Truly, you are a creator. I envy your creativity and the satisfaction and the pleasure you must feel while shaping, bending, twisting and forming of your pieces. A hammer of inspiration! Thank you, SkipRay.
I am officially impressed. The skill needed to design the initial template for all the pieces to make such a good end result is way beyond what I could do! The end result is so good that it looks like something way more than the sum of the parts that went into making it. I hope to learn to weld (with electric) to an acceptable standard, this shows that you have years of practice!
There are many videos on youtube but this is by far the greatest. Thanks Joshua.
Thank you Patrick. Cheers J
Masterfully done. I bought a smaller light duty mig gun for my everlast welder that would be perfect for multiple spot welds like this project.
Now that is shear artwork - brilliant and very skilful - wow!
Thanks Trevor!
amazing results ,,, very nice result
Thanks for the inspiration. I've been making yard of art with a harbor freight welder out of scrap for about a year now. I'm doing okay getting a decent bead out of the thing. I'll get a decent rig eventually. I've been into it long enough to think it's a wise purchase Lol. the head came out awesome. Thanks for sharing
Cheers Eric! In my home shop I've got a cheap tig welder which is nice and therapeutic to use after working in the day. Its nice to have time creating my own stuff. All the very best. J
Wow that's a nice anvil. Lol. I think they're all nice. Amazing sculpture too!
Cheers William! I think its called a strikers anvil if it doesn't have a bick. Its good and heavy with a hard face. J
Very good job ! Nice Art, great and your movie is very good too ! Amazing ! I will keep watching your chanel for sure !
Thank you so much! Do check out my stags series. I hope to do more forging videos like that again soon. Cheers J
That is awesomely impressive good sir! Thank you for sharing the experience with us.
Blessed day sirSir, Crawford out.
Thank you Daniel!
Great sculpture. Thank you for sharing your talent.
Thanks Jim!
Very cool design, looks great. And I gotta give you credit, you have very good welding skills. Very talented.
Thank you Tim! That's very kind of you. Cheers J
Thats amazing Joshua
Thank you Darwin!
I ordered the pattern and look forward to making this sculpture. Thanks!
Thanks Jim. I look forward to hearing how you got on. Cheers s J
...wow. When we met, you told me you did some black smithing. It was only later I learned I had met someone so amazingly talented. Modesty doesn't tend to follow this level of skill...
That is very kind of you to think so. The truth is there are many far greater than I that I can only wish to be the same level as. Its only because I do this every day I can do it well. Cheers J
Spectacular and inspiring
Thank you!
Beautiful work!
Thank you so much!
I love this unicorn head !
Thank you. Cheers J
Josh......... YOUR A BEAST, sir 😱
Thank you!

Just been on Etsy to purchase the patterns for this project...Thank you very much!

Keep up the great work
Bren
Thank you Been! If you have any trouble please do say. I'll be making another video on the same horse with detailed guidance based on the feed back I've been given so far. Take care and thank you for supporting me. J
how did it turn out?
Excelente obra de arte amigo, felicitaciones.
Gracias Wilson!
Fabulous - Thanks for sharing! Sure wish I had access to a water jet.
I had them CNC laser cut locally. Thank you so much. J
Awesome looks great. Subscribing
Very nice work
Thank you. Cheers J
Really nice. Ditch the horn though. I'll look forward to giving this a go, cheers.
Thank you. It was for a Scottish client and their national symbol is the unicorn after the thistle. Apparently I didn't make the horn long enough though so they called it an English unicorn... Cheers J
roughly what id guessed ,,, great job youve done there ,,,
Thank you!
Love your work . i'll love to see a real tutorial on this build . Going to make one for my wife .
Thank you so much. I've got one cut ready to do more in depth tutorial soon just like the stag and long horn. Cheers J
@@joshuadelisle Hi Joshua. Any update on this tutorial? Struggling to follow your build from the video.😃
@@michaelfalkson3118 yes I've got it ready for filming next however I've been roped into some large scale commissions. Do check out Gary Hustons videos on my horse. He did a good job filming his progress. All the very best. Cheers J
Buenisimo amigo. Una consulta. Como puedo generar un plano para hacer cualquier figura ?
Im going to try cut the template with the oxy torch... clean it up with a die grinder...
Ideally 1.5mm is a good thickness however oxy acetylene will worp it a fair bit. You'll be better to use an electronic hand held metal shears which give a very clean cut. All the very best. Cheers J
@@joshuadelisle thanks josh. What about a jigsaw with a carbide blade?
@@djdanzy that works too but very slow. Check out my ram skull video as I use one In that. I also tried a nibbler in another video but other than CNC lasers/plasma I would recommend the shears. Ps I've just built a cheap CNC plasma table and it works Great. Video coming soon. Cheers J
I always thought this type of work could only be performed using a powertig. I'm going to try making something simple using my everlast mig welder.
Thank you Nathan. I hope to do another video on the horse soon using all 3 common welding methods, MIG, Tig and stick. Cheers J
Hi Joshua
It says downloads in the descriptions, cannot find em ?
Хорошая работа!
Спасибо!
Awesome
Does anyone know the music in the last section? I am getting the templates and I will be making this.
Dead-set Legend!!!
That's nice of you to think that!
You could do with getting a smaller mig gun like a mb 15 would be much more suite to this kind of work
Hello, after finishing (polished) what brand of product do you recommend, so that it does not rust?
Sir need template, amazing work
Great video,
Can the metal be cut by anything else besides a laser cutter?
I would like to give it a go, but have no access to that type of cutter. Was thinking a metal bandsaw.
Received your bottle opener, works great. Thanks for sharing your process.
Hi thank you so much! You can. I've used a jigsaw with a bi metal blade, a nibler drill bit attachment, metal shears, band saw, chisels and hole drill bit. Etc. I might do a video on the cutting options. Cheers J
Hi! I’ve seen a Russian using a TIG to make the same art. I see that you’re using a MIG welder. Have you already worked with the other technic? Which one is better for this work? Greetings from Brazil
It maybe personal preference. I like to use TIG but I've also stick welded a horse head too. MIG is good for fast long welds, Tig is very neat and quicker to sand back if needed, stick is more readily available and cheap to use and works well if done right. Cheers J
I have welded some art like that but you do a much better job. I like how you were able to make the welds vanish. You do need a CNC plasma cutter.
I would love a cnc plasma but I have no were to put it. our local laser cutter does a good job and cheap enough if I reach the minimum order. cheers J
fantastic work joshua ..can u help me ? found your picture of the horses head on Facebook and chased up the file..just bought it ..got it printed in a3 at a printers ...but looks so much smaller then what you show on your youtube video . i had it printed straight from the file 1.1 ? does it need to be 2.1
Hi Toby. It should be the same size as the unicorn video which is half the size of the large one I made.
Super
Thank you. Cheers J
Hi Joshua, Love your horse head! I bought the plans, they are in 2 files. My question is what size is this. I realize they can be adapted but as a point of reference, could you give me a dimension of one of the parts so I can CNC plasma cut them? As an example, what is the width of the cheek? Thank you sir!
Hi Jeff. You should be able to use the PDF as a reference for scale. If not let me know and when I'm in the office I can grab a dimension for you. Cheers J
Hi. What software do you use for 3d modeling?
I use Google SketchUp pro and SOLIDWORKS. Cheers J
Hi your work and talent us amazing I'm a big fan. I was wondering if you had the template file link for the sculpture available I can't seem to see it in the description thanks
Hi Mike. I don't know how you got to see this but this video is currently unlisted as I'm still doing final adjustments to the design.... Thank you so much for your interest, I'm hoping to publish the templates soon and I'll definitely let you know.
@@joshuadelisle thanks look forward to hearing from you take care

Sir,what amperage and voltage are you using to MIG-weld your magnificient Horse Head ? It's a great job! Syabas and salute to you !!!
I'm doing a new video shortly unboxing a new mig welder. I got it to do more sheet metal work at home so I'll give the settings I use for the sculptures in that video. Cheers J
Nice. Subscribed. What gauge steel to you work with?
2mm mild steel
Excelente 👏👏👏👏👏🇦🇷

Hi. It depends on finish options and delivery but can be between £1k-2k. Cheers J
Where can I get the patterns from
Hi. Links should be in the description. Cheers J
how thick is the steel
2mm mild steel
Some nice sculpture you have there!
Very curious how you turn your 3D models into 2D models for plasma cutting.
Is it possible that you can share that knowledge?
I keep the designing part close to my chest to retain USP. but thank you. J
How much would you sell a horse head for please ?
Hi David. I sell my full size horse heads fully finished on a plinth for £2500

😮😮😮🤨🤨🤨😃😃😃😃😎

Less when you've done a couple lol

Just a thought
@@tomthompson7400 I'm working on a dragon definitely. I'm releasing a stag first. Cheers J

This video is useless.
Impossible to follow...
If this isn't enough for you I can recommend Gary Hustons videos as he did a great job. I will be doing a new video just like my stag and long horn with more description sometime soon. Cheers
