Urban Camouflage USMC Style (1998)

- This video is a demonstration of the Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT) conducted by the USMC in the 1990s. This specific camouflage was tested by the USMC in 1998 at Camp Lejeune. It is basically a BDU recolored into Urban colors. It was only tested but never officially issued. Instead it became popular among the public and is used in video games, movies, fashion, and other entertainment. Shout out to my friend Raymond a USMC Veteran who works at the CSUF Veteran Resource Center. I made this video for him as he is an awesome friend and helped me a lot during my CSUF days.

I love brent0331! He inspired me as a high school kid to make UA-cam videos when I got older.
Good video. It appears that your camo was more effective at a distance since things tend to essentially fade to a shade of grey in urban environments. If your set was a little more faded, it might be more effective. And another pattern you should try out is subdued urban or night urban camo. Its the same pattern but in a darker grey colorway for night operations. Overall an excellent video. 😎👍
It does work well from a distance! Unfortunately I couldn't film from a distance because I got the cops called on me for looking "suspicious" so I had to stop filming in my neighborhood.
@XC-20K that sucks, hope you were OK. Maybe next time, try finding an abandoned building for testing out your urban set? Or having some of your buddies set up a cordoned off area for you to test out your camo? Hope this helps. 😎👍

Me too! I think it just looks cool. Sure it does not work that well in Urban Areas but its better than nothing.

@@XC-20K it does not perform well under IR. Too much black, no? I think the Czech M95 is quite a bit more effective, especially the woodland one.
It's good for snowy environments with lots of rocks and sticks though!
True! It works well in woodland snow areas, but I would have to wait for winter for that video!

Nah, I don't like grey man. It sticks out during the day in areas that are not concrete or grey color. Remember Urban areas have so many man made colors.

Still looks better than acu pattern
ACU is not too bad in Urban Areas but it still sticks out. ACU works pretty well with adobe made buildings in deserts with the sun out.

I actually did get the cops called on me, even though I was filming in public places HaHa! That's why at the end of the video I had to film in my backyard!
