    Pretty awesome video👍👍
    I have a 91JagDlx440LT 144 low gear for heavy logging and my and cousin, nephew follows along with my 92TundraLT and their polaris Sport SKS 151 with 4x10' sleds in tow.
    When we were done loading the 3 sleds with spruce logs I take that Tundra and we go boondocking and little ticker never gets stuck😂
    My nephew loves my little TundraLT😁

    We’re really enjoying your videos! That’s the kind of skidoo trips I always loved! I started out skidooing in 1963 when dad bought his 6hp skidoo. Great memories of so many fishing and hunting trips back in the bush with the old skidoo’s, hus-ski, snobugs, etc. My son and I have a Skandic SWT and a 20” track 600. We had 2 1989 tundra LT. Loved them. We’re seriously considering the 600 ACE. Love how quiet, and the low end torque for crawling between the trees or pulling a load. Btw, we love the music you’re added. Nothing better than good old time east coast music. Had some awesome house jams in Cape Breton when we visited my wife’s family. You have another subscriber from Northern Ontario 😊👍

      Thanks my friend. Well to be perfectly honest, I'm copying the plans my buddy did for his. However I'm going to mod the places where he wish he would have built it a little different. So I'm taking what he's got and learning from his mistakes/regrets to try and make mine better.

      I'm also looking forward to seeing your sled box Charlie along with your hot tent camping. I just bought a pair of 2013 tundra extremes with aluminum trailer that had only 350 miles on each for 15K.
      I actually wanted the 600 Ace, but the price was right on the pair of these and my wife thinks she wants a sled that is faster. At least the 600 E-Tec Motors don't smoke very much with two cycle oil. Anyway, it will be fun to see how you build your sled box. 😁🏔️❄️

      NLGhostWolf . I feel your pain. We used to do a lot of winter camping with a reenactment group I belonged to. We used bales of straw under a canvas floor in a canvas wedge tent to give us some insulation from the frozen ground. Trouble is, we have had nothing but mud this year. No fun to camp in and a royal pain in the arse to clean up after. The gun club where we camped used to just let us spread all the straw around on top of the snow after our camp out and they would shred it with a tractor and mower in the spring. It made lots of nesting material for the birds!!! Cheers! Whipple

    Hello Charlie, greetings from Abitibi Quebec I bought my Tundra last spring ......and started using it this winter. Your videos on the Tundra greatly influenced by decision to go with machine. Yesterday went on a ride to my camp in deep fresh powder....i still can t believe how this thing floats on snow.....i was up to my thighs when climbing off. Looking at it s size i was skeptical ...you can literally crawl along without any worries.....big change from the " boat anchors" i used to use in the past.

    • @NLGhostWolf
      @NLGhostWolf  5 років тому

      Yes Sir, they designed a keeper here for sure. Not sure why it floats the way it does but she can go in some amazing places regardless of the depth of snow... Just climb on and go... I'm going to be checking the weather and if it's going to be good, I'm heading in the woods to do a little winter camping and rabbit catching... I'm glad you like your ski-doo... If you can get it to move just 1 inch forward or backwards your not stuck.... She'll tap her own trail and go again... I love mine and if I even need to get another ski-doo I hope they are BRP have the foresight and wisdom to continue to make these sleds... Because my next sled if ever needed and still being produced will be the BRP Ski-doo TUNDRA 600 ACE LT....

    • @NLGhostWolf
      @NLGhostWolf  3 роки тому

      it good on a trail but I won't buy it as a trail riding sled. There are other sleds out there better designed to the trail. This one is designed for off trail or making your own trails. The nicest thing about it on a groomed trail is it's ski-stance you're not stuck or caught in the standard sleds ski-tracks that often cause you to jerk side to side as your carbides track in the tracks of the sleds that passed before you. Tundra's make their own tracks...

      then this is a good sled for you. I love mine and will buy another Tundra in the future if ever needed. I plan on having mine for many years to come. great video again, have you ever felt the need for ski skins or wider skis? or do the stock ds2's do just fine?

    • @NLGhostWolf
      @NLGhostWolf  5 років тому

      No here in Newfoundland we get a number of milds throughout the winter months and the snow packs harder and more solid. If the snow stayed in the powder conditions all year I would be inclined to give them a try but due to the shape of the front end with no "A-arms" sticking out to dig into the snow, the front end just rides up on top of the snow like a ski... So I'm not exactly sure how effective the ski-skins would be? I guess they would surely help at very slow speeds and reduce the ability of you plowing snow as you crawl along in deep powder, maybe? But because I live here where we do get a number of milds throughout the winters she's good just the way she is for me.

    • @NLGhostWolf
      @NLGhostWolf  5 років тому

      Well Mark the Tundra is a Utility Sled but by its very design happens to be outstanding in deep snow. It's narrow stance makes it extremely nimble and a true joy for slowly picking around in the back country. You can ride it on the groomed trails but it's not designed for that in my honest opinion. I ride my on groomed trails from time to time and have no issues. However, there are sled out there that are designed for both worlds... If you are going to be spending equal time on the groomed trails as you are in the off trails, then you'd do well to look at the cross-over sleds... Maybe I will go up to the dealership and do a video on the different sleds/models and what they are best designed for.

      Well just in my yard alone it ranges from 2+ feet to about 5+ feet. So up in the hills you're looking at 3 - 7 feet more in places where it drifts in... Less in the wind swept areas... Most of the winter we'll have bare ground and exposed rocks on the wind swept places... I know of some places up there where there is 12+ feet of snow already... But that's due to drifting snow filling in the low areas.
