Hello! I thoroughly enjoyed your video! Your bags of Fallen Leaves are gorgeous ❤. I’m in the UK and have just rekindled my wax melt hobby, so I’m totally inspired by you. The fun you have making them comes across so well. I totally understand that….experimenting and creating, with the view to selling, what could be better? So I’ve subscribed and am looking forward to more of your videos….I know I’d buy your melts 😊, Dawn xx
😂 You can tell your husband I thought the same thing about the "maple" leaves too! All I could think was "Oh, that poor woman. She doesn't realize..." 🤣🤣 Love the video (as always).
I made melts for my familiy. I love my cute little siliconforms. I use for packing cheesepaper and no color or glitter in the soyamelts. And only natural oil. All are very happy with this, and I too.
I thought they looked like cannabis leaves, too. Good that you double checked. Was kind of hoping you would add a light green in there, for the full spectrum for fall. But Wow, how adorable! Hopefully these helps. I like burning wax melts better than candles, also. Lukewarm, just walk away... 😅😂😆😉😅 Crackin up! 💕 it! Cheers 👍🤗
"If you're lukewarm, just walk away." 🤣🤣🤣 Girl, you crack me up! I love the new wax melts! This is such a cute idea. So many possibilities! Fingers crossed these sell like hot cakes!
Met a vendor at friendship that has met you and said exactly what I thought about you. A pure sweet lady. Love that idea. When I first started making melts that’s what I wanted to do but as you say it takes more time. Maybe I’ll try it again as I have a whole Tupperware of molds lol. ❤
really Maureen?! Wow, small world! And thank you (both LOL) for the lovely words 💕💕💕 These certainly do take a lot more time, fingers crossed it pays off! I had to cut myself off from ordering more until I test these out - not quite as addictive as fragrance oils but I can see getting myself in trouble with them 😂🤓
Hahahaha Tammy, your so funny! Why do these things come outta my mouth! LOL well when you first pulled those leaves out i was thinking awe she's so innocent! Haha then when you started unmolding them they really do look like maple leaves! 😂 but really do love your packaging they all look great! I think i prefer the wax melts because I'm afraid to catch someone's house on fire with candles! And of course all the testing it looks like has to be done with candles. That's the main reasons I haven't attempted to make a candle.
Hey Melissa! Yeah, well I’m probably more innocent than at 50+ year old should be LOL 😂. I am giving candles another few months but if they don’t start selling better for me I’m giving them up. The insurance along is about $150 MORE per year. So my profits really have to be good to make up for all that, then add in the expense of testing - I’m not sure it’s worth it. We’ll see what this holiday season brings. Thanks for watching as always 🧡
I love this idea! I have a whole box of wax sitting unused and a craft fair coming up! PS: Those are definitely pot leaves, btw. :) and I love them!!! Will you be at the Center Grove Fair?
I've left a candle going all night long twice this year! SO I have a candle warmer with auto shut off now. Do you think a vessel with your wax melts on them would work? That spiced pear is calling my name...
Hey Molly! Yeah, I’ve left them burning a time or two and it is scary! I don’t know if they would work on that or not - they are meant to be over a light bulb but I imagine anything the is hot but not too hot would work (LOL - that was super helpful wasn’t it!)😎😋
I love your videos ❤ you are such a ray of sunshine, I love it!!! I also am going to sell mine at the same price so what would you say profit would be, apart from supplies? How do you measure out your wax and fragrance oil for silicone molds that are different shapes, it really confuses me lol
aw thanks so much!!! It costs me around $1 - $1.20 for the bags. Not a great mark up actually with the 4 for $18 but they are selling better with the bags. with the measuring out - I just wing it LOL and then after the first pour I can figure out how much to wax is needed. - a smarter way would be the water measurement but that is too much work for me LOL
U gotta have some kind of a zip bag. They are so strong ur gonna wanna seal them back up n they last longer in the bags u can seal. The shrink bag once u open them ull have a block of sting wax u can’t seal back up. Even if u left them in the clam shells u can still close it n it closes w a snug fit, but when u took them away from the clam shells that’s probably why sales dropped.
I can only say I hated square (but that was years ago and I think it is better now) and I am mostly satisfied with Shopify. None will be perfect though
I'm really happy with my Problend but it is def trial and error. I also stopped comparing my tarts to Scentsy - they have probably tens of thousands of dollars a years into R&D - I don't LOL
I totally agree that streamlining prices makes it way easier, especially for shows. I was able to leave the husband at the table for a short break and know transactions could proceed 😅
@@WalnutCreekBathBoutique see my husband is the super social and outgoing one, but he used to get nervous when I would leave to use the bathroom or something. By simplifying prices I know he's not stressing out. I'm honestly the one that only leaves home when I need to lol 😅
I have not wholesaled my wax melts, I have 1 wholesale account but she does not need melts or candles. They are available to wholesale though, and I would sell them for 50% of my rental charge. Currently $5 (so $2.50 each). Hope that helps!!
I did get too big of bags. I really had no idea what I was ordering LOL I wish they were heat sealable but I don't think they are - I'm pretty sure that is a specific kind of plastic.🤔
Hey Theresa! Thanks 😀- I just added it to the description box but here it is so you don’t have to go looking for it - www.clearbags.com/4-11-16-x-3-x-7-1-4-outer-dimensions-kraft-backed-stand-up-zipper-pouch-bags-100-pieces-zbgkc46.html
I absolutely agree they are tedious! I would not even consider them without my pancake pourer thingy I have. -NO WAY! haha😂 and even with that it can be tedious
they are actually selling much better. The small problem is they take sooooo much more time to make. I am still doing the small shapes though. I did increase my price to $6 but also increased the weight to 3 oz (from 2.5) - I didn't realize that my goal was to get paid for my time better and I ended up getting the same amount per ounce 😂
Problend 650 (I believe - always getting the numbers mixed up - but it is the Problend from flaming candle) I use this wax brand for my candles and tarts. One is 600 and one is 650 🤓
They have been much better! I can't seem to get anyone to buy any wax that isn't in the cute shapes in the bags. I have a fair number of the clam shell forms left and even marking them down people want the shapes 🤔😃
Hi Tammy, I love your videos. Do you know what I can add to my wax to make my melts harder? I use 650 problend right now and I will like to sell my wax melts individually. Thank you.
Hi! I add 10% IGI 4625 pure paraffin to my 650 - it really helps them to pop out of the molds when making and the burners after burning - 90% problend, 10% IGI, and 9-10% fo (which tweaks the wax % a little) good luck!! 💖
sure! here it is: amzn.to/4fTeIUQ most everything I use is on my Amazon storefront, but I am trying to make it easier to find by adding items to my description box for you to find easier - it just takes so much time I sometimes forget some items.🤔🤗
I personally feel the same old same old clamshells are lazy and boring, as are snap bars. I had been using small candy molds in different shapes to make sealing wax "beads", and now I've started using the same molds to make different colored/scented pieces that I combine into wax melt "flavors". It started as just a great way to use leftover wax and now I'm making mixes to give as gifts. If you freeze the molds to make them hard then let them sit for 10 minutes the shapes will be easier to remove without breakage. Also... are you SURE those fall leaves? That's the closest maple shape I've seen to the devil's lettuce!
Hi Lisa! Thanks for your comment! I love your process. I haven't tried leaving the molds out for 10 min before unmolding, I suppose this make sense as they won't be so brittle...thank you for your suggestion! 😃 those leaves 😂😂😂 I may have to stop using them LOL - I just went and looked it up to prove to everyone that these are maple leaves and I just prove myself wrong😂😂 - I think they are pot leaves!!! 😮I'm so embarrassed 😆

I was watching your video, i think you'll find your sales have dropped cause you're fast tracking the setting process by freezing. Doing that causes moisture in the candle and they don't melt like they should. Try letting them air dry they will be so much better quality.
Thanks for the info! My sales dropped before the small wax pieces so that is not the cause of that. But I did not know putting them in the refrigerator would cause an issue. 🤗

I really like the bags. Very cute. Looks a little more high end.
aw, thanks!! I do too. At least they are different enough to bring people in, and they start conversations too! 😍
😂 You can tell your husband I thought the same thing about the "maple" leaves too! All I could think was "Oh, that poor woman. She doesn't realize..." 🤣🤣 Love the video (as always).
I think it's because they're Japanese maple leaves instead of Canadian maple leaves. But, yeah, they do kinda look like, uh, something else! 🤣
LOL - yeah, I would have no idea hehe, I may be what you would call naive! 🤣
So which form of packaging do you feel sells more or brought your sales up?
I love the new packaging. I like that the customers can reseal the bag after grabbing a few.
Thanks Tammy!! Fingers crossed this works 😆😃
I love the bag packaging! The colors came out really nice, too. Well done, Tammy!
Thank you so much Nora! Fingers crossed they sell 😆

Thanks so much Becky! 🥰

A friend did mention people seem to be doing candles more rn vs melts.
thanks! the small shapes are def an attention grabber I have found.
Hello, love your videos can you tell me what kind of wax you are using. Thank you
thanks! I use ProBlend from the Flaming Candle - for wax melts I do add a bit of paraffin to harden them up a bit tho
I have the same xmass tree molds and find it tedious to fill them.

NOT a fan of plastic. People need to make a choice to purchase items NOT in plastic if there is a choice. For most instances plastic SHOULD be BANNED.
