Look great my grandfather had a 52 and he loved it dearly. He was almost killed on it in 1967 he always said it was his fault. He’s buried with a picture of it.
I have a 1946 I'm restoring I switched my shifter and throddle to left hand shift right hand throddle like a Harley since I been riding Harley tank shift biked since 1969. My motor and transmission was rebuild by Larry Miller an old school Harley and Indian mechanic in Rittman Ohio. Thanks to Kiwi Indian and Starklite Indian parts I'm coming along on it.
It is no big deal to learn to ride foot clutch, hand shift Indians. I had abt 10 days B4 I picked mine up from Bob's Indian (Etters, PA - who has correct paint INDIAN RED forumula) and ea nite B4 I drifted off to sleep I'd put myself mentally thru the motions of foot clutch, hand shift. When I got it, I felt right at home on it. Took right off. Now if those colors on KinckSound's video are changed from the original and are really the deep maroon of Ind. Red, then I stand corrected. Very informative video, as a harley owner its good to see indian come back, gets kinda dull riding with only harleys.
very excited for the new Indian Motorcycles coming soon.
Absolute brilliant thanks 👍
You can briefly see this actual M/C in the movie "FLY AWAY HOME" - about Bill Lishman and his daughter leading Canada geese South with an ultralight.

Isnt because it was used for military use? I dont think all idians had a throttle on left.
I believe all hand shift Indians had the throttle on the left.

Почему не Индиан первый в Америке, а HD? Хотя они вторые, они слизали(скопировали) и повели себя как выскочки!
Nice bike spoilt by a load of stainless braided pipe. No need , original pipework looks better
A really good and knowledgeable Indian owner could pick this "47" apart. So many things not original.
I own a 46.....multiple trophies.
