I had a Mrs Morton teach me all through infants school here in England, she was a huge influence on my creativity even though I was so young! I loved her.
Your simple vacation looked wonderful and relaxing, the best kind in my opinion. I loved seeing a few sights of what I've always been told are the 40 shades of green of Ireland 🇮🇪 💚🧦🧶
Thanks for sharing your pictures of Ireland. I live in the States currently. My ancestors come from both the north and south of Ireland. Love the shawls!
Ruth, your photos and video were perfect 🥰 I really enjoy seeing places I've never been and you all looked like you were having so much fun. A low key vacation is the best. Your Ballyclare shawls are beautiful. I will look forward to the pattern release. Susannah

Thank you Ruth for a lovely drive through Ireland. Loved every minute of the drive and the entire podcast! Your shawls are gorgeous! Thank you so very, very much for knitting Ballyclare. I decided to knit a matching cuff for Ballyclare, so was knitting on that as I watched. (The cuff will be included in the pattern.) Ballyclare will be published in Ravelry on September 8. With a very nice discount, I might add. Love and Irish hugs from Canada. ☘❤🍁
Sounds like a lovely trip. We aren't anywhere near fall here in Texas, although today was only 100°F. It's been triple digits for more than 3 months. It's hard to think sweater weather.
So happy your vacation was a success. Funny, I have had those same experiences when trying to take a picture os a sign while traveling. Rain, wind show and once even a buffalo trying to photo bomb me. Not to worry I jumped back in the car and patiently waited for him to pass.
Your shawls are beautiful Ruth and those in the book, well wow I aspire to be able to make one of those. The yarns you showed have got my spending juices running lol. We were away with our church for a long weekend this weekend and got plenty of knitting and nattering in so thoroughly enjoyed myself as well as good fellowship. See you next week.
I could listen to you chat all day - I love the NI accent as it reminds me of my grandad ❤He was from Belfast and my mum who is now 87 was born there but came to England age 4 in 1940. I have visited NI and the south and the scenery is breathtaking it certainly is the Emerald Isle ☘️
Thank you so much for sharing your holiday with us. We’re not going away this year so it was wonderful to share yours! Your knitting and souvenirs are awesome ❤
Lovely podcast as always. Ireland looks a lovely place, my maternal grandmother who passed away when my mother was a child, came from Munster, l keep promising myself to go, one day… I recently purchased a book of shawls that l thought you would love, its titled, The little book of Haps, and its a collaboration from Kate Davies Designs, l have picked one for this years advent calendar, looking forward to Winter already! ♥️🧶

I really enjoyed seeing your vacation photos and video. Such a beautiful country! I also have Celiac disease so I feel for your husband' and his difficulty finding food that he could eat. It can be tough for us!!
@@ruthlovestoknitpodcast I like hand sewing, cross stitch and small items mainly and I am actually knitting easy wee pencil cases for a mission group to take out to Romania. Nothing complicated. Keep the podcasts coming they're a blessing. Ann

My daughter was in ireland in 2021 and she brought me back a skein of Sonos. I am trying to make socks out of them as to me its quite scratchy.
Lovely podcast x
Believe it or not we went on a prominent river cruise on the Rhine River last year and the cruise line weren't the best at GF either! I managed but it can be very dicey sometimes.
It is just not acceptable now. Plenty for vegans but not for those whose health could be affected.
I thought you said, "Get out of the moat" which fit with the blue green colors in the yarn.😂😂😂
I love the video of Ireland, thank you for sharing.
Who was the name of the person who has those project bags?
Thank you for sharing. Love the lady in the rocker. 😊
Knitter bag.
Just found you really enjoyed the podcast x
Thanks. X
Where do I find the pattern for the Ballyclare Shawl, your yellow one is so beautiful? I also loved the videos from your vacation. ❤️
It isnt out yet. Hopefully September x
I LUV the description of your plane ride! I think there'd be a real problem if they decided not to let the ladies knit on planes in Ireland!!!! 😅 With those long metal needles to hand, what hijacker would even dare consider taking over?! ❤xo
Yes! If they allowed needles ...problem solved.
