I fell in love with GIT in the black bottle 1 year ago and i'm on bottle 2 safe to say for me as a 30 yr old man who's tried most of them, that there are really no substitutes still the greatest.
By far, my favorite two Creeds. Bois Du Portugal, to me, is a masterpiece. I have never seen any other brand even come close to cloning it either. Quality, even with the newest bottle, is still great. GIT is also great but does have some clone options that are relatively close(not as classy, though). I love GIT but I also can get tired of it at times. My personal top 5 CREEDS: BdP: 10 GIT: 9.8 Aventus: 9.1 Hymilaya: 8.9 Royal Oud: 8.6
Years ago, when I owned and wore Bois du Portugal, I felt absolutely ravishing. It felt like a luxury and prestige that I hadn't experienced in my tough working class upbringing. I wanted so much to embody this aura of sophistication and class in my late 20s, to distance myself from what seemed to be more pedestrian and coarse. I bought into the myth of Creed, hook line and sinker, and wore a number of their fragrances, with Bois du Portugal seeming to be the culmination of what Creed offered. 16 or more years later, I would then discover the work of Patricia de Nicolai, and her New York Intense would turn out to be an even more refined approach to this style, at least to my nose, feeling even more refined and elegant. However, Bois du Portugal will always be a fond memory of a time that I was searching myself, before all the wisdom, when everything was new and exciting, in terms of my exploration in fragrance and in the world in general.
I only own Bois du Portugal and have never smelled green Irish tweed . Absolutely love Portugal and I’m sure I’d love the other. Might have a smell next time I’m in selfridges
I'm a Fougere guy so Bois du Portugal is an easy winner for me. And "The Bois" is indeed a Fougere, regardless of what Fragrantica calls it. I concede that to the broader public Green Irish Tweed would be the winner. I really love Green Irish Tweed also. Both Bois du Portugal and GIT rank extremely high in my 300 fragrance collection. Bois du Portugal #3 overall and GIT #10 overall. Bois du Portugal remains the smoothest fragrance I've ever put my nose to. Absolute gentlemanly class. Green Irish Tweed is Also top notch, red carpet classy, but since I'm a Fougere guy (GIT is NOT a fougere) The Bois is my personal favorite.
I got both now, a tester of GIT and just bought a 50ml of BDP and i Agree with this, GIT and BDP really is creed, its the two that lasts the longest, smell most classy and unique so yeah, but for me BDP just got that extra touch of uniqueness
I'll never understand the "smells too old" criticisms of fragrances. They either smell good or not. I was in a department store about a month ago and made my way over to the fragrances. I sampled 5 or 6 men's fragrances and I thought that all but one were unwearable, and the one that wasn't awful I would not have considered purchasing. I thought to myself "is this what young people think smells good?" I suspect so, and I realize tastes change, but things that are of real quality (i.e. cars, music, movies...fragrances) are never dated. And thank goodness for that.
I brought BDP and GIT when I first got into Creed, and never can I find the right situation to wear BDP. It's a not versatile at all, even though I love it.
Keep talking Bois du Portugal down. UA-cam influencers such as yourself can help reduce the price of a fragrance that is, in my opinion, absolutely the best. Love it. Green Irish Tweed? What? Leave it.

You now have to try the vintage batches, the clear bottles with the fuzzy logos are the best so I’ve heard

Two great creed fragrances, which I also own in my collection.
Thanks I agree.

Both absolute bangers!

What’s your #1?

Both are excellent! I have both as vintage versions in my collection 😊
Thank you!
Aventus and green irish tweed which is better and high performing?

Awesome video Dan and a great showdown. To me both are winners and if I had the money, I would own both.
Thank you
How does Green Irish Tweed compares to PDM Greenly?
Bois du Purtugal
His name is Smelly...*MR*....Smelly. Thank you friend for the great content, informative fun and entertaining. 😄
Thank you very much. I really appreciate it.
So 2 mid fragrances then. A 7.5 and a 6. I only wear fragrances for likeability so I smell good to other people, so that's all that matters.
I brought BDP and GIT when I first got into Creed, and never can I find the right situation to wear BDP. It's a not versatile at all, even though I love it.
It’s very versatile, you can wear it in any weather with any wardrobe…..I think you’re overthinking it believing you have to dress up to wear it.
Do you think Guerlain Shalimar is good for a man to wear? Would you wear it?
Yes, Shalimar is unisex. I wear it.
Thanks.
Both are definitely not for the young bucks. Gotta be minimum age of 40+. I rock both, & absolutely love em!!! Not sexy scents, but just amazing.
33 and I have both, the man makes the scent….the scent doesn’t make the man
1) my man that velvet suit is pure fire and 2) this is a fragrance sofie's choice you've set us up for ;😅
Thank you!
Seeing no Royal Oud in the Vs is depressing :p
Also a great fragrance.
Bois de Portugal vs Floris No.89?
Bdp, I own both but floris is not on the same level
Cool water was created before Green irish tweed
No it wasn’t
😳 is that me turn up backstage haha 😆
