Seems i'm only who thinks Pie is ok update.. For me it fixed the damn phone.. Wifi and Bluetooth are finally working normal, battery life for my usage is longer?! Don't know , maybe i'm crazy but i finally feel this phone works normal like it should in first place..
I don't know man but my xz premium G8141 is just fine as new with android pie, we finally got full hd on super slow motion 960fps and the new animations when opening apps, the camera app now it's well organized, the battery little bit good with the new adaptive battery that restricted any unused apps for a long period of time, the volume works fine with new small design near where it should be put, All things works fine like it was in oreo and better. This is what I experienced with android pie.

I am puzzled how did that green screen happen, it should never happen unless the bootloader is unlocked!! Don't flash anything right now, the first thing you should do is charge your phone to at least 90% and then use Xperia companion to do a 'software repair' that will fix your camera problems. Still surprised how did that green screen happen without a bootloader unlock, for flashing stock firmware very safe and you need not unlock the bootloader.
If you happen to download right from Xperifirm, the process is even more simple, the freshly downloaded files are not in .ftf format just yet. Once Xperifrm finishes the download, close it. After you close Xperifirm, flashtool will automatically start creating .ftf file, you don't have to do anything, everything will be in the correct folder, just wait for it to finish. Once it finishes just flash the downloaded firmware on your phone using the same settings I used. But keep in mind, Xperifirm downloads the firmware directly from Sony's servers, so if they update Taiwan version to Pie, then it will download Pie instead of Oreo. Then you will have to flash the French firmware from xda.

The Sony Xperia Companion will install the latest version available for your device, so you won't be able to choose which version.

Nope, there is no need to unlock the bootloader because the ROM we are flashing is official ROM from Sony. You can flash stock ROMs as it is.
