Its about the same shape as the 1973 340 Duster I had body wise. The pull in steering would concern me only because Dusters are noted for the upper A frame hold down tabs on the frame to crack or break loose. Mine had a cracked one and needed to be replaced and welded up. My other concern is the smoke and I think the same as you do. I am sure if you stand behind the car your eyes will burn from running rich. My cars cam can and its idle sounded the same. My car ran a little on the rich side. It performed well though. I noticed when you hit the gas one time I see black smoke, that is fuel build up. The white smoke concerns me on weather it goes threw any oil or anti freeze. that is something that could take time to notice and driving it to notice. The interior parts you can still find used and someone will have them. Same for the stock wiper arms. Its a nice Duster and in nice shape. Not so easy to find like they use to be. I miss mine.

One of the prettiest cars you've shown in my opinion, of course I had a 72 with a 340 in it and it had a four-speed, I ain't heard it from my brother I was 16 and he was finishing up his tour in the military and it just got out of Vietnam and was going to Germany for a year so so he let me have the car, such sweet memories
Definitely pig rich. It was tuned for E85 most likely which requires about 45% more fuel which is why it’s extremely rich on 93.

Someone put some money into this car. It’s getting there. Classic Mopar with a little more TLC, this would be a 30 plus thousand dollar car. New steering column to get rid of the column shifter with the original steering wheel a must.

It's running very rich. That's why the initial smoke was grey, then turned blue. Washing oil off the cylinder walls. Nice car just needs a little fuel system work.

You may want to look into that tuning on that car. As rich as it seems to be at this moment with the 93 octane you put in and it may have been tune for E 85. Which would be is extremely rich on 93.

Agreed carb rich and rings. Yep. Who ever had it beat the crap out of it then dumped it.
Or when who ever put motor together didn’t space rings. Like you need to. Stagger the slots. Can do that also .
Either way just fixing carb mixtures will really clean a lot of that smoke up then see what pipes look like when jumping in it.
Not sure I understand the reference to a hotrod so you need to 2 foot her........are you trying to keep the revs up so it doesn't stall?

The car sounds good. But the carburetor is loading up bad. At least the horn works.

Manual valve body means there is no clutch but you have to shift
That duster definitely has got some internal parts in the motor bed it's smoking way too bad I would say the rings are disintegrated in the motor
