Why is everyone sitting?
My guess is many of them were Modest Mouse fans as the show was a shared lineup. My other guess is it's complicated: when you stand you block the people behind you. I stood for a few songs but I felt bad about the people behind me. The other thing is standing in those bleachers is awkward. It's not exactly my fear of heights but it's such a big incline and it's such narrow standing room that standing is really not comfortable (though neither is sitting on those metal benches.)
