The Ed Sullivan Show was a television variety program that aired on CBS from 1948-1971. For 23 years it aired every Sunday night and played host to the world's greatest talents. The Ed Sullivan Show is well known for bringing rock n' roll music to the forefront of American culture through acts like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. The entertainers each week ranged from comedians like Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield, to Broadway stars Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, to pop singers such as Bobby Darin and Petula Clark. It also frequently featured stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5. The Ed Sullivan Show was one of the only places on American television where such a wide variety of popular culture was showcased and its legacy lives on to this day.

She's 91 & I'm still in love with this girl.
💯. I'm over the Finian's Rainbow for this Beauty and her Equally Lovely Beautiful Voice.
So poised!
The gentleman on piano is Frank Owen’s, Petula’s accompanist and musical conductor from 1965-75. Frank and Petula remained friends. Frank died last April in a car accident at the age of 90.
Petula’ s husband of 63 years, Claude Wolff died last month.
Thoughts are with Petula.
I CANNOT RECALL HER VOICE EVER SOUNDING MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN THIS.😊
GENERALLY SPEAKING, ED'S GUEST'S PERFORMANCES ALWAYS SOUNDED BETTER TO ME THAN THEIR STUDIO RECORDINGS, AS DID THE ORCHESTRATIONS AND ARRANGEMENTS. THE ACOUSTICS OF THAT STAGE AND THE AUDITORIUM WERE INCREDIBLE!👍👏
Only comment so far to highlight the orchestration. I very much agree with what you say, very rarely the technical and artistic quality of the program team was not up to par with the guests, perhaps quite the opposite...
I agree.💯

As a token of my appreciation for
your nice response, Google Robert Goulet on STORY OF A STARRY NIGHT on the Dimitris004 and daughter channel, and both videos of Danny Williams on the same son g, on the
Felixbautista channel, where I posted some poetry to go along with the song. Cheers!😊😊

As a token of my appreciation for your response, please Google the videos i suggested to the other person who also responded.
Cheers. 😊😊
Oh my how Pet Clark can sing - she’s up there with Karen Carpenter in possessing a soft, gentle soothing voice! No one in R&R can match her today.
One of the best artists of the 60s and one of the best female singers ever
Petula had lots of different looks, and they were invariably beautiful.
I didn't know it had words. Charlie was so talented! It's a great movie, and the lyricists wrote beautiful words to this music! Thank you, Petula for singing it.😌💖
He got disgusted with his native country and went onto self-imposed exile in Switzerland!
BRAVO! 🤗
What a voice, stage presence, and class... almost all of which is lacking in today's "singers"! 😔
Такая замечательная песня!.. но уже через 2 часа после публикации, 7 человек поставили дизлайки. Не понимаю этих людей.
They Don’t Know Quality and Classy Performer’s when They See and Hear Them !!! They must Have Very Poor Taste ! 😊
What a voice and she looks so beautiful ❤
Petula has a beautiful voice.
She is best suited to be singing Eternally.
Thank you Petula.
Our Pet! Gorgeous lady with a beautiful voice! God bless her.
I love Pet!
Beautiful lady, beautiful voice, beautiful song. ❤
Thank you! Always loved Petula! ❤
She is so lovely...
Sweet Petula.
Beautiful
Petula is my love forever ❤❤❤
Love her!!
Thanks for another Petula classic song video!
Have a great day!
This song reminded me a bit of Always. I'll be loving you, always....
From her 1967 album "These Are My Songs" BUT the album is not on Apple iTunes.
Great album! It's my favorite Petula album, after Memphis.
I had this beautiful ballad by Petula in one of her vynil LPs in the late 60s if I'm not mistaken. There's a Spanish version of the same song called "Candilejas" first done by Brazilian José Augusto, Julio Iglesias, José José, among others.
I ❤ watching The Ed Sullivan Show 💘💘💘💘💘💘💘
My gosh, what a voice.
Ed Sullivan, the goat no cap
Like Petula's Top Ten record from earlier in the year, "This Is My Song"; "Eternally" is another beautiful love song with music composed by legendary film comedian Charlie Chaplin. It was the theme to his 1952 movie, "Limelight". The lyrics were written by Geoff Parsons and John Turner. Thank you for this wonderful video!
Beautiful Song , Lovely Voice !!
Apart from this , I believe the only Petula song not posted on the Sullivan channel is No One Better Than You from 11/2/69, which was her current single. Petula' s 2 other songs from that episode were Fill the World With Love from Goodbye, Mr. Chips and her stunning take on Fool On the Hill.
Correct-I cannot find a place to purchase her recording of Fill my world with Love anywhere!
Engelbert Humperdinck also recorded a great version of the song.
And He Sang It Beautifully !!!
Thank you. I thought I had heard this song before. But I couldn’t remember who else had sung it.
Petula Clark Forever 🌈💓💕💞💝💗💖💘
❤

Absolutely oh so beautiful ❤️
Perfection ! What a star!
this makes me so emotional , so many thoughts come to mind about my family and my past .
I love ❤️ her so much thanks a + from France 🇫🇷
Wonderful song and wonderful artist. Wonderful renaissance man, Charlie Chaplin, unfortunately too much a playboy for this song to apply to him.
❤❤❤❤
❤❤❤
Boa noite😌😌😌
Looked solidly hot back then though
Linda Ella Eternamente. 😏 Jajaa
Every upload does not need to be “notify me” 🙄
I agree
😊
The last decade in which the world possessed class from the adults from the WW II generation! The baton of leadership was passed onto a new generation (Baby Boomers) and they unfortunately dropped it without realizing it!
Sweet so y
never heard this song before...never will again
was she photoshopped to look like taylor swift?
No. This is what you call original, un edited, un pitch corrected genuine talent and natural beauty.
❤
