As far as the bead embroidery kits, surprisingly, I like the black and white set. The sequins looked gorgeous. I have purchased many crystals for QIAO store on AliExpress. Very satisfied.
You should become a motivational speaker! You have a way of giving me confidence to try new things and I’ve enjoyed everything I have completed after your videos. Do they look like yours? No! But when I have your experience and knowledge (if that’s possible), I expect to be my very best. Thank you for sharing your skills, ideas most of all for your giving of yourself spirit. May your new year be filled with many, many blessings!
I look at ALL of these and think of how much I just want to play with all of them!!!! I do have quite the bead stash myself including crystals, seed beads (of all sizes & types) as well as natural stone beads of ALL kinds! SO many things you can make with them!!!! TY Susan!!!
Holy moly... I literally just bought my very first bead embroidery kit today, a small elephant brooch kit by Abris to help me learn. I bought some extra Miyuki beads as well to play with, as well as some needles and beading foundation, and then my fave UA-camr uploads this? Such good timing 😅
I was amazed how fast these delivered. I expected the more usual couple months but I got mine yesterday! Every single one of these is a collection of luscious colors & really nice beads.. along with other truly useful goodies. One of the many wonderful things you do for us is showing us budget friendly resources you come across.. like this one! Then show us how to use them to make our own creations. That's how I got my start using polymer clay. The video of yours showing what could be made with a sample box of polymer clay popped up on my menu, I watched it and my addiction was born. Then I began learning from you how to add beads & sequins. All the way to now my skills have grown right along with my passion due to avidly following you. Thank you so much Susan!
I just accidentally found your channel! I dont know how i got here! I used to do some beading and i have not done it for some time. But i think i will again! I have just learned 2 of the handiest things from just the beginning of your video and im so jazzed!
Thank you. I’ve purchased some kits very similar. I always manage to use the beads and sequins. I make small crazy quilts out of crochet pieces my grandmother made years ago (I’m a great grandmother, so you can tell I’m no spring chick😊), satin, unusual buttons collected from family garments, old jewelry pieces and any pretty fabric really. I use the sequins, beads, embroidery floss and just have fun. Usually one of my family puts a “dibs” on a piece in progress. Some have turned out to be quite lovely. I enjoyed today’s video. Thanks again.
Thank you Susan you cannot imagine what a joy it is to find this today, the timing is immaculate. We've just gone back into lockdown in the UK this week, probably until the middle of February. It's time I gave beading a proper shot. The black and white finished earrings are so beautiful. Ali Express should be thanking you!!!
I'm so happy you picked up the idea! I hope many people from all around will try beading after the video! It is very inspiring for me - especially that you showed how to work with sequins! Thanks so much for your video and as always: love from Germany! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Dollar Tree sells (I got extremely lucky when I last went) color sets of seed beads and you get good variety and decent amount. I was able to buy black, green, purple, fuscia and I don't remember the other. Also - Wal-Mart sells two packs of decent size pill containers. I keep my seed beads in them since some are tiny. Beautiful work as always Susan!!!!
I got my notification to say u had posted! I dropped everything to come and watch! I'm not a beading person but ooooh sooo shiny and pretty!! U make it look so easy!!!
Yay, now I have a use for the sequins I have stored. Never thought to use them in beading. Your creativity abounds and you are so generous to share. But darn, now I have to order a few kits too! LOL!
These are really great and thank you for testing them out for us. I always love how you tackle a new adventure. 😊 the examples you made are so pretty. The ones with the Natasha beads and your mud clay beads are my favorite. I love clay too so naturally drawn to them. I had no idea that sequins could ad such texture and so simple. Thank you for all the tips and tricks. Your amazing 😉👏🏻💗
I have more beads than I could ever possibly use and I'm still tempted to order some of these. Yes, I might have a problem! LOL! Looking for a beader's addiction anonymous group!
You know you have a problem when you think to yourself, “If I use these beads, then I won’t have them anymore, so I’ll order more of this color so that I can still have some after I make this piece of jewelry” 💭 So, repeat after me, “ Hi, my name is ___________, and I am addicted to beads.” All I can say is WELCOME to our group. 🤗😃😂
Oh god!!! These were stunning. The technique for sequins and beads can be used as trim for a dress or shirt. You amaze me with your creativity and now I wanna bust out my supplies to try these. Hoping that you have a good year ahead!!!
Excellent video I loved how you showed how to close off the edge on the brooch with the beads! I watched right to the end to see all the great stuff you made.
This is so exciting! I can’t wait to try this! Haven’t seen your new videos! Love the your doll in the beginning- makes you feel so cozy! I always wanted to try beading and you are so good at telling the best things to do and try!

I bet you could make a badazz pair of jeans and or a jean jacket. I can just imagine how cool they would look with your talent. I wish my hands weren't so bad. arthritis is a witch.
I just literally stumbled across your video so intrigued , I need to learn this , I am somewhat of a beader, I must have these kits thanks so much I will definitely subscribe, like and hit that bell
I love what you have done with these kits! The sequin embroidery reminds me of a library book I once had on french sequin embroidery. It was about 3D sequin flowers. I used to embroider them onto velvet headbands. One thing I wanted to ask was: do you remember when you bought all those lovely rhinestones from alie express? Did you make stuff with them, or would you consider making some rhinestone projects? I just love rhinestones!
@@TurtleSoupBeads my apologies - I feel foolish now :) I guess I meant designs where the rhinestones are the feature cabochon and all the support beads as well! Particularly fascinated with the horse eye shape beads. But don't worry if it's not something you want to do - was just a thought.
I just found some awesome beads on a sale a few weeks back, they had sequins in the pack too, and I had NO clue what the heck to do with them (never used them before) so I really needed this video! 💜 Seeing what and how you used them, made me eager to use mine :D I´m SO glad I didn´t throw them away!!! So thank you :) 💜 Sadly, it´s hard to find a seller that will ship to us at Ali Express, and the new rules here makes it, at least, 10 dollars more on whatever you order, so...it´s cheaper to buy from somewhere else....but these kits looked pretty good :)
@@TurtleSoupBeads True, I just really liked two of the sets you showed! lol But yeah, thanks to you I do know what to do with the sequins :D and I will have a lit of fun with them too :) 💜💜💜
I think the "thread" that came with the first kits is the brand of stretch elastic I bought years ago (probably close to 10 years now) and is doing absolutely fine, no signs of getting old or brittle on either the spool or the stretch bracelets. So not good for beading, but I can vouch for it as an elastic, assuming they haven't changed it in that time!
I'd love to see how you made the flower pin with the white kit! I just bought the black set but I'm going back for more 😂 The song you used resembles Ice Castles, gave me old lady memories 👍
Thank you for making this video. Your work is beautiful. I am very inspired and I have been buying a lot of what I need to do bead embroidery. But I am 77 years old and my hands and eyes aren't that good. Also can you tell me where I can order the little wire protecters you use to hook the earrings to the ear wire. Keep up the good work I really enjoy watching.
all the beading companies have them I mostly use www.firemountaingems.com but check out any store , if you have trouble seeing the holes I use a Ott light magnifier it really helps
Help!!! Whoever invented sequins failed to invent a less static cling option. Mine always stick together and it drives me crazy trying to separate them. Any ideas?
Thank you both! I appreciate it, it just seems those I buy locally stick together like crazy. A dryer sheet sounds like a wonderful idea. I use them for delicate tatting threads and they work great, It didn’t even dawn on me to use them for sequins too. Sometimes ones mind runs the opposite direction 😂.
