However the Duckworth Lewis rule for rain effected matches was horrible and also completion of matches in stipulated time was even more bizarre rule !

First match we lost by 9 runs against England 🇬🇧. Australia 🇦🇺 match we lost by 1 run. South Africa match was curtailed due to rain. 30 overs match. We lost in last over. Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 match washed out. Had these been in our favour. We would have qualified for semis.
Sachin played well Azhar scored 313 runs in the tournament, Manoj Prabhakar was the best bowler for India at that time he bowled beautifully in 1992 world cup, problem was bad team selection Kimble should have been there too many debut like jadeja ,kambli subroto Banerjee ,the first two matches Vs eng and Aussies Ravi shastri extra slow batting cost us the world cup

Great memories .. I was just 7 years old .. my uncle used to wake up early to see these matches. He woke me up around 5 am (too early for me considering my age😃) . For me it was like a new world . 5 am in India was too dark but I am seeing a match where it is too bright . That was the first time I came too know about time difference. It was like magic to me . 1992 World Cup was one of my BEST childhood memories. 😍😍😍😍

India was second or third from the bottom. No point in having great players if they can't pull off matches. Not to forget India lost test series 4-0 prior to 1992 wc and performed badly in triangular series as well. Individual performances hardly matter.
