      If u can work out what you get on your lowest possible month and make a budget for that. Then work out a priority list of what u will allocate any extra money to.
      I have an irregular income so over time managed to save up a full lowest month income. I then put this into my account on the first. I let the income for that month gather up as didn't need it and use it for the next month. This is called getting a month ahead on income. It means I now always know what I will have at the start of each month.

      The only thing I don't understand is the clothing category as a sinking fund. I know it's not a necessary "bill", but does this layout mean you would go shopping once a year if you are just adding til the end? Or is it the way she explained the date night fund, where you can use what you have, and then if you want something grand wait for the amount to roll over. If so, what if you don't have the amount yet but certain items are switched out weekly and you can't wait for the next paycheck.

    I know that if I try not to spend on something, when I finally do I overdue it. So I give myself 20$ a check for clothing. That’s 1 or 2 items a check. That’s it. My wardrobe builds without my killing my bank account. Sometimes I’ll save that weeks to compound with the next check.

I've been trying to do a biweekly budget for some time now but just played everything by ear, just paying whatever, whenever it was due. I also like how you organized them by due date. This makes everything so much easier & organized. Since it's still the beginning of the year, I can start with my next paycheck. I would reccomended making your Christmas sinking fund goal December 1st. If it is not fully funded until mid December then that only gives you about a week to do Christmas shopping. If it is due December 1st you will have that full amount for 3 weeks. (If you make your goal November 15th you will have your goal money by Black Friday and can save even more money😉)

      Andrea Sorondo I pay €1450 🙈 but in the Netherlands single and working parents get money from the government if their income is low.
      I get €1330 from the government as a single mom who goes to school for 40 hours a week (5 full days)
      My girls are 3 and 1 years old. They go 2 days to daycare and my family does the rest (I’m 21)

    • @ladydipset88
      @ladydipset88 4 роки тому

      Its literally the same thing. If you know daycare is $900/month then you basically divide $900 by how many times you get paid a month. You save the money in a cash envelope or if you feel more secure putting it in an account, you can. By the end of the month or the beginning of next month you should have the money already saved and ready to pay the daycare.

      Word of advise especially for the young folk. Get yourself a second job. If you have an extra 3-4 hours in a day that is spent idle, get another job. If you’re in debt, use that second job to pay off the debt using a snowball effect. Even if you’re not in debt, use that money to put into a high yield savings account.
      When I was 19 I got my first apartment and I worked in a hair salon in the day. In the evening time, I worked at Target. The money I made from Target went into a savings account. I never touched that money. Create the habits now of budgeting and living BELOW your means.
