Halal food is not only pork-free but also the ingredients and tools used. When tools that have been used to cook parts from pigs or dogs, the tools can no longer be used before washing 1 time of ground water and 6 times with clean water. If you cook using tools for ingredients other than that can be washed using clean water only
I think this restaurant basically don't have pork menu in it. So the cooking tools are not mix with any pork. They only sell beer as drink only. Not used for cooking. But still, if you are unsure, better to avoid it.
I love tteokbokki , cause it's easy to find halal tteokbokki, i love tteokbokki chewy texture. Next , i wanna try Bingsu, really similar with ais batu campur.
it's exactly true.. the smell of non halal goat meat penetrates the soul more than the smell of fish or chicken and I had a horrible experience eating it once.. now I will only eat goat meat at halal restaurants because it tastes different and tastier without any bad smell..👌👌
Wong & kim explained non halal chicken, muslim borned be like, what 😅😅?.. yeah coz we never smell, know anything bout it. RM58 for that is worth it.. that's is specialty occasion food, plus its Korean taste, not worth to complain but just enjoy the food, vibe, the korea food itself..
Blood itself of any thing is not halal. (Al maidah 5:3) so Wong's theory is very sound but i had non halal chicken in different country also no smell but no blood either so 🤷♂
the store might sell halal food that cook with halal ingredients, but the present of alcohol might be the limit point for most of Muslim. As in Islam it is better to avoid syubhah (dubious) because we never know that alcohol might be accidently use on the kitchen appliances and overlook how to clean utensils that come in contact with alcohol. The food is not only need to be halal but also toyibbah (good or clean) in term of Islam perspective. Anyway its a good start to introduce halal korean food to Malaysian.
Good to know about the details! The owner confirmed to us that their kitchen staff is muslim and they do not use any alcohol or non-halal ingredients in any of the foods on the menu 😁 Their kitchen is also open concept so the guests are able to see inside the kitchen at all times! They do sell alcohol as there are many Koreans customers who drink
Can u guys review duriankimchi's k garden bbq place?considering that maryam is korean and i believe she imported many ingredients from korea..want to know from kim whether it's worth to try 😁
@@KimandWong they are quite big on utube & TT..yeah u guys should check on them & try their bbq place if got time..i never try but tempted to..pls do a review if u go there 😁
@@KimandWong the owner of the restaurant is a Kelantanese man married to a Korean lady, Maryam. They are quite famous youtubers among the Malay viewers. They just opened a Korean restaurant in KL.
The reason why halal has no gamey smell is that the way they kill the chicken's purpose is to drain almost all the blood, so it has less oxygen to make the meat "rotting" from the inside. Hence there's no dark meat and white meat in the literal sense, and no gamey smell whatsoever. It's also why they last longer when stored. But since it is drained from blood, it weighs less to sell, so people make less money out of it. And some people like blood because it has cholesterol, like pork blood. Some blood can be sold, but most cant. So it's a waste of selling weigh.
Ahhh, too bad. I wish they have branch in Johor Bahru. Would love to try. 😢 Dubuyo, I tried Tteokbokki and Jjajangmyeon. Jjajangmyeon is the worst, in term of look it doesn't even the same. So pale, so I convinced that it's not 100% authentic taste. Ughh
Dubuyo memang terpaling worst i've ever had! I never go there again but I really like Eid Restaurant the authentic korean halal food (the owner is Korean Muslim) but they closed permanently, so sad. Now i only go to Sopoong because near my house.
so knowledgeable couple and fast learner too. so much love for this couple to explore more knowledgeable adventure series between halal mode and the haram mode😂
I passed by this restaurant but I wasn't sure if it is kids friendly. Do they have non-spicy version? I totally agree with you regarding Dubuyo... it's a scam.
Halal is basically sacrifice the animal by saying Bismillah(In the name of Allah), and do it in one sharp move without completely detaching the head. And must drain all of t's blood before processing. Also No pig or alcohol can be used in cooking. It's not that complicated. Halal foods are actually safest to consume.

We call ayam masak kicap, my mom half Chinese, usually cook this. Halal cut they cut on main vein on the neck, so all blood is almost drain, so Muslim believe blood is dirty, so drain from the neck, you get non smelly meat. Is feel fresh when u eat

Hi kim and wong..,
Halal bermaksud bahan yg di gunakan dan penyediaan nya
Pertama ayam lembu kambing antara binatang yg halal di makan. Tp perlu di sembelih dgn cara Islam dan di bersihkan dgn betul
Penyediaan nya pula bermaksud
Tidak boleh memasukkan bahan lain yg tidak halal seperti bagaimana penyediaan soy sauce di kilang nya…. Samada bahan tersebut 100% halal jugak . And…., No wine add in
Dan segala utensil yg di gunakan juga seharusnya tidak pernah di gunakan untuk memasak atau menghidangkan yang tidak halal sebelum nya
