Because the anime refuses to take a long term break, meaning that to avoid filler, they slowed down the adaptation.

@@phillipwhitfield7890If you want to catch up, watch at least 2-3 episodes everytime you watch. If you don’t want the anime, read the manga, it will take less time and you will avoid all the filler arcs/episodes even if there aren’t that many. Alternatively there is One Pace which takes the episodes and shortens them to make the like the manga. Remember though you can take your time with this series. Ik im late responding but I hope this helps. 🙂
