. However mine did not come with all the warning stickers. LOL
Thanks! Watching from Central, Texas
I paid 818 bucks on Amazon for one of these a while back. Love it.
I still want Vinnie’s North bay Airstream to install a Onan Cummins propane generator in our Airstream. Saw one being installed this morning and they are Quiet. And the Installation is so clean.
Powered my RV all last summer on my trip across the US. I only used propane because was storing unit inside my tow vehicle. Air conditioner was used without problems.
Telling jokes in California may trigger violent slapping!!! Hahahahahaha!! Love your sense of humor!
“Why do you keep pausing and rewinding that generator video over there?” - Wife
“The stickers are hilarious and I need to pause to see them”- me
I like everything about Champion generators. I am thinking of switching to a portable rechargeable battery bank back up. With gas and propane cost going through the roof seems like a reasonable back up . Thank you for another great video
I will be reviewing a really nice setup soon. They are pretty expensive if you want a large capacity unit, but overall I think they are great. I'm really excited about the upcoming review because this unit is the nicest I've ever owned.
Great informative video, especially enjoyed the wonderful humor, stickers are a pet peeve of mine and God knows we need a good laugh right now. Trying to start a generator with the pull rope can be a bit frustrating, but hey, electric start? Thanks folks, the effort you put into these videos shines through.
Great detailed information. Thanks
That is a real nice generator!
Great video on the dual fuel genny.we have the champion 2000/1700 regular gas genny and its wonderful. Rv fuel is the only stuff to use in any small engine...it eliminates 99% gas related issues .i am a firm believer in fuel stabil type of products also..the caution stickers are fabulous!!!!we enjoy your videos greatly keep them coming👍👍👍
They make a 5500 W dual fuel inverter sold through BassPro that is about the same size and weight. The thing is a beast and sips fuel. Picked it up for less than the 4500 too about 1yr ago. Champion makes a solid product!
I purchased this Champion 4500w dual fuel in February 22. The only thing I found was a nut from the motor mount came off (located by the oil fill). I put back on and marked it with a marker to keep an eye on it. Other than that I like it.
I would also like to see a vlog with pet friendly places and what you do with the dog when you can’t take them with you into certain places. Thanks
I just purchased the Champion 4650 invertor generator. I did have issues with the initial starting of it but once it started I've had no problems. I doubt I do any boondocking, but when electricity goes off at the house I can move to the camper.
I really want to get a small dual fuel generator 👍
Me too! I'm looking into the Westinghouse version. I think it's aboit 3,500 watts.
I am anxious to save enough pennies to get one of these. I currently use a now essentially illegal red gas powered 1000w inverter. (No longer allowed in California. One more reason to leave CA.) Thanks for another informative video.
Great video. Good explanations. Clear, and easy to understand.
Thankyou Sir.
Excellent Video, Excellent Camera Lady, and Excellent Information. Really Nice Generator. How Does It Compare To Honda Generators Which Are Really Quiet?
I really like the 3400 champion dual fuel, it’s the one I use. It’s lighter then that big bad boy, fits under tonneau and uses less fuel and slightly quieter. It also easily powered my 13.5 AC, converter, microwave. I always turn the water heater onto propane just to save the potential aggravation of overload. My choice of the three you have there is 3400:). But if I had the big boy I would leave it at the house for power outages or disasters.
Love your product reviews.
Now I will have to go out and measure the tonneau cover on my Tundra! Hopefully it fits, if not the 3400 looks good too.
I have the 3100 dual fuel, even on propane it runs the AC, really wish it had the remote, seems with the propane models the remote is out
@@wheatbrook Thats because you can only shut it off by closing the propane tank valve.
Thanks…very helpful. Can’t believe the designers at Champion would be so dumb. Would like loloho to provide an addendum to their video.
You generator videos have all been great and I never thought your trusty Yamaha would be dethroned. But it seems like Campion is the choice of Loloho. This is a very informative video, but the stickers on this unit are absolutely hilarious! Keep up the great work.
Thank you! Well, we loved the ol' Yamaha but it won;t fit beneath our tonneau. For our purposes the Champions seem to get the job done nicely.
I have owned the 3100 with remote start since I seen your review. It is very easy to pull start if you so choose. However I'm lazy and just use the button on the remote. Thanks for the review
IT’S SO QUIET! We own a square-drop, and have Midwestern weather-related power outages, so this will have double duty functionality for home and camping. HOWEVER, after the unboxing, we powered it up, on PROPANO, and stood right next to it in normal conversation mode! We then fired up the 13.5k btu A/C and (😇 Ahhhhhhh…..!) it was still super quiet! Ran it on Eco, too! Your reviews convinced me that dual fuel was an awesome option, and Prime Day sealed the deal! It takes the two of us to lift it into the bed of the truck, but I can move it with the wheels all by myself (60 plus, out of shape, lady person). You two have improved our camping experiences so much; from the wrought iron twig hooks, to the Bad Boy generator! Thanks once again!,🤙
Great review and man we cracked up with all the humor in your video!! Gotta love the humor! We always enjoy all your videos! 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙🇺🇸
Excellent review as usual. Thanks
This was worth watching for the abundance of caution and warning stickers alone.
Good stuff . . . I subbed on the strength of your 'comments' on our ridiculous regulations here in California! I did purchase this generator.
Thanks for the sub! A few people unsubbed me because of those comments, so maybe you have helped it all balance out. 😆 Cheers and safe travels to you
Loved the W. Smith reference 🤣
LONGLONG biggest fan, thank you guys! Love yall.
1987 Avion 34-V Signed Cousin Eddie, lol
Sean! .. You tossed that 100+ pound thing into your truck bed like it was a Hostess Twinky !!!!
oh my God Sean!!! did you miss the opportunity on the warning label in the oil compartment!!!!!!!!!!!! That pretty much splains the problems our youth invent for themselves every. damn. day.......
We have the 3500 dual fuel love it !! If it only had remote start so Lori didn’t have to go start it
Champion does make a 4650W model that look exactly like the 4500. I bought the 4650 gas, pull start only. Without the battery and starter, the unit is much easier to load on the back of my fifth wheel. It has plenty of power to run my 15,000 btu AC.
Great review. Did you find a replacement gas cap that fits under the cover? Link please if so…..
As Maxwell Smart used to say: “Missed it by that much.”
As always, an excellent video. I really appreciate the humor.

Hi sir, I am from Upwork and I am a thumbnail designer. I have messaged you on Instagram
Hi sir, If you are interested in my proposal then let's talk 😊
I bought a 4650 watt champion inverter generator for my 50 amp big fifth wheel do I need a surge protector I’m hoping it will run one air conditioner atleast and the other stuff in the camper is that possible
I've run this generator and it locked up with low hrs, I don't recommend. Compared to my Generac and Cummins.
