I’d argue that when Callen, Sasso and D’elia did 10 minute podcast they were peak funny. Whens he hooked up with The Fighter HE kinda started going down in my opinion. At least quality wise. He was one of the funniest people ever on MAD TV too. Many of those people springboarded into stardom.

Callen wasted his life on stand up when he could have focused on acting. Even though he did a lot of cheesy dramas he actually stands out in memorable performances.
If they had any sort of talent, there could be a path to redemption. But since they have no talent whatsoever, nobody wants them at their clubs, roasts, podcasts, restaurants, Ubers, various schools, etc.
You’re right about how he got on the GBs. He was acting but no one knew who he was. I’ve never seen his standup. I just know him from the Hangover movies.
i understand why Callen is annoyed, he did work hard for a long time without any meaningful reward, and then the moment he starts to get a bit of momentum and books a role on a tv show a lot of people, his work comes crash down with the allegations. but if you zoom out, he was never that successful in acting, the signs were already there that it wasnt going to work out. and that show he sold to netflix sounded horrible. so theres no guarantee he would be better off now if the grape allegations never happened. he needs to be thankful he can still make money doing podcasting. it pays well and its not that hard. life isnt that bad for him. he needs to get real.
