Probably one of the hardest recoveries ever seen on this show and Matt wasn’t even there
Well done 👏
Yep I think so too.
I thought the same, real tough job.
No way
Yeah, I agree, one of the hardest I’ve seen. I bet Matt will evaluate the recovery, and I wish he’d comment on how he’d have done it.
eric you really are an awwesome worker. but that guy in the jeep is an absolute slob and should not be left alone in the dessert as i think he has mental issues.
"I'm not a 100% sure he should be driving..." Eric always keeping it humorous in a challenging situation. Good to see him saving the day again!
Bingo PAL….😂
That was an understatement.
I was wondering if adult beverages may have been involved.
@@OzarkTroutBum and if they are, at what point does the crew take away keys?
Dude should not be off road…. Idiot
I don’t know which is more impressive, that Gladiator’s ability to take that much abuse and keep plugging along as though it never happened, Erik’s recovery skills, or that guy’s ability to get himself into trouble. . .
If you only knew that guy that drives that gladiator the way I do……he really shouldn’t of been driving after that
He looked drunk.
More money than brains often leads to situations like this.
@@heatherbrown1259 pls elaborate don't leave us hanging like that 🤣
Nope, most impressive thing is the Gladiator taillights surviving not breaking.
Having to rescue the same guy, three times in one night tells it's own story. Great job to the team!
Yeah, something tells me that guy might need a new hobby.
@@georgea.9684 This guy's insurance will probably increase also.
Seems to show he needs more experience on the kiddie track.
well....i kinda understand him....just smashed pretty new jeep (mistakes happens) so for sure he cant focus on good driving at that moment....
@@grottu he could have easily prevented it from being smashed in the first place. dude went too close to the edge. id rather shove my jeep up into some bushes then get that close to an edge like that and cause a roll over
I started off wondering how on earth the jeep end upside down. After watching the drive out I was no longer confused. Nice job Eric and crew.
How do you do that
@@simonjohnson7025 easy by driving off road
yes the owner of the jeep was a walking disaster, and should problaly take the bus next time
@@craigtuck1741 why would you wish that danger on all the other buss passengers ? LOL
Matt's lucky to have Eric as 2nd in command, the mans a pro both at the recovery job and a pro on camera. I love watching Matt, but I'm never dissapointed when Eric steps in.
When it comes to a recovery like this. There's a reason Eric is in the driver's seat so technically he's second in command in this situation. And you think your a fan 🤣 🤣
Yes,first class work on that job.
Who’s Eric
@@Hardfacts1 who looked like the leader here? 🤔
@@RealJeep Matts explained it in videos before, Eric's job I think is to basically run the Towing side of winder towing while Matt focuses more of the offroad recovery side of things. He shows up on the channel when Matt goes away or for really big jobs.
Eric sounds mentally and physically exhausted from this recovery. Takes a lot of brain work and contemplating angles to recover properly. Great job Eric!
I liked his concern about the driver being ok and how he said I don't know if he should be driving, kept a cool level head the whole time, awesome work
It's Meth. 100% I have been around addicts for most of my life, and I would bet my life he's an addict. Hard drugs are bad, mmkay. He has meth mouth, his eyes won't focus, he can't stop moving around and his body language and look on his face and eyes are all dead giveaways.
cuz the dude was drunk as hell.
Eric is quite the experienced recovery guy. Between the Banana and Morrvair and that huge rock, he and his team succeeded in righting the Jeep. Good job guys.
Eric is a measured guy. He gets it right with zero drama. He's Matt's senior NCO.
Looked like an impossible recovery, but they pulled it off, amazing work.
Yeah, they don’t get much tighter than this one. Impressive recovery.
Good job Eric 😃👍🏻
I might be missing something but isn't it really dangerous to stand close to these tensioned ropes and chains ?
This represents a perfect example of a “B” team that’s really an insult, because they are equally as capable as the “A” team. I’ve missed Eric. Great job!!
You did a great job getting that rig back on all 4 wheels. Please get all your limbs back in the rig when you are in motion. So many things can go wrong real fast and you will loose a leg. I like your videos and know you guys know what you are doing.
Loose legs get lost! "Lose"... ;)
This should be the top comment, your leg will get loose and then you lose it :)
Great job on the recovery. Some people just have ZERO business driving a 4 wheel drive off road period, and that guy is one of them.
Glad Eric said what we all were thinking after getting stuck a 3rd time. “I’m not 100% he should be driving”
Don't do drugs kids!!!
Just wanted to get his money's worth
@@daithitshao9363 he seemed like a veteran. Possibly a head injury in his past but I wouldn’t go straight to drugs…
Balloon head.
@@ethanh3421 not everyone has to have something wrong with them or be under the influence to act like that. some people are just straight up dumb.
I know Eric doesn't love being on camera, but when he is, it is always a treat!
There was something about this footage that was really unique.. !! Whoever was filming this was really good. Or wide angle lens etc. good job!!
Wow... that's not how you are suppose to land...
We were traveling through Hurricane UT on our way back to Idaho... it was beautiful weather there... we went to check out all the areas.
Thank goodness we didn't need Matt's Off Road Recovery 🤩🥳❤️
I'd been wondering where my fellow Eric had gone to. Guessing he's often doing the regular road tow jobs most of the time, but he often seems to end up on really tricky jobs when Matt is away. His skills & knowledge as well as no fuss attitude always impress the heck out of me. This was one of the toughest technical jobs for awhile I think, but it didn't seem to bother Eric at all. Great support from the rest of the crew too!
I kept thinking Eric was standing in the triangle of death:)
@@WadeMD It's okay, it was an isosceles triangle.😉
It’d be great to see a few more on road tow jobs with Eric.
Wow! That looked like a super hard recovery and Matt wasn’t there! Never disappoints when Eric’s in charge! He handed that recovery like a pro!!!
That jeep engine starting up after being upside down for a time is impressive and then driving out.
The rigging skills were great.
The man for the job. If you can’t be there yourself there probably isn’t a better guy to send out on a job like this.
And that is why Matt calls Eric. Tough recovery. Excellent work Eric and crew!
It's always good when Eric shows up. He's a funny man, and very knowledgeable about recoveries.
One of the most technical rescues. Good job,
"I'm not a hundred percent sure he should be driving ........" ...... Translation ----> I'm 100% sure he shouldn't be driving ........ Well done. And a wonderful display of patience!
Probably one of the hardest recoveries on this channel. Eric handled it beautifully 👍👏
Yep, that was a real tricky one.
Eric is the Clint Eastwood of recoveries. 👍
i hope this comment gets the attention it deserves rofl
Amen!
Eric is probably my favorite of the recovery guys with his no non-sense approach to his work. Also has a good attitude that gives confidence....
Honestly impressed the gladiator took the damage and still drove out. A lot of it was because of the successful recovery
The patience you guys always display is absolutely amazing to me. I always like when Eric shows up
I love videos with Eric in them. He seems like such a cool, laid back guy. It always amazes me how easy you guys make this difficult stuff look.
Editing helps also.
I trust Eric 🤣😂
Reality TV makes the easy stuff look hard, morr makes the hard stuff look easy.
Tools are your best friend
Big time props - That was a complicated recovery and you handled it like a champ. I was impressed - Great Job and great video.
The calm of this gentleman under that pressure is a thing of beauty !
Great seeing Eric on a recovery, its been awhile ! He never fails to show his experience. I'm highly impressed he rolled that Jeep back over without any broken glass. Nice job 👌🇺🇸
WOW! I am really impressed, I did not think that was going to be gotten out, and yes I am not so sure about the Jeep driver! Good Job Eric and crew! 👍💯
Honestly super impressed by how little damage there is considering what happened
I don’t think I would have started that Jeep.
It's probably enough for the insurance company to call it a total loss. Doesn't take a whole lot and that side and there's a ton of sheet metal damage.
@@johndeere8594 About 10 minutes ago I was watching another video with a Jeep on its side. He had to pull the spark plugs and drain the oil that had filled the cylinders, to get the engine to turn over. I was surprised to see this one start that easily.
@@bubba99009 insurance does not cover you offroad.
@@MrGaryGG48 they pulled the spark plugs and drained the oil to save the engine in the long term. you can start them right away but you're going to wind up doing a lot of damage.
Great job, Eric. That guy certainly seemed determined to drive off the edge of the road.
Wow, that was a crazy recovery. Eric did an awesome job. When he rescued me a few months back I was in a bad spot and it took a few different angles to get me out without hitting the rocks but he did great!
Lol you need a frequent rescuee card.
I don't know what is more impressive - Eric's skill or the fact that Gladiator actually started and drove out.
A tip from a guy that spent 20yr's on Puget Sound working with Danforth anchors. A 100lb anchor is good enough to hold a 100ft barge in 4ft swells with a real flat draw in 40knot wind. Completely bury the anchor in the sand or dirt, get the flutes buried completely. Leave the chain out or lock it in some boulders, hook a short loop choker to a block your looking at close to10 tons of hold. There is zero you will be able rescue of that weight. with your rigs to loose it. That anchor will fit in the back, or use 2 smaller ones in v shaped set. This is for a tail hold or a side pull block. Good luck on your adventures in recovery
This wins the most interesting Rescue of the Year Award! Only experience could've done that. Well executed!! Eric is awesome & seems like a real genuine nice guy that really cares. Plus his laugh is great & his jokes are always funny. If he had his own channel I'd subscribe to it & turn on the notifications.
It’s like having a substitute teacher. Always a fun day with or without matt
I'm glad someone voiced concern. Weather his recoveries after the first were just the results of being in shook up, injury, drugs, or some combination of them this guy really probably shouldn't have been driving. With that said I hope he's doing well
This was a risky recovery to say the least and this was a remarkable recovery. I am sure that Matt is well pleased with this outstanding job well done.
Even Matt is absent this crew is great ! Serious and focused on the job at hand 👍🏻good job guys !
Great 👌 recovery!
Eric look like a grand master of recovery. the way he use the rope and run the two winches is god level skills. don't forget driving the jeep open door with one leg on the dirt while still tied on the hook. still can finished it before 11 pm. also he got the old cowboy vibes when talking at the camera. very soothing and assuring. i don't feel worried for them at all. great work on the editing too, the soundtrack is enhancing the overall vibe.
The fact that that thing flipped back over and literally drove off speaks volumes for that vehicle. Trash talk a jeep all you want... That impressed me.
I honestly never comment on videos, but this was too good not to comment on. Great job keeping it interesting but straight to the point! Matt’s lucky to have you to run his machines when he’s not available!
Eric is one of my favorites of the MORR crew. Good to see him again and pulling off such a nice recovery. I am confused if that customer was just shook up from the accident or impaired or just a bad driver, but he seemed to really be having a hard time driving that day.
Write me up I have something for you 🎁🎉
There may have been some stuff wrong with his car by then too (or it just wasn't really up to that trail to start with) - it seemed to be bouncing around way more than the MORR cars.
@@xxwookey
Matt's vehicles are NOT stock or even close!
But I think that jeep truck should have been able to get through that trail with a few bumps and bruises...maybe.
Something makes me think the dude was impaired by something.
I think someone is having an issue with deception. He needs to figure out the width of his vehicle. Just staying as far to the high side as he can get would have prevented him from rolling it and the other sliding-off-the-edge incident he had. lol.
My advice to everyone driving trails you don't know very well is to get out and take a look when you come across a narrow area. Just pull up to it and get out and walk past it and look back at your tire width to see where you need to place your tires. And when it's a sandy area like that, make sure your tires are as far away from the edge as you can possibly get them even if you have to run over some rocks or brush, and if the edge is really soft and you can't get far enough from it, then turn around because the edge can/will collapse as it looks like it did here. Glad he and his dog weren't hurt.
Awesome job guys! That was a good old, old school Matt’s off road recovery!! The new school Matt would have had 3 other of his recovery friends meet him there to help with the job!
Wow! This looked like a crane job. Matt and Eric, in this case, are wizards at their craft.
And THAT ladies and gentlemen, is why i watch this channel faithfully!!!!!!!!
By far the most complex recovery that I've witnessed. Terrific job folks.
Get Matt to give you a bonus Eric!! That was a nice clean recovery and don’t think it could’ve been done any better.. well done!! 💯👌🏼
I don’t think running the gladiator was the best idea due to the amount of oil potentially in the wrong places from being upside down. Either way, great job getting it out
Yea it's never good when all that white smoke comes out the exhaust. Coolant in the motor for sure
@@jacobrogersrazr That white smoke is not coolant in the motor. It's oil that went past rings into combustion chamber and being burned off in exhaust. There is no reason for coolant to end up there if everything is working fine.
@@jacobrogersrazr coolant in the exhaust is steam and dissipates rather quickly. This was clearly oil as it was "grey" and not really white, plus it hung around in the air.
Good to see Eric again in the saddle. The man's expertise is invaluable. His demeanor and sense of humor is a bonus too
We need more videos with Eric! Such a wholesome guy.
I think we all became a fan when he was captain of the SS Golden Nugget.

The best recovery so far, that was fun to watch.
Eric is an awesome recovery man I couldn't believe the jeep ran after being on its top that long nice job Eric and crew
No broken glass, impressive skills by Eric and the crew
That is some pretty impressive work there gentlemen! When i saw it at first, I figured there was no way you were gonna be able to get that out- but with a little ingenuity you guys did a great job! And 3 hang-ups on one trip out- that client deserves a hat too!
One of the gnarlier recoveries in a while. Great work Eric!
Damn, homey really came through with a technical recovery. That suspenseful music was A+ too
Great to see Eric there; Such a cool cucumber and it doesn't seem like much bothers him- like he's seen it all. Cracked up when he seemed amused that the owner had the presence of mind to put the Jeep in park while he was upside down.
Great job Eric, staying calm in difficult situations is a great virtue to have.
Eric is the "man". I love videos where Eric is in charge. He is the pro of pros, he is an "Off Road Recovery Commando".
This guy needs to sell the jeep and get a bus pass 😂😂
I will give him 5 bucks for it, but he has to clean all the crap out of it first.
Crashing your car solo has an impact on you, I’ve been there. I bet it was a long stressful day for him and when the car was back driving he let he’s guard down just from the adrenaline dump. A roll over really messes with your brain even if your physically fine, accidents happen that’s why they’re called accidents lol
@@ilouse Iv crashes my drift car pretty bad, pulled the damaged back out with a truck and went and sent it. I guess some blokes ent made for it these days
Ya that was something else to watch😂 . I understood the first obstacle after getting out but the next 2 were Derrrrrrr moments 😂🤦♂️
Well said.
No drama , or trying to make the situation look worst. Just a true legit recovery. Awesome recovery 👏
Reality TV makes the easy stuff look hard, morr makes the hard stuff look easy.
You’re all Legends and fun to watch. The camaraderie between you all is next level. But Eric, you are one of a kind. Just watched the searching for the mine vid, and backing it up with this…epic. The lazy humour and sneaky grins, makes it great.
Well done on a tricky recovery.

That is an amazing recovery. Great work Eric and team.
If only there was something like a wrecker, an off-road wrecker, the world's biggest off-road wrecker
For what it went through jeep's pretty well off.
No broken glass is a real takeaway given the context of what you found it in. Great job.
One of the most amazing recoveries I have ever seen. Amazing skill!
It's remarkable the Jeep got away with that much damage, and drove out. Nice recovery u guys!
Wow that was one of the most complicated rescues I've seen you guys do. I didn't think it was going to work. Well Done!
Eric...one of the best and experienced recovery operators in the business. Outstanding recovery. Cheers from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺 👍
Nice recovery, guys. It's great to see Eric again on an off-road job. He appears at first to be a bit grumpy until the teddy bear in him shines through. Very knowledgeable about recovery techniques, too. 👍
Very difficult situation. You all handled it fantastically. Matt sure knows who hand the reins to when life calls him away. Thanks for sharing
A well thought through and innovative solution causing the minimal harm all round. Champion effort!
This was one of the best, kudooos to Eric for the way he handled this one
That was an outstanding recovery Eric, it’s no wonder Matt calls you out when he is not in town. Kudos to you and your team, stay safe.
Looks like a good job for a air bag jack used in concert with the winch pulling. Put a air bag under the far side of the Gladiator and inflate to roll it toward the winch force. I love my land anchors and air bag. Great video!
It's always a good day when you see Matt's crew doing a recovery. :)
Literally between a rock and a hard place! That was an excellent recovery and with minimal damage to the Jeep all things considered. Well done!
I learned the hard way that the desert is a bad place to get stuck. Great job with this recovery, very complicated and I am amazed what they can do with just winches and 4WD.
Eric deserves a big round of applause on this one. Many tricks of the trade on display here
That guy shouldn't have been driving. You guys are awesome!
Thank you for being kind and professional when people get caught beyond their abilities. So often nowadays it seems the world just wants to tear us all apart with every mistake we all make.
That was an excellent recovery. Made it look easy, when at first I was thinking there was no way to go to get that out. Then again it was a Jeep so just getting 2 tires on the ground and it drives itself out!
That was an impressive recovery. Way to go guys!
Salute to Matt, Eric, and the team. Nicely done where most would be clueless.
Never thought that was coming out. Then never thought it would drive. An amazing recovery.
Incredible job Eric!!! Your patience and good nature was evident throughout the video!! A+++
What a great professional recovery. What a great crew !!.
All I can say is Matt damn lucky to have you great recovery guys and great video! nice to see Eric helping out!👍🏼🤩💪🏼
Eric’s sense of humour is awesome, really enjoy his appearances
Eric's personality makes watching these videos that much more entertaining
If the two winching vehicles are of similar weight, could you soft shackle two snatch rings together and have those rigs pulling toward each other while redirecting 90 degrees sideways? It would be a floating winch point anchored by the other winching vehicle.
Interesting idea!
iirc the morrvair is at least 1000lbs heavier than the banana
@@1119benjamin yeah those two rigs wouldn't be evenly matched for this idea. But if someone and their Banana wheelin' friends ever need more pulling power, it just might be a weird enough idea. Anchoring one or more vehicles would also help if you really needed to redirect from that spot specifically.
That was the first thing I was thinking
Tight spot to get out of for sure. That's one way to test the toughness of a Jeep. I'd like to see someone design a recovery "airbag" to help lift/roll/protect in cases like this.
I marvel that you guys keep your cool, and never say anything derogatory about some of your customers!
When they show the jeep upside-down, it is easy to imagine anyone ending up in that kind of situation. By the end of the video, it is easy to imagine how that particular person ended up in that situation.
