i still think CP9 was the best opponent in all of one piece. Luffy vs Lucci is the best fight in anime. No ridicolous stuff just fistfight to the death. Two Fighter who are quite similiar power level with Lucci having a slight advantage but Luffy has the will to win and save robin. Its beyond great.
I think Luffy was a little stronger, since with Gear Third he almost knocked out Lucci with one blow, and that blow left him so weak that from that point on he was no longer able to go to 100% of his capacity, but yes, I agree with that, it was a fight between two fighters who gave their all without holding back where in the end Luffy won by very little, ending up quite badly, in fact it could be said that the end was even a tie since the two were left They are so hurt that they no longer have the strength to stand up (with the difference that Lucci was unconscious and Luffy was not)
