It's so funny that people commenting on price think it's still 1980 or 1990 or even 2010.
Nick deserves credit for not turning off the comments like MANY classic auto sales posters do. You know there is a car for most every budget. You want nuts and bolts full restoration classics, try north of 40Gs. GREAT CAR, for the right person! Heck I see that lil yellow house on the right and I imagine living there. I would be on MM lot late at night, (smoking a cig lol), just loving looking at these cars.
Dad had one with a slant six. Fun car.
I have a 1974 project build I’m working on. It does have the slant Six as well
A 340 swap and she'd be a nice little ripper. Price seems kinda high but it is a muscle car of the era, so I guess. She's probably destined to a beaters life as it would probably be cheaper to just buy a nice one than fix this up but who knows, it might get someone who's a car guy who fixes it because it's worth it, not for money but to be a good steward of classic cars. It's cool. There weren't too many cool things left by '74, so.
Don't really know if it's the original engine, but a '74 bigger v-8 would have been a 360, if a person wanted to keep something nearer original. And, the 360 in 74, 75, and 76 came standard with dual exhaust.
My friend drove a green duster just like this to high school he paid $800 for it 😮 and of course this was in the 80s 😏 Man I wish you could’ve got a video on the charger before it sold.
Very nice project car right there. 318 can make a nice, fun little street engine.
looks like O'Bannon's car from dazed and confused . just got a paint job on it. LOL
Lol I thought the same thing
Same year, just needed a paint job. Grey ghost it apparently what o’bannon called it. Not sure if its true but thats a badass name
In 84 I bought an orange Duster and pinto for 800 bucks for both and ran good!
That reminds me of the duster I drove to high school wish my dad still had it
Me too. I had a 71 and a 73 back in the early 80,s cool stuff
Cool project car. Someone will probably grab it up that has an extra 340 laying around and some recent Mopar repair experience. Not me , I don't have any room for it with projects already in place ! I have a 72 340 auto Duster. Hey I love the intro music !!
By the way It needs to have a fan shroud definitely
We called those 'Ruster' back in high school, would love to have one now.
I miss my 72 340 duster 8 3/4 with 3.23s 727 Torque flight
I miss my 71 Dodge Demon 340 650 Holley 727 Torque flight. Bought for $400... when I was just 15 in 78
Motor was rebuilt with upgrades from Direct Connection. GREAT CAR!!!
I like it. Needs some work but that's half the fun. It's got good bones.
@Pauly Gambino If the body and motor are straight and original, I think it's a good value for the money. I live in the rust belt. You just don't see cars like that around here unless it's a show and they're worth a lot more.
Start a project duster at 9 grand. Not on your life.
@Pauly Gambino As over priced as this Duster is it makes me wonder about some of the other stuff.
@Pauly Gambino Absolutely. I want a car that is 100% metal. No bondo.
Betsy, needs a upgrade! Then she'll be a princess!
Very beautiful looking car beautiful colours thanks Nick have a very nice day
Damn another video
You going for the busiest youtuber of the month
Surely your going to get the employee of the month
I would start with upgraded exhaust headers and a built 340!!!!
I would start with the numbers on body parts ..
It's not worth 9k ..
My first car was a 73 Duster. Pea green with a slant six.
I had a 1970 Duster 340,loved it!!
I have one right now 👍
Keep up the good work,,,,I always think the horn will work
I agree with whitten it's over priced Worth about half that maybe just my opinion
Woo hoo a 318!!! I got my license in a 72 Duster!!! I love old Mopars! I miss my 72 Orange Demon 😈!!! Love your videos!
I can already see it that would be a great drag car
Gotta put in the 340.do the bodywork. Give it some nice paint do the bumpers body color.some nice buckets.but I'm afraid I would put more into it than the cars really worth
fixed up nice this would bring mid 20s
Love the Mopars !!!
Good project car for a dad & son to build a nice little hot rod.
It sure is!
Do you guys do trades?
In 1989 I got my first car, it was a green 74' Duster with a 318. My second car was a 75' Duster with a lame 225 slant six.😊
That would be cool with a 426 or hellcat motor
318...nice motor...👍
Thanks 👍
I agree, just too high on that price. $2700. 00 new off the lot. It’s not original with that hood, and you could only get so much out of the 318. It’s a ground up restoration and 10,000.00 is a lot of jack-to start that project.
I want to see that ‘68 Charger! 😀
Thanks Nick
If they were perfect they would cost more
Hello I hope you find more cars at this price I want one only I like chevell ss but I no I am Dreaming Thanks for your hard work
Exhaust leak?
what a beauty
Good drag car builder.
The fact you can get one and tlc it and your on your way big block 440 I say great video and music Nick
I love them Duster.
I'm guessing the console shift is pretty rare on a 318...
Might have been a 340 car originally. Someone might have blew up the original engine.
Had 72 duster 340 4 SPD when I was in the army
It just needed slotted mags to complete the authentic 70's look. People bought slotted mags for the same reason they bought Dusters and Darts...it was in their budget LOL!
I had a dodge dart that looked like this duster , had a 340 😂 that thing was fast , had the same hood same rims
Too high of a price.. Dad had numerous dusters and darts, mostly with the slant six. Nearly indestructible. It looks cool though
Horn never works on aftermarket steering wheel. That was a easy bet.
Like your music, one of your 1st subscribers. Is Blizz still together? A whip only a true MOPAR head could love. Christine's little sister. LOL. Spend a bunch and she'll be nice.
hi i just watch this vid its a nice duster for that price. just a few things that have to be fix great car i wonder if you sold it already.
In CA that's a 15k car....
lol
10:47
Is that chevelle still available?
I like
Good deal
man i need a 2004 mustang gt in my life nick
I am curious. Have you ever broken down doing one of these?
If Nick hasn't broken down?! Then he ain't drivin an old classic car??!! Lol!!
Me thinks your going to have a problem getting nine grand for that.
A nice clean version of this car is around mid $20s and we can’t keep them in stock. We have been blown up with phone calls since this has been posted. I think it will be gone soon. Thanks for watching
Yes, it's a good car, sorry,I'm the soup guy....thanks for watching
I bought a 74 Duster and the whole electrical system burst into flames and left me stranded. Wish I had bought a 1971 instead..
Looked like the seat belt scene in the movie RV.
be nice if you did a burnout in some of these cars to show what they got...
He does..., look at the chevelle video he just did...If the car is a capable car, Nick has no problem letting the tires rip...
In great shape the car is around 16-18k i would think. Frame up mid 20s
a nice one is mid 20s for sure , we have had some and sold them in the past. This one has all the good stuff going for it under 10gs
This car looks just like my Duster I had 20 years ago before some shitbag stripped it while I had it in storage. Also mine was a "Space Duster" like this one, but it didn't have the rear wing on the trunk. Same color combo though, and the same year, but I dropped a 360 in it replacing the tired 318, and converted it to power steering and A/C before having my family store it for me only to find out the shitbag down the street had stripped anything good from the car and my family had it hauled off to the salvage yard. It totally made me sick when I heard about it.
I just wished they would have told me as soon as it happened because I would have hauled it up north where I moved to. I still miss that old car. I had it 15 years before it got stripped.
some family you got lol
Always cheaper in the long run to buy a restored car unless you have shop experience
I agree, just ask my bank account. Restoring a car at a shop will break the bank.
Oh Lawd! I will offer you my Thunderbird and and $2,500 cash.
Good price 4 a muscle car
If the body/frame has no rust, for about 25K, I can build a nice car. Swap in a 440 w/727 auto, 3;55 gears, new dash, interior, gauge cluster and paint.
Size tires in the back
If the owner of this car is reading this and willing to part with it, please contact me. I would love to buy it.
I'm looking for 1967 442 black with cream interior.
I think horn works
Forgot hood pins
How hard to hook up kickdown
Easy....passing gear linkage from carb to tranny...
R Jenkins Nick seems a little lazy
@@KrisKazmierski ....Well, in all fairness....I assume the linkage is not installed and would have to be purchased, probably $20...and then approx 30 min. Install
it's a crime, the owner should have spent more time on the interior than on hood scoops and spoilers. I owned one of those. Only it had a 4sp. no center console. Thousands of miles looking at that dash Never ever got old.
Can you swap for a 383
MY mother had a friend that had a duster 360 she gave it ro me and I remember my morher complaining about it being parked in front of the house since we were living in a overpriced square affluent neighborhood I junked it for $50 dollars.this was 1989 and it was in showroom condition just didn't have time or space for it$50 yup $50
Please tell me that's not true...
@Pauly Gambino Running?
your moms a whooa
Mecum auto auction tomorrow
I'm not sure but I think that car came from Erie Pennsylvania
I reall like the cars, sorry not a music fan.😿
Sweet price can be a beauty with a little tlc!!!!
Yes indeed!
Maybe you could donate it to a poor 38-yo with Parkinson's so that him and his daughter could build a Mopar before he gets to the point that he can't. Can you say tax write off??😁
Sounds like a thrash machine. It needs a 340.
i like this car nick =) it will sell FAST...
I'll give ya $500 cash.
I had a 73..... 318 automatic transmission....never liked the thing...traded it quickly
why?
318....lots of work....no more than 2K
Al Bundy hot rod 🤣🤣💨💨💨🔥🔥🔥⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️👍
sweet car for a good price ......... :-)
THIS WILL SALE FAST..
To spend $9,000 to put in $5,000 to $8,000 worth of work. Radio is out, no heat, no working speedometer, horn doesn't work, wipers dont work, headliner, dash and seats need completely restored or replaced, the vehicle is out of alignment, the engine is running pig rich, there is a coolant leak of unknown origin. Your confidence is noted along with a depleted bank account of whoever buys it.
First
wrong
@@carl7803 looks like you're comment was a few seconds behind the original comment
But to be the first comment and say "first" is pretty lame
@@justingonzalez702 what's that smell? O karen
old car boet isn’t nice car
Love the car, but the Duster dash is so ugly 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮👿🤮
Can we stop calling any car from the late 60s early 70s a muscle car. 90% of the dusters and darts came with a 225ci slant six. Ever see a goat or Chevelle SS with a six banger, no of course not.
That car is a piece of crap not worth no more than 3500 $4,000
