If being cool and chivalrous and being the epitome of a shonen trope you don't like is all you get from him, then I don't think you'll ever like him. You see, with this character you really have to take the time to analyze him and not just see the superficial part of him, I hope you understand that and in the arcs to come you try to empathize with him; for example in Baratie one could say that because of his appearance and how he portrays himself, he's just a cool character and a wanna be womanizer, but then you understand a lot of things about him, like why he doesn't use his hands in a fight, the reason he feeds anyone who is hungry (even if they are his enemies) , why he fights with zeff all the time and if you look at him introspectively you understand that through his facade of being a cool guy and a gentleman, you discover a boy who lacks confidence (unlike Luffy and Zoro ), he didn't believe in himself or his dreams, he wants to make himself believe that the all blue was just a silly dream, even though that dream is what makes him the happiest and most true to himself. Seeing Zoro fighting with Mihwak, knowing that he could die trying to fulfill his dream (even if it is impossible at that moment),Luffy also makes Sanji understand that Zeff saved him, not for him to waste his life and die to pay a debt that he convinced himself existed. All of that makes Sanji realize that he cannot stay in the restaurant (his comfort zone) and he cannot keep making zeff his excuse to stay and he has to start taking risks to do what he wants, and I could say more but this comment will get even longer

Hi! Thanks for the comment and the feedback, I’ve already planned to do that for Arabasta, since not as much “happens” to recap each bit. Thank you for correcting me on the name of the ship! I was going off of memory for this video haha!
Generally people don't dislike Syrup village or Orange Town, it's just that these arcs are perceived as being among the weakest of the entire series. I think the reason for this the fact that they do not have a peak moment like Zoro's promise or Nami asking for help. I am not sure why the Usopp pirates disbanding is not viewed the same. For me personally it just does not hit as hard. Maybe you can make a video about why that Usopp moment resonated more with you than other moments did.
@@TheNerdLounge After some more thought, I think it comes down to impact and length. It is a cool emotional moment, but it lacks with respect to impact on Usopp going forward. And because the kids are only around for a couple chapters I don't get the time to be super attached to them.
So the arcs end up getting longer and longer to the point where saga reviews don’t work as well. You should pick and choose and use your own judgement on how to structure these. The latest complete saga for example would be insane to do as one review due to the sheer size of it. But others aren’t so bad.
Your East Blue character rankings are SO CLOSE to mine! 😂 East Blue Strawhat Rankings: 1. Luffy 2. Usopp 3. Nami 4. Zoro 5. Sanji The only difference is that Nami and Zoro are swapped. 🤣 Which makes sense, seeing as how I actually really enjoyed the mystery of if Nami was actually a good person or not, where as it seems like you were more frustrated by it at first. 😅
Your fav scene will change again. And again and again till the very last arc. The story only improve going forward. Reminder: every single word character or narrator say has meaning. Take a book and note things u think meaning full. This is not a story of luffy. Its a story of people who thinks about one piece.

I am not sure why the Usopp pirates disbanding is not viewed the same. For me personally it just does not hit as hard.
Maybe you can make a video about why that Usopp moment resonated more with you than other moments did.
I don’t understand why it isn’t seen the same way, it holds the same weight.
That’s a good idea for a TikTok to be fair!
Yeah, multiple people have said this! I’m gonna try and do a lil reorganise as the series goes on!
Your East Blue character rankings are SO CLOSE to mine! 😂
East Blue Strawhat Rankings:
1. Luffy
2. Usopp
3. Nami
4. Zoro
5. Sanji
The only difference is that Nami and Zoro are swapped. 🤣 Which makes sense, seeing as how I actually really enjoyed the mystery of if Nami was actually a good person or not, where as it seems like you were more frustrated by it at first. 😅
Wanji too low
Love that! So close, and I understand your difference in opinion too! Thanks for the comment
"a lot of interaction"
A lot of people have said this - no spoilers though!

Your fav scene will change again. And again and again till the very last arc. The story only improve going forward.
Reminder: every single word character or narrator say has meaning. Take a book and note things u think meaning full.
This is not a story of luffy. Its a story of people who thinks about one piece.
Love the sound of that! Didn’t know it was a note taking series, but I’ll check it out!
@@TheNerdLoungehis statement is true, someday you're gonna look back at the east blue saga saying "has that been there this whole time?" Like all of us did our first read through.
@@madscientist14 oh I truly cannot wait!
@@TheNerdLounge The world building of one piece is amazing because oda keeps going back over his series and tying in questions and things you never thought to question together into a satisfying answer
Beware the amount of manga panels you're showing; Toei is MEAN about copyright.
@@kyo-raikogen9493 ahhhhh I didn’t realise that….
Lol. You showed a wrong Nami when you were talking about Nami.
Wait, what do you mean??
@@TheNerdLounge You showed a page of one of the two One Shots drawn by Oda before One Piece. In this image the female character is Silk. A "wrong" Nami.
Ah ok interesting! I never knew about that, always the problem with googling for panels lol
Saga* review 😘
Wait I made a mistake!
Looking forward to your reviews for one piece
Thank you! Might have to bring my plans forward….
Idk why u judging Sanji based off his trope
It’s hard not to judge a character off their tropes in the first part of a story haha….
