      But they use to have tendency to rush them up to the majors. In the bullpen Heuer and Foster have great arms. But they are only here because of injuries. They need to continue to stock up and have been doin a good job so far.

    • @burningphoneix
      @burningphoneix 4 роки тому +1

      @@kevinthomas522 Sox scouting has been just filling the minors with pitchers. Last draft they picked pitchers every round (granted their were only 5 rounds) and they still have Jimmy Lambert, Matthew Thompson, Andrew Dalquist and Jared Kelley stewing in the minors not to mention Michael Kopech who would be in the rotation probably if he didn't opt out this season.

    • @kevinthomas522
      @kevinthomas522 4 роки тому

      @@burningphoneix ...thats fine. Because as of right now i think Lopez and Cease at this moment are too inconsistent to be in the rotation. Did they rush them up too early? Possibly. Both are having problems with their control....especially Cease. Both have great fastballs but have a problem getting their secondary pitches over. Now do you want them to straighten those things out here in the majors is the question. Both have the potential to be mainstays in the rotation. But they are struggling. So its a great idea to stock up on pitchers.

So no hes definately not telling him he cant see it 🤦‍♂️ With some work this kid is going to be a great closer. That is some serious heat coming out out of his hand. Hopefully he does better than he did in college. Hes come a long way since 👍 His command is there and he looks like his mechanics are flawless. He looks comfortable up there on the mound. Injury speculation is speculative because it's speculative. There's no way to say if someone is gonna need TJS based on mechanics, nor any other issue of the elbow or shoulder joint. It either happens or it doesn't. There are a number of proper movements and components of a delivery that every pitcher has, and must have, and his health either holds up or it doesn't. It's a matter of how resilient the soft tissue is, and that is genetic.
    There's also nothing necessarily more strenuous about a 98 average velocity versus 89, since either one suggests the same sustainable in-game effort for a given pitcher. Guys from 2000 who threw around 90 had to have surgery all the time. Mark Prior was said to have perfect mechanics, and he did, but he still had his HOF trajectory fall of the rails with injuries. After the fact, then everyone somehow knew what he was doing wrong. Lincecum's mechanics were legendary and they said his arm is just 'along for the ride,' but he didn't last long and ended up having problems with his lower body because he threw with it.

    Nothing like Sale, obviously, who's thin as a rail, and comes at you from a much more extreme angle. Sale's motion is much more eccentric -- but this was scary.
    But please, will SOMEONE get this guy a pair of pants that fit him instead of making him wear his little brother's pants.
