is there any reason to not start with UART in this situation? I have one with intermittent issues of not turning on but beeping, then turning on after sitting overnight, also it eventually will stop connecting to any controller, temp fix was turn wifi off, plug in lan, controller to usb only. Weird one, guessing maybe wifi or southbridge but going to try uart soon thanks to your last couple videos
Thanks, bud. Yeah, in this case and similar cases, UART won't work because the southbridge isn't going through its full boot sequence. You can normally tell that when the current draw doesn't drop back down to 8ma after the southbridge initializes. UART needs the southbridge to work in order to make a connection, so if it can't fully initialize, UART is kind of pointless :)

@@TheCod3r okay bro , just the usc c end of cable has bent , still works but worried it get worse , I did buy a small extender and just taped it together but still would prefer it to be solid
