I remember how it became trendy to separate the tub from the shower. It's nice to go back to a space efficient multifunctional design that was never broken. Now to convince everyone that the range stove is fine.
Range stoves are fine! When we do our kitchen reno next year I plan to replace our freestanding range with a slide -in range.

Gorgeous, love the vertical tile you picked. I have the same travertine tiles in our shower, hate them. We are doing a bathroom remodel next year and I think I will steal your tile 😉

Beautiful transformation. I have very dark stained 35-year-old Thomasville bedroom furniture that I’ve always wanted to replace but now you have me rethinking that I could lean into it and incorporate it into a Japandi style.

The specs for the floor and wall tile are in the description but here's the link to the manufacturer's website: www.emser.com/ I've purchase mainly through ProSource www.prosourcewholesale.com/ (they sell to homeowners as well as trade pros) and Home Depot, Lowe's and other smaller retailers carry their products as well.
It is a nice upgrade but I have had windows in showers before and the window frame getting a regular soaking causes lots of trouble with rot in that external wall and window frame. Any thoughts or tips on that? In addition, how do you create privacy with that window? With textured glass or? When it comes to bathroom windows, what are your suggestions for the best way to let light in while managing both of these concerns?
It's a challenge for sure. We thought about closing it in somewhat and just leaving a smaller window up higher but it was a lot of hassle (hello, HOA) and expense. Right now we have the lower 2/3 frosted for privacy. It's an operable window so lots of nooks and crannies. We really have to stay on top of it. I would say try not to have a window in the shower but if you must, keep it above the level of the splashing water. Otherwise, I would say install a fixed window that easier to clean and make sure it's well sealed inside and out.

I get the best light in my studio and I love a crisp white shirt!
