Recording a Reading Passage with Audacity

In this video, I show you how to record yourself reading a passage for your students, and then 1) edit it to get rid of pauses and errors; 2) apply some effects to make it sound better; and 3) export it as an mp3 file.
I record many reading passages for my adult ESOL students, and some for my k-12 students, depending on their level. Listening and reading is very helpful for developing both reading and listening. Yes, that sounds like "no, duh", but it is much more than it sounds. Seeing the word while listening can help the brain figure out what it is hearing.
Future related videos will show how to change the speed of recordings and how to add audio to Google Slides.
