    I was trying to find a video of recipes using the supercolor powders from suncore.
    My initial plan was to just skip through until that part, but you are so good at entertaining that I couldn't help but watch the entire video!
    All the love ❤

    I'm only halfway through the video so far, but i did see on a baking blog that this woman uses 1 to 2 tsp of cocoa powder per cup of buttercream as a jumpstart to help deepen the colors, and to offset the bitterness from red food dye without turning it into chocolate buttercream!

      I often do this with royal icing, too, but I find it does taste like chocolate.

      @neroshin - thanks for sharing adding cocoa powder, it makes sense. I'll try it.

    This is a fantastically helpful video for someone just getting into the more decorative side of baking. I do wish you had tasted all the buttercreams and not just the most colored ones, so you could tell us at what concentration they started getting bitter.

    Good to know, I've seen adds for suncore and was close to buying some a few times. I assumed there would be some taste-transfer but knowing how they react as well helps a lot.

    A few reviews on Amazon indicate that from their experience, the beet colorings beet taste, dissipates in the finished baked product after 24 hours. Guess I'll find out as I'm baking a red velvet cake today to eat tomorrow.

    Some might have called the beet buttercream, beetercream

    • @dougtalks
      @dougtalks 4 роки тому +1

      Now I'm a little disappointed in myself for not calling it that. Maybe next time...of course there won't be a next time because beetercream should be avoided at all costs.

    Why is the guy a part of this? I don’t think his commentary added anything.
